Yeah I totally agree! It irritates me that now we've gone too far the other way from exclusively blaming the other woman to now not blaming her at all no matter what the situation is. If the other woman didn't know she is blameless. If she did know she's EQUALLY as bad as the cheater. Period. They hold equal amount of blame and are equally terrible people. Oh! I remember that woman! The woman who trigger Mr "self" control is the same one who debated circles around, and beat tater tot on his own podcast. She had rebuttals, counters, and brutally intelligent jabs that tater tot boi obviously was not ready for. Even when he was going at her with personal insults, ad hominems, etc, she was brutalizing him with cold hard facts.

@@gansz_lol While there's nothing wrong with being traditional, there's also nothing wrong with being non-traditional/unconventional as long as one is open & honest about it from the get go. In this particular case, if the man in question truly didn't think that he was doing anything wrong he wouldn't have gotten defensive. The only thing he needed to do was argue that either he has room for more than one person in his heart or that it's alright to have relations outside of a romance as long as all parties are aware of the situation & consent. He didn't have to get defensive & he certainly didn't have to attack her.

I appreciate you saying that it takes bravery to tell someone their partner is cheating on them. I was put in that position and felt obligated to tell his girlfriend, and she got mad at me. That was honestly traumatizing for me.
Yeah happened to me to I told a friend his bf was cheating even took a picture. She said that I was a liar because I've always been jealous of her 🙄 and the picture was edited she called me out in front of a lot of people for it. Skip 4 months she showed up at my house apologizing because she caught him in her bed with another woman. Safe to say I slammed the door in her face. Don't be traumatized it happens but at least you know who is truly your friend. Plus most people are not like that
I think at the end of the day, you have to be able to live with yourself, which means acting based on your own personal ethics and values.

I don’t get why the owner would want to close down for a huge chunk of time and make no money while still paying the usual expenses. They’re getting free food and alcohol and the restaurant can’t even serve other customers to help balance it… Literally what’s the point?
The thing is, when you work at that high class if an establishment, the tips balance out. You are making tons of money on a regular basis. You don't want to walk out of a place like that with no notice because you want a positive reference from that place. That is the kind of place where is goes from waiting tables as a hustle to get through college to waiting tables as a career. These people really are making bank.

But I do believe that these servers are "stuck" not being able to do anything about it and just hoping the rest of their week makes up for it.
If it were me though, I would look for a similar establishment with dissimilar practices, after I had stayed at that place long enough to have a positive reference on my resume.
I once had to stay at a pretty messed up serving job for a year because I *really* needed the positive reference to advance to better serving jobs, because not all serving jobs are created equal.

I have a friend of a friend who is the GM of a very hot, super expensive restaurant. (Tons of celebrities and generally very wealthy people) He has had no problem banning people from coming back to his place of work if they don’t tip or behave in a less than kind manner towards the staff. He’s heard the whole “Do you know who I am?” BS. Yes, they know who you are and you should be embarrassed!
Why an owner or GM would tolerate or bend over to accommodate people like that is beyond me. It’s time all of society starts demanding accountability and respectable behavior from all people, rich/famous or otherwise. And for God’s sake, stick up for your staff when they are wronged! Sooo tired of hearing about the foul behavior of these Kardashians.

My mom walks dogs for a living. She's noticed that the richer the client was, the less/no tips she got. It was always the people that were teachers or who didn't make as much always leaving a tip.
I notice this with Door dashing too. The richer the neighborhood the less chance you have of getting tipped.
When I was waiting tables the best tippers by far were strippers from a club down the street. Easy to get along with too, didn't fuss if their orders took a while to make either. Worst were the Sunday afternoon crowd.

Years ago, my firefighter father used to take part in a fundraiser every December. They dressed a fire engine up as a sleigh, put a mechanical Rudolph on the front, one of the lads dressed up as Santa, and they'd go round the area collecting money for a charity that provided trips to the seaside for kids in the care system.
In the poor areas, kids would come out and empty their little piggybanks into the buckets, stating "those kids need it more than I do". People in those areas knew what it was like to go without and could empathise. They raised a lot of money round there. But in the richer areas? They had to stop going to them in the end, because it cost more in fuel to go round them than what they received in donations. People would come outside, look, then go back in without giving a penny. Not a shred of empathy.
So I'm not at all surprised that your mum gets that response. People who know what it's like to work for a living will value her far more than those who have never struggled.

When I learned about the old Ashley Madison site I created an account and found him there. I then told him that I caught him at something and he needed to come clean about what he was doing online. I love seeing women who are prepared for the arguments going on those shows. I wouldn't call the women that are typically on there dumb, I'd just say they went in unprepared. I think the difference in the arguments, when looking at those podcasts where they make it men vs women, really boils down to the women guests they have on the show are not as willing to just make up bullshit arguments up on the spot like the male guests are.

