He writtet alone this episode. In season 1,2,3 he writtet with more writters which were good. They need to put more writters in the episodes. I only saw 1 guy writtet each episode in season 9B and 10

I'm happy season 9 is actually good and I actually didn't think that Spogebob your fired was a season 9 I thought it would be in season 7 or 8 that's how good the season is for me
...Spongebob You're Fired was, is, and always will be my most hated episode of the whole show. I don't even see the value of the fight scene since 1) Squidward can't fight. And 2) There was no foreshadowing of some Krabby Patty superhero called "The Killer Patty". If you have a gun, establish it in the first act. If you have a Krusty Krab vigilante, establish it in the first act. Otherwise, it comes out of left field as an obvious contrivance and does nothing for the story outside of being a cop-out.
You didn't. I just like to be like that when someone says an episode isn't as bad as one may think. It isn't that you don't dislike the episode as much, it's that you're effectively saying "It isn't that bad" without giving any extra information as to why. What IS your most hated episode?
It's been a while since I've seen "Married To Money," but I still remember how bad it was. Like PieGuy said, it was predictable. Another thing I would like to mention is that it was greatly lacking in humor. There were some generic gags with Plankton almost being found out, but nothing was actually funny. Seeing Mr. Krabs bonding with Plankton disguised as a woman made out of money just wasn't fun or engaging in any way. I think that even a sour SpongeBob episode in terms of character behavior is still generally better than something so boring and devoid of life.
Miss Waffles The Kitten Yeah, I actually kind of liked "Married to Money" I thought the wedding scene was funny with Patrick eating the bouquet when it's tossed and then the ladies are all crying because they didn't catch it!!! XD XD XD XD XD
Yea I kind of agree. The only thing really bad about Married to Money was that ending. Seriously though, when I first saw that episode that ending had me saying wtf? It's seriously messed up for a Spongebob episode but the rest of of the episode is just predictable and harmless. Little Yellow Book was just infuriating to watch for 80% of the episode, especially when it comes to the townspeople. They all knew damn well it was Spongebob's diary Squidward was reading but try to act stupid when Spongebob starts crying. It just makes you want to jump into the episode and beat the living sh*t out of every fish treating Squidward bad.
Legit question: would you consider "SpongeBob, You're Fired" to be worse than "Truth or Square?" (With or without the Patchy stuff). I think it's fairly close.

The way you felt with Spongehenge pretty much sums up my feelings towards Spongebob You're Fired (besides a haunting song). I was a die- hard fan of spongebob besides all the Scumbobs. Like Choir Boys, SpongeHenge, Pet Sitter Pat (although that made me have a 1 month break from spongebob) etc, etc, etc. But this episode left me so INFURIATED that I stop watching modern Spongebob episodes ( I still watched the movies and Pre movie episodes) for 3 WHOLE YEARS Side note: I came back Mimic Madness of season 10 because it was on TV I watched it and I LOVED it I would consided this episode G O -O- L D Also another great episode is Krusty Katering because this episode had GREAT humor EDIT: I left out specific details incase someone wanted to watch these episodes and not get spoiled
Aww, you hated Company Picnic? That episode rocked my socks when I watched it! I thought it was kind of charming and pretty funny. Oh well, that's your opinion. Seriously, am I the only one who likes that episode? It's not the best, but it was enjoyable.

