- This Sonic Frontiers DLC has proven many things about the new gameplay, for better and for worse...
FUN FACT: This is the first video in this channel to exceed 30 minutes.
I didn't want to spilt my experiences with this DLC into "Let's Play" episodes. So I decided to put the majority of it all in one video. I am not sure if I will do something like this often, but it is a possibility.
This DLC shows both the strengths and weaknesses of the game and its formula as a whole. While there were some moments that made me genuinely enraged, the majority of it was overall fun. Being able to play as other characters and using their unique abilities shows how versatile the gameplay formula can be and expanded upon, allowing gimmicks to be implemented more fluently than previous "3D Sonic gameplays".
Honestly, this video was supposed to be released a lot earlier (like 2 to 3 weeks earlier). However, a lot of editing problems arose, which dampened the process of making this video in a timely fashion.

This DLC is definitely a Monkey's Paw for those who wanted a harder game. Once you get past all the impossible challenges, though, all the other content is hella fun!
Also, this made me realize just how important the sidestep-kick is for stuff like this. Never gonna underestimate that move again.
oooh I was wondering if ya would do a vid on this!! I have a love/hate relationship with this update. The story, music, and playing as Amy, Knux and Tails was stellar.
The 2nd and 3rd tower.... I was playing and my friends were watching and compared it to Getting Over It. Legit had one of my friends who majors in physics help me with one of the rail bits. I ended up having to swallow my pride at the second tower cause the breakable objects wouldnt respawn, so I had to turn it to easy to utilize the balloons.
The final boss was an actual challenge, in both gameplay and cause of some issues (autolock my beloathed, and the trees ;-;) but did lead to some funny moments of me screaming to pull out the "umbilical cord". But damn was it fucking cool as hell.
I love the cyber sonic we got. Lil sad we didnt get to play him, but I love how it references dark sonic and fleetway super sonic.
Now, the master trial. Oh my lord. I had to stop one night cause it actually triggered my carpel tunnel really bad, and it glitched me out of fighting giganto. Once I swallowed the easy pill thou allowing for more parry time (I believe the parry time in the game is a bit wonky and needs more refinement), I was doin pretty good, and contrary to most, Wyvern was still the easiest and my fav. The knight on the other hand wasnt. But basically stomp and cyloop came to save the day.
Out of the playable characters, while I love the sounds Amy makes with her lil hops, I feel compared to knux's glide being broken af and tail's cyclone, shes not as enjoyable. But I still loved playing as them all XD

Honestly I love Sonic Frontiers as a whole unlike most Sonic fans, I both love the main game and the DLC episode equally for their own reasons and I love the new ending cause it made me almost cry just as much as the original ending! (See ya next time Raptors!)
I will admit, this DLC is not the best, but it definitely improved the Final Boss.

This Game is such a Masterpiece, but with this Update it's just a Perfect Sonic Game. That's what the Fans wanted from a Perfect Sonic Game and I also looking forward what comes next and what Raptors could upload for a Video soon. But this was just 🔥

Yeah the first 3 titans weren't built with Perfect Parry in mind. 1 frame isn't a lot. They did update the game to make the window more generous after people complained. But for those who managed to master the Perfect Parry on hard mode and beat the trial pre patch, bragging rights to you. I am one of those people, so I also get bragging rights. Also, when I managed to do it the first time, I only had 100 rings when I got to Knight and still won.
I will always love the fact that Tails’ basic attack in the game is basically just “Yeet Wrench.”

Well done Raptors you did a wonderful job and yes the dlc is rock hard in difficulty and there is no shame in using easy mode there but you still made it through, congratulations. That ends this story but that just means a new one will take it's place, life continues on as always. The end is only the mark of a new beginning.

Just got the CD soundtrack for this games 3rd update The Final Horizon the mail today at 2:34p.m. and it's the Sonic Frontiers Expansion Soundtrack: Paths Revisited CD and I'm listening to it while watching this! 5:56p.m. 12/19/2023
yeah the diffculty spike for final trial was ridclous i had to turn it to easy mode love the dlc but the bosses are not made for perfect Parrying took me a while to figure out how to attack the cord on supreme love this gamei am very excited for future of sonic games its gonna be hard for more sonic games to best this one espically with the soundtrack
I beat the bosses on hard and it took me a week to beat them all i didn't wanna bitch out and fight them the cheating way no no no i actually tried to beat them on hard unlike you, Raptors and other people that did this challenge

I understand what you had to go through Raptors for the Master King Koco trial. It was hard but I was able to beat it in a week on hard, but I also see in the video that you didn't parry the missiles in the Wyvern boss fight i'm guessing it's because you didn't know about it, am I right?
