This all depends on your preferences... But you can make some absolutely crazy combinations. Base game No DLC Nigersaurus x2 Ankylosaurus x1 Archeornithomimus x8 Edmontosaurus x4 Pachyrhinosaurus x3 Is only 1500 appeal and requires the same area as about 4 lagoon tiles. However it only needs ground fiber and fruit, ground leaf and forest. Fruit and fiber are easy to get together, the leaf requirements are just for the anky so it's not all too much And absolutely no species conflicts. You can comfortably add in scavengers if you wanted to. Equally 3-4 lagoon tiles and 1 tylo is more appeal 😂 So if it's to make large multiple cohabiting species enclosurers... I struggle to find any that go over 6 species together and a balance in fauna and flora
I loved the first game but I’ve been hesitant to start playing this one because I’ll need to play on Jurassic difficulty. Your videos have given me enough confidence I think I can do it. This video was particularly helpful.
Suchomimus also pairs really well with herbivores as long as you breed them to be more docile, one of my favorite combos is to have a Sucho and Gallimimus herd.
Suchys and barys would still fight each other. The “likes” trait doesn’t seem to actually apply for carnivores except for compys. Everyone loves compys
@@gumbyshrimp2606 suchys and barys dont fight i can confirm 100%. They are expection. Its my favorite combo. Did it many times. They are both piscivores and not true carnivores and work very well together. Just make sure non of them have agressive or intolerant trait.
the suchomimus and barionyx enclosure can additionally hold small herbivors, thats something i used on the jurassic northwestern usa map to lessen the species penalty quite quicly.
thanks for all your videos... they good and you spend a bit of time.... :) id say as well, put in your description whats the best for appeal :") cheers
Try Tylosaurus, I think thats what it called. Its basically a baby Mosa. You can use 2-3 (maybe 4 with the correct gene traits) in the same amount of space as a Mosa but gives more rating. If you go slightly bigger enclosure, you can add pleasiosaurus. Sometimes they will get eaten by Tylo, but not very often, allowing you to quickly make more but also increase rating. This is what I did to complete USA Northwest Map on Jurassic Difficulty.
I will test it with my aquatics testing! I have used it before, and I added the plesiosaur as well. I think it's strongest attribute is that it has a good price to appeal ratio (you get more appeal for your money.)
This is exactly what I came online for lol really nice with the lagoons been wanting to try hotel pens different sizes and now I'm wondering if hotels with lagoons around them will also be workable :) unfortunately my kids needing constant attention kind of ruining my ability to test myself so I'll be paying attention to what you find out!
That sounds like a nice idea, and really in sandbox you can get away with a lot, so you should definitely try it! I will begin testing the aquatics and should have a detailed video up in the next few days with my results!

If a 2nd Rex causes the required area to more then double, why not run a fence through the middle giving them each their own territory? Theoretically that should thus be more space efficient.
Hi, I did this the wrong way round, watched the Aquatics first (and subbed 😁) then came to this. Excellent stat content and u'll b my first call for any future needs (I'm relatively new to JW2 ) WD 👍👍

I had no clue the Asian Rexes were that good for appeal per space. Goddamn... Also, can you test the Kronosaurus, Carnos/Majungas and the Ceratos? The latter two are your starter carnivores on most maps, and I wanna see if they have any merit beyond just jumpstarting your park, and the Kronosaurus is more space efficient than Tylosaurus despite costing slightly more...
I can definitely test most of those, but I don't currently have the Kronosaurus, I didn't buy the DLC yet. I can tell you after recording that video and testing a little bit more, the Majunga is gonna be the way to go out of those three dino's! It had 4300 rating, the Cerato only had 2200.
You basically have to use every species they give you on that one. You will have to make a bunch of herbivore enclosures to get more species, and then add in carnivores to finish off the appeal. I like to make a bigger suchomimus/baryonx enclosure since the suchomimus gives really good appeal for the space.
This is most Important, but when is somebody at Challenge Mode is it worst, you have to act quickly there and not think too much. Then it costs time and thinking, then it is worse to put things together after the storm. But as I say only in Challenge Mode..... My Nerves
I like the Allosaurus model, it looks really cool. It doesn't have the best stats, but if you are just playing to have fun then stats don't matter quite as much!
What about for herbivores that needs ground Leaf? I’m having a hard time trying to factor herbivores in Jurassic difficulty for Challenge mode and the Deinonychus’s is being a lil annoying to deal with tbh.
@@jamesvarela233 A good enclosure for ground leaf eaters at the start of the game is filled with Nasutoceratops, Polacanthus or Nodosaurus and Struthiomimus or later Gallimimus.
i dont use dinosaurs that use fish feeder. because that damn thing doesnt work on ps4. says it needs to be in shallow water. i've tried everything. raising ground, lowering it, flatten whatever you name it. the feeder never works. gave up on it.
The problem is usually making the water area big enough, if you can't place the feeder try putting down more water until you can place it. Depth doesn't change anything for the feeder, it's based on just the radius, I believe the feeder has a square outline that shows how much space you need.
Marine dinos seem bad in this, lagoons seem to make park ratings jump significantly more than standard enclosures though. I can regularly gain far more stars and far quicker from lagoons which makes me wonder if something else is at play here. Maybe variety?

Tylosaurus is a appeal monster, compare it to mosa
Modify their gene (TRex)to get an alpha with the humble trait and there is a chance you can get 2 in that space without them being unhappy
I actually did try that, it still wasn’t enough space.
What about for herbivores that needs ground Leaf? I’m having a hard time trying to factor herbivores in Jurassic difficulty for Challenge mode and the Deinonychus’s is being a lil annoying to deal with tbh.

@@thexprt7058 Jurassic since you have to play Jurassic to get all the skins.

I understand what Ur saying about the appeal yield for the park space etc
But the bit I'm struggling with (and this is me being a complete noob that can't build parks because I have the artistic range of a 2 year old)
Is alot factors into appeal rating
The genetics the space comfort
Then everything else comes into it
Personally I think the enclosure should factor into it ..not just space
But a standard square with a puddle a dash of sand and couple of trees should not yield the same appeal as an enclosure that's has intriguing details with in the enclosures
In other words to put a algorithm on itthe more U spend the more details U put into an enclosure without sacrificing the comfort of the animal
The appeal should go up I think
For example I wanted to create this raptor maze
So they have their enclosure but their food is in the maze if I was able to.pull it off the appeal should be higher
How about Germany Park without carnivores
I beat it with the bigest sauropods, the highest rating flying reptile and all the marine reptiles.
Personally kronosaurs is the best for challenge mode
The best dinosaur will always be Tylosaurus.
Tnx