Christina Hunt Season 10 is the shortest season ever and only has a few episodes left to air it'll defiantly be done by this year as season 11 premieres June 24.
My top 5 worst SpongeBob SquarePants season 9 episodes: 5. "Mutiny on the Krusty" - How can Mr. Krabs be a good captain if he acts like a completely jerky tyrant to the customers? He made them beg like crazy! One thing I like about this episode is SpongeBob steering the wheel, it seems like a very clever idea. And I also like SpongeBob having to spend Mr. Krabs' dime which is the worst thing to ever happen to his property. Overall, this episode is bad mostly because of how selfish Mr. Krabs is by not letting the customers leave and not caring about anything like Squidward being eaten by a monster. 👨🏻✈️😫😫😫 4. "Salsa Imbecilicus" - This episode is dumb-dumb people doing dumbass things. My issue for this episode is that it seems as if people became even dumber than Patrick in this episode. Patrick riding the skateboard upside down is dumb of course but man were these people dumber. That butt licking scene where Plankton was inside Patrick's mouth was disturbing and disgusting in a not very funny way, and in fact very dirty! 😧 Although, one upside I have with this is the part where Karen and Sandy berated dumb Plankton, that was pretty amusing though. There are other things I don't like about this episode. The normal Bikini Bottomites became very dumb and it only took a semester to graduate. Honestly, it would take like 13 years to graduate from preschool to high school in reality. Patrick as a janitor still seems pretty dumb. And Plankton still being a dumbass throughout the rest of the episode though. Turns out that the Bikini Bottomites became dumber than Patrick rather than average dumb Patrick. Now they have to start their smarter lives over! Yeah, this is one of the worst episodes of season 9 for me because it's dumb! 🤤😤 3. "Little Yellow Book" - "Dear diary, whenever this reviewer gives me a bad review, I begin to ooze with green slime and be called a SCUMBOB EPISODE!!!" Technically this is one of the most hated episodes of season 9. The problem with this episode is that the plot goes exactly nowhere. We see the part where Squidward was reading SpongeBob's diary in front of the customer, the customer was like "Hey, that's not funny!" He didn't think it was funny, but then he started laughing like a hypocrite. SpongeBob's reactions though, whenever he hears the Bikini Bottom National Anthem, he strips down almost naked and dances like a goof, and whenever he sees someone wearing plaid he clucks like a chicken. 🐔 I find his reactions based on his diary to be cringy if I'm going to be honest. SpongeBob noticed that Squidward was reading his diary along with the customers laughing and so he ran away crying. Everyone berated Squidward, Squidward got his crime committed and got his house taken away. And the last few minutes though, that's our biggest problems about this episode. SpongeBob forgave Squidward but Squidward saw SpongeBob's secret diary he had on his back, took it, and SpongeBob ran away crying again! Most of the characters are unlikable. Patrick acted like a jerk to SpongeBob, like wasn't he SpongeBob's best friend? The Bikini Bottomites are also unlikable in this episode, and so is Squidward. Squidward didn't change or learn his lesson, he just didn't even care throughout the rest of the episode. Episode could've been more interesting if it were about supporting characters calling out Squidward such as Mr. Krabs (who should've gone further) and Sandy. The upsides of this episode are the first few minutes where Squidward was trying to get some peace and quiet while he was at The Krusty Krab, but one customer came and asked "Do you work here?" and everyone went ravenous. I also like how Squidward yelled, "SPONGEBOB!!!" with a megaphone while SpongeBob was hiding inside a barrel in the kitchen. The "I had a brother once" joke was alright for me. Overall, this episode has a lot of problems going on. 📔 2. "Squid Baby" - Accidental Squid torture episode, Squid's been tortured multiple times throughout this show. Much like in "The Thing," Squidward's been tortured by SpongeBob and Patrick unintentionally in this episode. Squidward saw SpongeBob and Patrick playing with baby toys in his lawn and injured his head. He went to the doctor and became an infant so SpongeBob and Patrick had to take care of him. Although, there are some upsides I have with this episode. I like the part where baby Squidward scribbled on the paper sheets while working at The Krusty Krab. And I also like the ice machine at the end. But still, this episode stinks just like Squidward's diaper. 👶🏻 1. "SpongeBob You're Fired" - Yeah obviously this episode. Oh boy, this is a BAD episode! 😠 Well if you said that this is a bad episode in the beginning of the episode review, we already know that this is definitely going to be a SCUMBOB EPISODE for sure. There are so many things wrong with this episode! SpongeBob cleaning things up in the beginning takes like 2 or 3 minutes long. Mr. Krabs decided to fire SpongeBob. Why? Because he just can't save a nickel, that's it! A stupid comedy, hur-de-der, "Krabs is cheap" joke. Maybe it would've been even worse if it was a penny. SpongeBob cried his tears out for like a minute or 2, flooding inside The Krusty Krab. 😭🌊 Yes of course this wasn't even the first time SpongeBob's been fired because what were the writers thinking? He's been fired a few couple of times in earlier episodes, of course. (Karate Choppers and Squid on Strike) Too much filler going on to make it a 22 minute special. SpongeBob got depressed later on and he couldn't live his life without working. 😞 SpongeBob did stuffs in a slow way along with Patrick who was having a good time. SpongeBob applied for a different job 4 times and got fired 4 times. Yeah, much like in "Le Big Switch," all SpongeBob could make is krabby patties. 