The Ulta thing happened to me as well. Someone used my points in another area of my state...that I never go to. They used them in-store, so I assume that they heard me say my phone number in my Ulta store or it was an employee. I got my points back, changed my number on the account, and now make them scan my card. I refuse to say my phone number out loud at any stores.
Not for makeup, but this also happened to myself and my SO using Buffalo Wild Wings rewards. We went in a few months later to cash in on some free wings we earned over the time, only to find out that all of the points were used in Florida or something (We are in DFW area as well as the story here). We also now have changed the number, and write it down for them so I don't have to say it aloud anymore. We did not get our points back unfortunately. it was months between our visits and when they were falsely used..
And now we know that no, that door couldn't have held Rose and Jack.

The more I see that kind of stuff, the more I believe that the majority of Tik Tok posts are either misleading about the truth, or completely made up. Im wondering how she would access someone else's account & know that they have points available, if she did do it. It seems very odd. You would need their rewards card or access to their account or phone number. And that still wouldnt tell you if they had any points available.

PERIOD! My brother used to work at a sports bar & football players would come in occasionally. Some would tip big, others regular. One time someone came in with a big party of people. Spend big on food & drinks. Didn't leave my brother anything. He came home super pissed.
@@alexandriav3956 my brothers been in the restaurant business for 16 years & because of him & his experiences I've learn to be even more empathetic to servers. I think the one thing I've witnessed that irks me is when the foods "bad' & because of it people skimp on tipping their servers. Like, it's not their fault the food wasn't to your liking. They can only do so much.
Yupppp. I worked at a Dutch Bros in Santa Rosa, CA. That's the town Guy Fieri is from. I never saw him come through, but some of my coworkers had served him in the past. According to them (can't confirm), but he wouldn't tip. His son would, though. He also almost hit one of my high school friends with his car. 😅 Both of his restaurants in town shut down cause people didn't like him.
In a place like the US (and maybe Canada) where they underpay wait staff "because tips" it's disgusting not to pay. And I think the percentage had gone up over the years because I vaguely remember in the 60s & 70s, maybe even early 80s, the standard tip was 10%. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I was young enough that I wasn't usually paying. And the myriad of other people you're expected to tip these days? Elsewhere in the world a tip is a bonus for exceptional service and not usually expected. The staff are paid better by the employers as a result and this type of nonsense doesn't happen. In Australia if you're not being paid correctly with holiday & overtime loadings where applicable, people/the union will pursue the employer legally. One of our original MasterChef judges got pinged for this. Substantial enough amount that it was (I think, sorry if I'm wrong) goodbye restaurant and goodbye MasterChef gig.
@@kathydurow6814 I think tips are 15 to 20% now, depending what state you're in. I've seen one of my brothers paychecks & was disgusted by what I saw. The only time he gets real good tips is during football season when everyones out watching the games. So less than half a year he's got more money in his pocket. He got semi promoted at his last job to event manager for the party room, but still worked as a server as well. So his pay went up slightly, but his server shifts kept getting cut. So he quit after being there for almost 10 years. I wish the states would take the European/Oceania route with their restaurants. My brother LOVES what he does, but less than minimum wage is deplorable.

I was once with this friend of a friend and he seemed cool and sweet and smart. Fast forward a year later, and I find out that while he's planning dates with me, he has a whole wife. my friend helped me find and message the wife, but I think she blocked me. oh well. Also, he's a massage therapist who uses his job to cheat. There's nothing I can do about it now. You can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved.

I personally agree that your friend that tells you your partner is cheating is a real friend, but on two occasions in my twenties, I exposed men to their partners for hitting on me (one of them showed up at my door!), only to have the woman friend blame me and end the friendship. I still expose that crap, but I don't expect gratitude.
This happens a lot, unfortunately, but I think the tide is turning. That's why a lot of people let them know anonymously, so they don't kill the messenger.
Yeah happened to me to I told a friend his bf was cheating even took a picture. She said that I was a liar because I've always been jealous of her 🙄 and the picture was edited she called me out in front of a lot of people for it. As someone who works at Ulta, this happens too freaking often with random ass people trying to steal other people’s points. Just recently, this happened to one of my coworkers….it’s bold because we always get asked for our ID’s when we purchase anything from any Ulta since we are associates and they have to make sure we are the same person on the associate account. It’s heartbreaking when we see customers get upset because all the points they’ve saved up for a major purchase are all gone and find out they’ve even stolen by some person within the state or out of state 🥺
I highly recommend changing your Ulta Beauty account password as often as possible to avoid this problem or even with giving your phone number for points, ask to write your number down instead of saying it out loud. Just be safe out there peeps because you never really know who could be listening a little to closely or watching
Id saved up near 8k points on Sephora, one day woke up to see 7500 of my points was redeemed for 3x$100 gift card. I swear I’m literally in tear but then realized the egiftcards was sent to my email😳. Until this day I still don’t know who got accessed to my account but thanks goodness I did not lose all those points😭😭😭

Fun fact about Hamilton ON, once my friend was driving me somewhere and we passed through Hamilton. I grew up with parents that were of the mindset that if you didn't have enough money to tip the server then you didn't have enough money to eat out and 20% was a standard for them back when 15% was the social norm.
