Because Vader left NJPW for UWFi in 1993. The Big Van Vader and Mastodon Helmet were NJPW property and Inoki took it back. So he wrestled as Super Vader for UWFi and was basically going as Vader stateside in 93 as well
I went to my local target earlier today and I found this Vader. I couldn't believe it. I found him along with Legends series 18 Hogan and the Razor Ramon Ultimate. I picked up all three :)
To the best of my knowledge, Vader never used the Mastodon helmet in WWF/WWE, which is unfortunate. Imagine Vader at a current WrestleMania with that helmet, blowing smoke! It would've been epic. Vader was and will always be the Man! (No offense to Becky OR the Nature Boy) ITS TIME - ITS TIME IT'S VADER TIME!!
Great video Sir. I have the Mattel Vader from several years ago so I don't need this one. And you're so right, the big men are missing from today's wrestling. One Man Gang, Bam Bam , Earthquake and Vader were awesome.
Yesterday before I went to a local Indy Wrestling show I stopped at The Super Target and there was a Royal Rumble Elite Vader looking right at me and I picked it up. And I needed Vader to complete my Dok Hendrix/Michael P.S Hayes build a figure.
Yeah I’m not sure what else they could do with Vader. Maybe another WCW one with the 1991 belt. Maybe if they bring back the Hollywood line for another short run they can possibly do Boy Meets World.

Vader never wore the mastodon helmet in WWF. Probably included since there aren’t really any other accessories they coulda packed with him and if you already had the Legends fig then coulda threw on him instead of the cape.
I don't collect wrestling figures just marvel legends and dc multiverse but I want this Vader figure because he's my favorite heel of all time.....Vader only had the Mastodon helmet in WCW and never in WWF
Always up for another Vader figure. Big fan too and he's just so toyetic. Yeah, the packaging on these ppv sets looks really good. I like the molded on mask. Normally I like separate pieces but this looks great. I bought 2 of those Legends Vaders too so I could move one of the helmets to this one. I still love the white cape figure.
I’m going to pick this up for all the new upgrades but not sure if I should sell the old. I currently have E31 setup with the new legends head scan & mask.
When he came on to the scene as Big Van Vader I was scared of him. Lol. Was legitimately concerned for all the faces in wcw. All in on this figure. I prefer the legends release, but the sculpted mask on the new fig is excellent!
I passed on this originally because of the legends vader , one of my fav recent legends but this review im gonna pick this up enough differences for me to go ahead and fork over the 30$ thanks Kyle

This is 100% the Vader I remember, personally I prefer the sculpted mask. Also just got my hands on the NWO macho man ultimate edition, such an awesome figure!

Idk which to collect elites or classic superstars. I like the looks of classics better. Elites dont even look like the wrestler but more posable.