🍔 There's the scene where SpongeBob actually made Gary snail food and it looks nothing like a krabby patty and that scene has NOTHING to do with the rest of the episode. Then the 4 mascots of all 4 restaurants tried to rehire SpongeBob but it seems as if they all tried to kidnap him. But look up on the building! A krabby patty mascot! A krabby patty mascot (who turns out to be Squidward) came to save SpongeBob, defeated all the other mascots, and took him back to The Krusty Krab. Uh oh, surprise of all surprises, The Krusty Krab was horribly run without SpongeBob! Because that has never happened in this show. (Help Wanted, Squid on Strike, Le Big Switch, Whatever Happened to SpongeBob, etc.) SpongeBob cleaned everything up again just like the beginning. And I honestly can't tell how predictable the ending of the episode is. Maybe the part where the elderly fish had to pay a nickel to use the restroom? God Mr. Krabs is very cheap! The only thing I would highlight is mostly a brief fight scene with the mascots and that's just about it. The fact that Mr. Krabs fired SpongeBob over a nickel is very stupid, even "Can You Spare A Dime" did it better where Squidward, who probably didn't get fired, quit his job because not only it was a dime but Mr. Krabs thought he was stealing it and they had a huge argument. This episode has too many problems! The filler, lots of rehashing, SpongeBob getting fired over a small amount of money, everything! The name of the episode is very similar to a season 4 episode, "Mrs. Puff, You're Fired!" Those stuffs have been done before! We really don't need a special about SpongeBob getting fired from The Krusty Krab even though we've already seen him being fired before. Overall, this is, without a doubt, the worst episode of the season in my opinion as well as most other viewers'. Even worse than "Squid Baby" and "Little Yellow Book" in which both of them have some upsides that I pointed out. This piece of garbage does NOT need to exist! 😡🌭🍕🌮🍜
Got done watching SpongeBob, You're Fired again for the first time in a while and PieGuy, you were right. It is a bad episode. I find this episode slow, unfunny and, well, pointless. The only thing I kind of liked was the "I'm ready" part. I felt like they forgot about that in the other seasons. Without a doubt, somewhere in my bottom 5 worst SB episodes of all time.
Y'know, PieGuyRulz, you make some excellent points here....and I appreciate your perspective on the special "SpongeBob, You're Fired". Now, first off, I know you said how SpongeBob's crying after getting fired goes on and on....and you know what makes it even worse? They actually LOOP the same crying sound elements over and over! Secondly, I remember you saying how the writers of "SpongeBob" claim that Nickelodeon had no involvement in the making of this special other than titling it, but you know what I'm assuming? Maybe they LIED just to cover for Nickelodeon (which, in the first place, has pretty much become indulgent in corporate greed over the past several years), and that Nickelodeon WAS the one who came up with this special after all (as you assumed in your Season 9A review). I don't really know for certain if THAT was the case, but I'm just guessing.....
Season 10 is waaayyy better. The only thing I kind of dislike is the 24/7 facial expressions that are Ren & Stimpy style. Burst Your Bubble is the best episode in a long time....imo
Lean On The only episode from season 10 I dislike is Plankton Retires, which was just a rehash of New Leaf which was unfunny and barely pushed its premise and had a very predictable twist at the end.
The funny thing is, a few of the eps in season 10 had its animation directed by Bob Jaques, who is known for his work on the Carbunkle-animated episodes of Ren and Stimpy (and are widely considered that show's best-looking ones).
Aaron Rice I actually enjoyed that one, it focus was more on comedy than the story, and I found it funny enough. And I honestly did not see the plot twists coming the first time I watched it
I actually have a Bottom 6 6. Squid Baby (Fettish and child abuse episode. Plus it’s a Squidward torture episode) 5. Bumper To Bumper (If the ending didn’t happen, I would’ve gave it a meh) 4. Spongebob You’re Fired (Don’t ask why, you know why I hate this) 3. Mutiny On The Krusty (Mr Krabs is a jerk, for no reason) 2. The Fish Bowl (Patprick just ruined the episode, I would’ve gave it mediocre if he wasn’t Patprick) 1. Little Yellow Book (Squidward has been turned into season 6-8 Patrick! This episode killed Squidward! Wanna know a fun fact? Even Paul Tibbit hates this episode! So yeah, this is worse than any season 9 episode)
My Bottom 5: 5. Spongebob LongPants: This episode is so much a rehash of To SquarePants or Not To SquarePants... Strapped for ideas, and really damn boring... It is not funny (maybe the sequence of him trying to use the zipper is amusing...) 4. Squid Baby: Another episode with needless torture... There is assorted medium problems. Stupid (and disgusting) toilet humor, lots of boring parts, and crying as well as head injuries. Rock-a-bye Bivalve did the baby plot way better. 3. Mutiny on the Krusty: This is a disaster. If One Coarse Meal wasn't a thing, then this would be Mr. Krabs' worst appearance. He’s the worst leader ever, and is highly incompetent until the last 3 minutes. Almost like a brain dead dictator. Also lots of flat jokes. 2. Spongebob You're Fired: I could get flak but this has a decent climax with the mascot fight. That’s it. This should’ve been called: Rehash the Episode. So many plots are surgically put together in this major mess. It’s unfunny, stupid, and horribly paced. 1. Little Yellow Book: Another episode that was talked into the ground. Squidward shows no remorse and never learns his lesson, nothing is funny (Outside the chicken secret and perhaps the line "I had a brother once!"), everyone is a hypocrite, and the episode is paced terribly.
I think that Little Yellow Book should be at least number 2, just for that ending. But, that's just my opinion on it. And yeah I figured that SpongeBob, you're fired was going to be number 1. Great job with the list!

