I was 12, and I used to watch all those Disco Music shows on TV.....dreaming about getting to dance in fantastic clubs. I wonder whatever happen to all these 20 something (late 10s) young guys.......... I guess some of them have found this video and remember that special time in their lifes..... I really miss the late 70's early 80's.

Same, ive seen the Patrick Hernandez cut so many times, that i was almost disappointed that his song didn't play through the entirety of this competition. 😂

It was fun to see. (I thought the winner was one of the more boring, the moves reminded me of an aerobics dance class.) The Japan dancer moved with such finesse and precision. Sometimes he looked as if he were floating, weightless. I felt he really succeeded in fusing martial arts abilities into dance. I did enjoy seeing each person, as their moves and presentation reflected aspects of their cultural styles. Fun time capsule.
The age limits for the contests was 18-23 so I would wager that a good number are still alive - they'd all be in their early to mid-60s, which isn't very old as a whole.
Julie Brown was the home favorite. She wasn't bad at all. She went on to become a video jockey on MTV back in the day. Her catchphrase was "Wubba Wubba Wubba." Mr. USA could have had a future being a stripper. I'm glad Mr. Canada was in was in the top three.
Japan, Malta, Cyprus, USA all had such energetic and effortless moves UK wasn't bad but there was awkwardness in her dancing and I'd say the outfit was doing more for her choreography than anything 😅
After me and Arlene did our number in front of the whole school 🏫 we got charged with attempted murder. .. on the second lift she spun me around too fast.....and my pic went flying and stabbed one of the judges

After "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" you can hear a cover of Sylvester's "Disco Heat"
What about the song in 0:05?
1969... He had one job. This has to be the first and last time someone from Bridgend ever won anything.
Remember watching this🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 thank you

9:50 kuzey kıbrıstan savaş ömer, 11:40 Behiye Eraksoy Türkiye MİLLİ GURURLARIMIZ HAHAHAH ♥
#17 the winner in my mind ;) but everyone else was also good
#15 looks like he's dressed as Mario from the video game! I wonder what ever happened to all these contestants? How many are even still alive?

Is #31 (27:41) "Downtown" Julie Brown from MTV????
She wins!
She was not the best, she won for being british, Japan, South Ciprus and USA were much better

@@TheChameleon703 Loved that Canada placed in the Top 3. I don't even know the guy and I was like THAT'S MY BOI RIGHT THERE XD
Is the song in opening credits an actual song?
cool!
27 true disco dancing
Switzerland hotttttt❤
What is the song at 26:00 please?
« I’ m a man »
100%
Personally, I think Setsuo from Japan should’ve won
What is the name of the song at the beginning?
After me and Arlene did our number in front of the whole school 🏫 we got charged with attempted murder. .. on the second lift she spun me around too fast.....and my pic went flying and stabbed one of the judges
i AM SO GLAD I WAS NOT AN ADULT DURING THESE YEARS
Why not?
Зонтики в цвет флага России
Japan should've won
parece un cover de Billy Moore - Go Dance el intro
Lucky got robbed. That swinging slong move should’ve been an instant win
WTF?
She would have to win, her legs were on fire.
😂😂😂 Where's the dancing 😂😂😂😂😂
As you can see privellge was there too not just with Ray gun. Not one is remotely a good Dancer. Just two body poppers
These covers are lame why can't they use the original songs
So they won’t get sued for copyright infringement (maybe)
Really? I'm preferring a lot of the covers over the original lol
Copyright law prevented it.
it costs much more to use original songs.
so they get some lame band to re record them.
sad but true.
... where CORNY came from
