Today we mod back 12 things Rockstar Games REMOVED in the GTA IV beta, cut content from military fighter jets, snow, weapons all the way to mountainous regions and rural beta map. Grand Theft Auto 4 cut content makes me sad, knowing these features were deleted from the game before release. The mods used in todays video are listed below:

The community is supposed to add things to the game and make it look as vanilla as possible without bugs or errors, which the game does unacceptable.
with all these cut weapons, jet, tank, extended map (Liberty Upstate) etc, the game would have been much more complete, a shame those were scrapped. well at least EFLC brought some new features like new weapons, parachute, gang wars, a small tank etc
Lib upstate was also in gta 3
You kinda got to get why Rockstar did that, GTA4 came out in 2008, 7 years after 9/11. Having planes in a city like liberty city would of been a chaotic lawsuit for them.

It was mostly hardware limitations and time constraints, so instead of having a big map, they settled more for a small detailed one. Like if you compare Gta V's map to Gta IV's you can see major differences, like for example V's map maybe bigger but its definitely way less detailed and has more mistakes like bad prop placements.
Snowy roads with GTA IV driving physics would be something AMAZING
It would be nightmarish and would take a while to master (speaking from mafia2 experience)

Y'know, given how the driving in GTA4 can be slippery at times. It makes me think it may have been intended to take place during winter.

@@getclapt462it makes sense because in snowy weather the roads are often icy which makes driving more slippery, I don’t know what about the original comment “doesn’t make sense”
It does take place in the winter time they just cut the snow weather
one thing I can say is that I absolutely love the physics

GTA IV is meant to have small amount of guns because they are not legal(Dimitri tells us that guns store are "underground places" and that there only few in whole city)
Not just that mayor of the city made a law to ban gun stores in general. Only for it to be repealed by chinatown wars
It seems more that this line was added to justify the small selection of guns, not the other way around

That 'P996 Lazer' in GTA 4 is litterally a F16 but with 2 tailfins. It's actually a shame that the P996 Lazer in GTA 5 looks different.
Not sure rockstar would wanna have beef with Lockheed Martin over the f-16, you know copy right/cease and desist notice on them, that’s why the laser looks like that and it looks good for a knockoff

We can’t have snow in a city that actually gets a lot of snow. But we can have gta 5 based in la where it doesn’t snow but it snows in the game. Makes a lot of sense rockstar
If i recall correctly, there's hidden underground facility on that countryside mod. I found one gate when driving a boat. I think it supposed to be silent hill facility

4:44 its not just the fact they weren’t added, its also the fact that the game was released 7 years after 9/11 happened, and i’m pretty sure the terrorism scare was still at its prime at the time. Which is why you can’t find the World Trade Center in the GTA 4’s downtown district.
I always found this weird why games based on New York afraid of showing planes flying around bruh Hundreds die everyday and no one remember but just this everyone remembers bruh
You can't find the WTC in it cause in the real NYC it was gone, and they wanted to make it realistic.

Maybe the reason driveable planes and tanks weren't added because its New York City, and you have to remember that the game takes place during the aftermath of 2001
Tanks in combination with the gta 4 car damage model is a great combo

That isn't a remaster duty, that would be a remake, and PS3 games would be the last one Rockstar would remake.
Maybe GTA 7 will be in Liberty state, when it comes out in 2040.

You can get the fingerless gloves from shooting all the seagulls around the map that’s not cut Content I’m just correcting you don’t take it bad I’m just helping so others can get it in the game.
Would be nice if you could link to all of the mods you used so we can restore the cut features back into out own game.
I have a feeling that at some point, they decided to replace the MP5 with the MP10 that we have now.
I will be waiting for the community to start making the rest of the missing map from the beta, just as happens with GTA 5 with Las Venturas and San Fierro

Snow and Liberty Upstate must have been Cool they could Have Launched it sooner when PS4 was released but till then GTA 5 released and GTA 4 was Phased out 😢

I would have loved the larger map (although that is not what upstate new york looks like, coming from living there my whole life). i still hope one day they remaster the game and add that.
That isn't what a remaster does.
Upstate NY would have been cool but can see why they never went ahead with it. At the scale of GTA's map, it seems a bit off. IRL, you could spend an entire day driving through upstate NY in a single direction and still have more upstate NY to go before you're out of the state. It would have been tough to officially replicate that feeling. Some of the most gorgeous places I've been in this country too, which is hard for some people to believe, considering I've seen almost all of it.
I don't think they planned on adding everything from upstate ny, but they probably wanted a map about double the size of the final with some key areas.

I would've loved to see snow being in the game. It gives off such a nice atmosphere but Rockstar always decides to never use it. In GTA SA snow exists but is restricted to LC. GTA V also has snow but only in North Yankton and during winter season in GTA Online
I hope that GTA 7 will include such Liberty City😅😅😅

I like how everyone wants that countryside but when V had it they hated it. GTA IV is all about realism, well when GTA V had a relaistic map they hated it
Because it was boring and contributed nothing. Up and down maps are not fun to play
Somebody can tell me I’m wrong but I was 99% positive when I was playing GTA back in my 2008 on my Xbox 360 is that if you went on the multiplayer during Christmas just like today it would be snowing maybe I’m wrong but I swear I drove around liberty city covered in snow
I wish there was the revolver as it would really fit the Russian mafia type genre in the game
Actually legally they cant use military force in the states without instilling Marshall law and the national gaurd would be hard pressed to get authorization for that type of force on us soil look and Granby Colorado for example

They were that was back when Rockstar planned on setting the game in Liberty State
The games files showed the planes he said and 2 additional planes
The Andromeda (Large Cargo plane) and the DODO (Small passenger plane)
If Rockstar would have left all this cut content gta 4 it would have been way better than gta 5.
Your cut contents missing the most important stuff.
They added a grainy filter to make the game look less advanced.
They downgraded motorcycle physics while airborne.
They removed the planned import and customize cars mechanics.
They changed the work of art ufc style melee system to a severely downgraded but still decent melee system.
They downgraded steering animations.
They removed the original commercial for gta online which had a guy in a black t shirt visiting bars and drinking with commentary on the game.
They removed traffic laws and heavily downgraded the wanted system.
They changed the limited weapon carrying system to the "magic pockets" system.
They changed the planned year from the 90s to the 2000s and the absolute only thing thats 2000s about the game is the cell phones. Definitely feels like its 1998 in gta 4.
Removed silenced pistol and stealth mechanics, which changed a few missions.
Suspension system was downgraded to being over reactive at slow speeds.
You wont find this information online either, you either know about it or you dont.
Gta4 was supposed to set the foundation for the next 3 gta games, but instead, they heavily ruined gta5 and society seems like its programmed to like that awful game.
Its only successful bc its one of extremely few games that use a guaranteed formulaic success method for online mmo action games, that formula is literally having a map that feels like players live in with purchasable properties, customization options and multiple game archetypes.