I like the Company Picnic episode, and it was kinda nice to see Mr. Krabs actually enjoy Plankton's company 5. This episode is terrible. And I also completely hate instances of someone not learning their lesson. Think Viridi from Kid Icarus Uprising 4. I'm surprised to see this episode on the list. BTW I feel really bad for Mr. Krabs at the end 3. Really? I thought this was the best episode of the whole season! But there was a certain scene where Patrick... well I can't say it 2. I'm glad this season was better than the previous few seasons. But this season went on from July 21, 2012 to February 20, 2017. Why did it take that many years to make a season of spongebob? The biggest gap between season premiere and finale has usually been about 2-3 years. This season nearly took them 5 to make. Would you consider this because of animation and writing took so much time or something else entirely?
Well, the episodes from Extreme Spots/Squirrel Record to SpongeBob You're Fired were made from 2011-2012. Then they halted production to make the second movie. After that, they resumed production on the show with Lost in Bikini Bottom/Tutor Sauce.

In “Welcome to the Chum Bucket”, Mr. Krabs bet SpongeBob’s contract against Plankton and lost. In “Pickles”, Mr. Krabs made SpongeBob take a break to help get his priorities in check. He left the Krusty Krab in “What Ever Happened to SpongeBob?”. Also Mr. Krabs has fired SpongeBob or almost fired him for legit reasons, like in “Karate Choppers” and “Hooky”. Speaking of Plankton, why wasn’t he in the episode. Maybe have Plankton noticing SpongeBob leaving the Krusty Krab crying and then ask SpongeBob why, and then hire SpongeBob after he finds out. Mr. Krabs notices two things off like the Chum Bucket having customers and SpongeBob working at the Chum Bucket. Squidward could make joke like “You Fired him to save a nickel.” And now Mr. Krabs is now trying to get SpongeBob back. I get that it would be a rehash of “Welcome to the Chum Bucket”, but at this point I’d take it over an uncharacteristically depressed SpongeBob who got fired for a stupid reason.
In little yellow book I think the towns people are worse than squidward. For the simple fact that they wanted to hear the things in his diary. And they shame squidward for what knowingly did.
Married to Money actually did one thing I really enjoyed, or rather didn't do something I really enjoy. Of course with Plankton being plankton, he always announces his plans out loud everyone will hear it, and he will he act like he said something similar sounding. "The Formula will be mine!" "Huh?" "I said.. ughh We'll have a great Time!!" And I just feel that is an overdone gag, especially for plankton, so I am happy they did not use that gag at all in that episode, despite plankton still announcing his plans.
I can probably relate to endings of episodes being important. Be ending of "Good Neighbors" probably makes it be a much worse episode than it could have been.
When are we gonna get the episodes about Patrick working in Plankton's sweatshop and Barnacle Boy's son, son's wife, and four screaming kids? I love anybody who get's the reference.

