Abu Ayyub Al Ansari that states that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him to give him advice and to make it concise. In response, the Prophet ﷺ replied with three statements: 1. Give up any desire to acquire what people have. 2. Do not say anything for which you must apologise. 3. When you stand for your prayer, pray as if you are saying farewell.(Hadith found in Sunan Ibn Mājah 4169) (taken from Onepath) Some comments from the lecture 1. If you expect anything from anyone, it will make you weak, dependent, but if you except only from Allah, it will make you strong. 2. Restrain yourself, before saying anything think 100 times, do not apologise too late. (Also, if someone apologises to you, you have to accept their apology) 3. Cherish every moment by believing that this is the last moment, have an observing heart, pray like a people of gaza) May Allah accept.
