Can I just say thank you for telling people 2 hours to get ready is standard. I’ve always felt like I’ve taken too long to get ready (I take 2 hours), and people make me feel badly for it! It is really nice to hear that I’m not alone.
Girl no, you are not alone! I love to take my time- listen to music, have a drink….it’s relaxing and fun! I hate being rushed.

Me too! It is my me time. I drink my coffee while I get ready. It soothes me.
I need 2 hours if more also whit dressing up.So do not feel bad,we do that as a lot of womans.

First off, THANK YOU for normalizing 2 hours to get ready! Bless you. I am by no means slow but when I get ready and want to look amazing, it’s a process and I take my time!!
Second, once again I have bought several items you recommended. You always have such amazing tips. I’ve been a packing cube girl forever AND I also fold all pieces of the outfit together, which is another time saver.
I work in travel and when I have planned an amazing trip for my clients, I also pass along the packing cubes and rolling outfits together tip-especially to my non experienced travelers.

I absolutely love packing cubes! Makes life so much simpler when traveling. My husband and I had a one night layover and I packed our next day clothes in one. Worked out perfectly!
I love how getting ready can be a fun event unto itself. Go Risa! I resisted packing cubes for years and now it's the only way to go.
As a transportation professional I did want to comment on the TSA Comment. I entrust that being a seasoned traveler, your family probably has TSA precheck
Or Global Entry. I can confirm that under either status, I have never had my 3-4 quart size bags critiqued in anyway. Under either status you dont even have to take them out. I have seen under regular Tsa check, they sometimes do make a big deal depending on the TSA agent. So I would suggest proceed with caution unless you have the special statuses.
Totally enjoy all your videos and advice on makeup.I usually take 30-40 minutes and people think that is too long.LOL.I could actually take over an hour if I wasn’t usually rushed by a family member.
This video made me feel so much better about my make-up and travel habits. Almost everyone I know is more of a, "I only pack a carry on when I travel" person so I feel like such an oddball. I always plan 2 hours if I am doing full glam. And people make me feel bad about that but for me it's fun. Thank you for making me feel not so alone. xoxo

Great timing for an upcoming road trip. The jewelry and brush cases going in my cart. Instead of packing cubes, although nice to have color coded and same style over years I accumulated similar zippered clear containers that came when I purchased clothing. Don't forget when packing mousses or hair spray, use separate zip lock bags, especially if in checked bag. Love you❤️

I bought the makeup brush travel holders on your recommendation for a trip to Hawaii and I love them. I actually use it for everyday use. I just switch out the brushes that need to be cleaned. It saves so much counter space in my bathroom.

I love packing cubes.
I love packing cubes, especially the ones with mesh so you can see what’s inside. I use one for workout clothes, one for pjs, one for underwear and bras, then clothes of course. I bought most of mine at Marshall’s or TJ maxx. I also own similar brush bags from Amazon. I use one for brushes, and the other for things like mascara and pencils.
Don't forget, if you pack your liquids into your suitcase rather than your carry-on, you can pack any size or type bottle you want, any quantity. Liquor, isopropyl alcohol, cans of butane, we've brought it all and more, as long as we pack it into our checked luggage. I always use ziploc bags to keep liquids from ruining the rest of my stuff in the event the bottles leak.
The last couple of flying vacations we took, I had a small makeup bag with a full face of travel sized products and tools and that was in my carry-on tote; I checked my main makeup bag and my toiletries bag in my suitcase and didn't worry about whether I was over the 3 oz. limit with any of those products.
Having that small travel sized bag saved my ass on days when I just didn't have the energy to wake up early enough to shower/dress/do makeup/breakfast/check out of motel/get back on the road. I also like to take my time doing my makeup, and although doing it in my lap isn't ideal, it does save SO much time to do it in the passenger seat. The lighting is better, too.
I love videos about organizing for travel! Just FYI, many sizes of airless pumps are available on Amazon, all the way down to 5ml. I use several on each trip to decant smallamounts of foundation, serums, etc. These containers are essential for saving precious space, especially when flying.

Sometimes I use an empty roll from paper towels, Christmas wrap….roll my clothes around them, even less wrinkles.
Packing cubes are essential for around the house use, too, for charging cords and small power banks, for journals, for workout wear

Risa as per your recommendation I purchased the brush holders. I have several different sizes and also use them at home. I keep my eye brushes in one and loose powder, blush, highlighter and bronzer brushes in the larger pouch. I am a two hour person also. Thank you

I love the packing cubes! I don’t know how I traveled without them. I do the same thing you do. I put them in the drawer when we get to where we’re going and when we come home I put them in the suitcase.

Loved this video! I actually have a lot of these items, but going to add a couple things I didn’t know about to my Amazon cart now! That is me 100% on vacay! 2 hours to get ready, need my own space! I set up at the work desk and if there are drawers in the desk even better! I usually bring a travel light up mirror but it does bug me I have to lean down to look into it or set it on top of something! Definitely getting the one you showed!

I laughed out loud when you were talking about now wanting to get ready when your husband is showering. I live in Florida, aka the Devil’s bum crack, and my rule is that my husband can’t shower when I’m doing my hair! I know it sounds ridiculous, but the humidity is brutal! I have a ceiling fan as well as a stand up fan in my bathroom, but it’s not enough to keep the humidity down. Thanks for making me feel normal! 😂