The way you felt with Spongehenge pretty much sums up my feelings towards Spongebob You're Fired (besides a haunting song). I was a die- hard fan of spongebob besides all the Scumbobs. Like Choir Boys, SpongeHenge, Pet Sitter Pat (although that made me have a 1 month break from spongebob) etc, etc, etc. But this episode left me so INFURIATED that I stop watching modern Spongebob episodes ( I still watched the movies and Pre movie episodes) for 3 WHOLE YEARS

My top 5 worst SpongeBob SquarePants season 9 episodes:
5. "Mutiny on the Krusty" - How can Mr. Krabs be a good captain if he acts like a completely jerky tyrant to the customers? He made them beg like crazy! One thing I like about this episode is SpongeBob steering the wheel, it seems like a very clever idea. And I also like SpongeBob having to spend Mr. Krabs' dime which is the worst thing to ever happen to his property. Overall, this episode is bad mostly because of how selfish Mr. Krabs is by not letting the customers leave and not caring about anything like Squidward being eaten by a monster. 👨🏻✈️😫😫😫
4. "Salsa Imbecilicus" - This episode is dumb-dumb people doing dumbass things. My issue for this episode is that it seems as if people became even dumber than Patrick in this episode. Patrick riding the skateboard upside down is dumb of course but man were these people dumber. That butt licking scene where Plankton was inside Patrick's mouth was disturbing and disgusting in a not very funny way, and in fact very dirty! 😧 Although, one upside I have with this is the part where Karen and Sandy berated dumb Plankton, that was pretty amusing though. There are other things I don't like about this episode. The normal Bikini Bottomites became very dumb and it only took a semester to graduate. Honestly, it would take like 13 years to graduate from preschool to high school in reality. Patrick as a janitor still seems pretty dumb. And Plankton still being a dumbass throughout the rest of the episode though. Turns out that the Bikini Bottomites became dumber than Patrick rather than average dumb Patrick. Now they have to start their smarter lives over! Yeah, this is one of the worst episodes of season 9 for me because it's dumb! 🤤😤
3. "Little Yellow Book" - "Dear diary, whenever this reviewer gives me a bad review, I begin to ooze with green slime and be called a SCUMBOB EPISODE!!!" Technically this is one of the most hated episodes of season 9. The problem with this episode is that the plot goes exactly nowhere. We see the part where Squidward was reading SpongeBob's diary in front of the customer, the customer was like "Hey, that's not funny!" He didn't think it was funny, but then he started laughing like a hypocrite. SpongeBob's reactions though, whenever he hears the Bikini Bottom National Anthem, he strips down almost naked and dances like a goof, and whenever he sees someone wearing plaid he clucks like a chicken. 🐔 I find his reactions based on his diary to be cringy if I'm going to be honest. SpongeBob noticed that Squidward was reading his diary along with the customers laughing and so he ran away crying. Everyone berated Squidward, Squidward got his crime committed and got his house taken away. And the last few minutes though, that's our biggest problems about this episode. SpongeBob forgave Squidward but Squidward saw SpongeBob's secret diary he had on his back, took it, and SpongeBob ran away crying again! Most of the characters are unlikable. Patrick acted like a jerk to SpongeBob, like wasn't he SpongeBob's best friend? The Bikini Bottomites are also unlikable in this episode, and so is Squidward. Squidward didn't change or learn his lesson, he just didn't even care throughout the rest of the episode. Episode could've been more interesting if it were about supporting characters calling out Squidward such as Mr. Krabs (who should've gone further) and Sandy. The upsides of this episode are the first few minutes where Squidward was trying to get some peace and quiet while he was at The Krusty Krab, but one customer came and asked "Do you work here?" and everyone went ravenous. I also like how Squidward yelled, "SPONGEBOB!!!" with a megaphone while SpongeBob was hiding inside a barrel in the kitchen. The "I had a brother once" joke was alright for me. Overall, this episode has a lot of problems going on. 📔
2. "Squid Baby" - Accidental Squid torture episode, Squid's been tortured multiple times throughout this show. Much like in "The Thing," Squidward's been tortured by SpongeBob and Patrick unintentionally in this episode. Squidward saw SpongeBob and Patrick playing with baby toys in his lawn and injured his head. He went to the doctor and became an infant so SpongeBob and Patrick had to take care of him. Although, there are some upsides I have with this episode. I like the part where baby Squidward scribbled on the paper sheets while working at The Krusty Krab. And I also like the ice machine at the end. But still, this episode stinks just like Squidward's diaper. 👶🏻
1. "SpongeBob You're Fired" - Yeah obviously this episode. Oh boy, this is a BAD episode! 😠 Well if you said that this is a bad episode in the beginning of the episode review, we already know that this is definitely going to be a SCUMBOB EPISODE for sure. There are so many things wrong with this episode! SpongeBob cleaning things up in the beginning takes like 2 or 3 minutes long. Mr. Krabs decided to fire SpongeBob. Why? Because he just can't save a nickel, that's it! A stupid comedy, hur-de-der, "Krabs is cheap" joke. Maybe it would've been even worse if it was a penny. SpongeBob cried his tears out for like a minute or 2, flooding inside The Krusty Krab. 😭🌊 Yes of course this wasn't even the first time SpongeBob's been fired because what were the writers thinking? He's been fired a few couple of times in earlier episodes, of course. (Karate Choppers and Squid on Strike) Too much filler going on to make it a 22 minute special. SpongeBob got depressed later on and he couldn't live his life without working. 😞 SpongeBob did stuffs in a slow way along with Patrick who was having a good time. SpongeBob applied for a different job 4 times and got fired 4 times. Yeah, much like in "Le Big Switch," all SpongeBob could make is krabby patties. 🍔 There's the scene where SpongeBob actually made Gary snail food and it looks nothing like a krabby patty and that scene has NOTHING to do with the rest of the episode. Then the 4 mascots of all 4 restaurants tried to rehire SpongeBob but it seems as if they all tried to kidnap him. But look up on the building! A krabby patty mascot! A krabby patty mascot (who turns out to be Squidward) came to save SpongeBob, defeated all the other mascots, and took him back to The Krusty Krab. Uh oh, surprise of all surprises, The Krusty Krab was horribly run without SpongeBob! Because that has never happened in this show. (Help Wanted, Squid on Strike, Le Big Switch, Whatever Happened to SpongeBob, etc.) SpongeBob cleaned everything up again just like the beginning. And I honestly can't tell how predictable the ending of the episode is. Maybe the part where the elderly fish had to pay a nickel to use the restroom? God Mr. Krabs is very cheap! The only thing I would highlight is mostly a brief fight scene with the mascots and that's just about it. The fact that Mr. Krabs fired SpongeBob over a nickel is very stupid, even "Can You Spare A Dime" did it better where Squidward, who probably didn't get fired, quit his job because not only it was a dime but Mr. Krabs thought he was stealing it and they had a huge argument. This episode has too many problems! The filler, lots of rehashing, SpongeBob getting fired over a small amount of money, everything! The name of the episode is very similar to a season 4 episode, "Mrs. Puff, You're Fired!" Those stuffs have been done before! We really don't need a special about SpongeBob getting fired from The Krusty Krab even though we've already seen him being fired before. Overall, this is, without a doubt, the worst episode of the season in my opinion as well as most other viewers'. Even worse than "Squid Baby" and "Little Yellow Book" in which both of them have some upsides that I pointed out. This piece of garbage does NOT need to exist! 😡🌭🍕🌮🍜
Got done watching SpongeBob, You're Fired again for the first time in a while and PieGuy, you were right. It is a bad episode. I find this episode slow, unfunny and, well, pointless. The only thing I kind of liked was the "I'm ready" part. I felt like they forgot about that in the other seasons. Without a doubt, somewhere in my bottom 5 worst SB episodes of all time.

Y'know, PieGuyRulz, you make some excellent points here....and I appreciate your perspective on the special "SpongeBob, You're Fired". Now, first off, I know you said how SpongeBob's crying after getting fired goes on and on....and you know what makes it even worse? They actually LOOP the same crying sound elements over and over! Secondly, I remember you saying how the writers of "SpongeBob" claim that Nickelodeon had no involvement in the making of this special other than titling it, but you know what I'm assuming? Maybe they LIED just to cover for Nickelodeon (which, in the first place, has pretty much become indulgent in corporate greed over the past several years), and that Nickelodeon WAS the one who came up with this special after all (as you assumed in your Season 9A review). I don't really know for certain if THAT was the case, but I'm just guessing.....

Season 10 is waaayyy better. The only thing I kind of dislike is the 24/7 facial expressions that are Ren & Stimpy style. Burst Your Bubble is the best episode in a long time....imo
Lean On The only episode from season 10 I dislike is Plankton Retires, which was just a rehash of New Leaf which was unfunny and barely pushed its premise and had a very predictable twist at the end.
But there are a lot of episodes that are very good such as Mimic Madness and Burst your Bubble.
The funny thing is, a few of the eps in season 10 had its animation directed by Bob Jaques, who is known for his work on the Carbunkle-animated episodes of Ren and Stimpy (and are widely considered that show's best-looking ones).
Aaron Rice I actually enjoyed that one, it focus was more on comedy than the story, and I found it funny enough. And I honestly did not see the plot twists coming the first time I watched it

4. Squid Baby: Another episode with needless torture... There is assorted medium problems. Stupid (and disgusting) toilet humor, lots of boring parts, and crying as well as head injuries. Rock-a-bye Bivalve did the baby plot way better.
3. Mutiny on the Krusty: This is a disaster. If One Coarse Meal wasn't a thing, then this would be Mr. Krabs' worst appearance. He’s the worst leader ever, and is highly incompetent until the last 3 minutes. Almost like a brain dead dictator. Also lots of flat jokes.
2. Spongebob You're Fired: I could get flak but this has a decent climax with the mascot fight. That’s it. This should’ve been called: Rehash the Episode. So many plots are surgically put together in this major mess. It’s unfunny, stupid, and horribly paced.
1. Little Yellow Book: Another episode that was talked into the ground. Squidward shows no remorse and never learns his lesson, nothing is funny (Outside the chicken secret and perhaps the line "I had a brother once!"), everyone is a hypocrite, and the episode is paced terribly.

The biggest gap between season premiere and finale has usually been about 2-3 years. This season nearly took them 5 to make.
Would you consider this because of animation and writing took so much time or something else entirely?
Well, the episodes from Extreme Spots/Squirrel Record to SpongeBob You're Fired were made from 2011-2012. Then they halted production to make the second movie. After that, they resumed production on the show with Lost in Bikini Bottom/Tutor Sauce.

In “Welcome to the Chum Bucket”, Mr. Krabs bet SpongeBob’s contract against Plankton and lost. In “Pickles”, Mr. Krabs made SpongeBob take a break to help get his priorities in check. He left the Krusty Krab in “What Ever Happened to SpongeBob?”. Also Mr. Krabs has fired SpongeBob or almost fired him for legit reasons, like in “Karate Choppers” and “Hooky”.
Speaking of Plankton, why wasn’t he in the episode. Maybe have Plankton noticing SpongeBob leaving the Krusty Krab crying and then ask SpongeBob why, and then hire SpongeBob after he finds out. Mr. Krabs notices two things off like the Chum Bucket having customers and SpongeBob working at the Chum Bucket. Squidward could make joke like “You Fired him to save a nickel.” And now Mr. Krabs is now trying to get SpongeBob back. I get that it would be a rehash of “Welcome to the Chum Bucket”, but at this point I’d take it over an uncharacteristically depressed SpongeBob who got fired for a stupid reason.

In little yellow book I think the towns people are worse than squidward. For the simple fact that they wanted to hear the things in his diary. And they shame squidward for what knowingly did.
Married to Money actually did one thing I really enjoyed, or rather didn't do something I really enjoy. Of course with Plankton being plankton, he always announces his plans out loud everyone will hear it, and he will he act like he said something similar sounding.

And I just feel that is an overdone gag, especially for plankton, so I am happy they did not use that gag at all in that episode, despite plankton still announcing his plans.

I can probably relate to endings of episodes being important. Be ending of "Good Neighbors" probably makes it be a much worse episode than it could have been.
