FR I'm so tired of tanks throwing themselves in 1v3+ in small enclosed spaced across the map, die immediately and then mald because I didn't sentenced myself to be annihilated by following them in there lol
Or tanks no understanding that even being pocketed by both healers will not keep them alive against heavy damage from 3+ enemies at once.

Had this a few days ago. We were winning, I look away 1 second to heal one of our dps and our Tank goes “GG, no healing” in chat and starts throwing hard. Mind you he basically had a pocket healer all match. Like how braindead are these people???
Did you watch this video? The supports were mercy lucio; the mercy ADMITTED in the comments she was a bronze duo'ing with a gold widow; and if you pay attention she doesn't "pocket her dpses" she "HARD Pocketed that SINGLE dps she was duo'd with". Go back through this video; and you'll note she used res on ONLY ONE PERSON THE ENTIRE GAME, REPEATEDLY, and it was the same dps whom she said she was duo'd with. She left her tank to be healed by a L U C I O while pocketing a dps who couldnt hit shots on ANY character they played..?

The Mercy didn't hard pocket and the tank was rushing in as deep as possible in a straight line with 3/5 of their team dead. The support not following the tank into certain death is in fact not on the support. And yeah, there's better choices to be made than res'ing the widow most of the time, but that's their duo, gotta expect them for res priority. Grow a pair of eyes before telling someone else to, pal.

Howdy ho! I’m the mercy in this game and something I forgot to mention is that this was actually a wide match! Bronze 2 (me) to gold 3 (my widow) I believe. I play frequently with the widow and the Kiri so I did have some bias lol. The tank and other dps were also duo’ed. Also, since I submitted this I have climbed up to silver 1! Watching this back my second valk is UGH! So bad!! But I’ve been following emonggs advice and I think of his wise words every time I valk now! I also feel like I should mention they were mad at me for not playing directly on the payload. Also, in hindsight, I think I let my bias towards my trio get the best of me, and I was boosting widow a bit too much. But hey, you live and you learn!
Your movement tickled something in my brain, watching other mercy's with great movement and escaping methods is just so satisfying, you played really well

Your target swapping is a little too slow. I didn't hear was it console, but I'm assuming that's why it was clunky. If that helps you..I'm almost sure you can change sense for controller as well and if Mercy is your main, you'll benefit with faster sense on her (you can swap controls for specific hero in settings so it won't affect others if you like slower sense for better aim). And fly less. I know it sound crazy, because Mercy's ability to go whatever place you want is strongest part about her, but you also become an easy target in gold and above. You literally ask to get killed most of the match (playing covers unless you know that you're safe to go up, for scouting or possible kill). Another thing is...don't leave your team for widow that is safe across the map (can self heal with passive or use pack nearby while your team can lose fight since they're on OT because youre not there). And probably the best tip i can give you if you do comms. Mercy players see everything. Since you don't have to shoot and util often and can go above others you know enemy positioning. Your information about position of others can win you games.
You have good decent foundation to become good Merky. ^^ Just don't relay on a duo you're with because sooner or later you'll be on a same level or you will do much better than them ;) (plus there is the rest of the team).

This is my biggest pet peeve. You have 10 seconds, just try to touch with the soldier, don't just sit there and afk. You have nothing to lose by trying. I see so many people who just stop playing and emote when the clock gets down to 10-20 seconds and it drives me insane.

I was a tracer and sat just outside the point as my team respawned and we’re heading to point. While the enemy team was capturing it overtime, I Blinked in at the very last second and dodged the enemy team on point for like 10-15 seconds and used all my cool downs. I died and did practically nothing but my team was able to make it point and clutch up the 4v5. Never give up!

Some people I have played with, want their own pocket healer. A couple of days ago, I had a tank angry when I was stopped using the beam to heal them to revive or heal a teammate. I also had teammates getting angry for reviving someone else instead of them. I dont get why people get the impression healers have to specifically focus their healing exclusively on someone.
I get where you're coming from cause I'll play a lil support, but it gets pretty annoying when you're playing tank(fairly well, not feeding) and BOTH support decide to pocket each dps..
One support usually focuses tank+support, while other support focuses dps+support. Sometimes it’s okay to not even heal the tank, unless they are explicitly in front of you (depending on the tank. Ball etc.)

Having been at one point a 800SR support player.... I can tell you, tanks down there feel entitled to double pocket 100% of the game.
They never consider ways they could take less damage.
I finally climbed by doing LESS healing and more damage.
as someone at one point climbed from bronze to diamond then stopped playing the game for a bit and fell back down to gold and silver i can tell you, its most tanks plat and below the most toxic rank in OW for a long time imo is high silver

As a dedicated mercy main, no way on earth they should be in bronze, the movement?? Bronze?? Nah, their mercy is clean as hell, especially for that rank, you knew good rez spots (that one infront of the reaper was wonderful, it feels great when they cant stop your rez), the positioning and playing with cover, also the checking up behind youreself when in risky places and the pretty quick thinking when getting shot at to fly to your team/kiri, thats no bronze

its reallyreally rough to climb out of bronze and silver as a mercy solo user. you are reliant on very low level players to make plays and execute easy punishes. they simply dont. Mercy can get offensive in valk but other than that it can be rough in these games.

This has been my experience as a Support Main. Watching too many people choosing the UwU gamer girl Dva thinking she is a front line tank... Even when I explain to them that they should be taking high ground and harassing enemies that are alone.

I think Mercy played really good, but most of widow headshots prob didn't even need to dmg boost. And I'm not an expert, but I would try to not look too much the target I'm already healing/boosting, unless their are in immediate danger. You can get better "decision making" if you actively gather info from enemies positions and CDs looking at them while your beam auto-aims your pocket.
Her movement was pretty nice imo, prob play more near covers and not fly too much if not needed, but that happens to me all the time when I'm just not focusing 100% on that.
I'm not going to judge the ending there because it's clear everyone was super tilted at that point, but overall the tank was too aggro. Yeah, mercy was not perfect either, but who is? I think that's the point that tank probably didn't understand. Everyone was trying to win, everyone made misplays. Shit happens, just don't blame your teammates or throw your games.

Like the tank was too aggro, I agree on that, but I think a couple times you just kinda left them to die, like that could be preferred play, but from a tank perspective(like after 1st point), you were all in spawn and they probably assumed y’all left as a team, instead you stood there boosting widow in spawn. With no comms, I’d be frustrated too if I saw that.
Agreed a little bit. But as a tank/support player. I always try to be knowledgeable on what my team is dealing with. So with my backline being attacked, I know I'll get less heals and so I will fall back to help my team. The Dva never did that. Always stayed up front and even charged in several times, even while at 20% hp.
You can't complain about your team not being there when they're busy with an attacker behind.
@ that’s why I said, ‘with no comms’. I’ve been part of the problem too from time to time, where I would have my team with me and I would go in assuming my team is with me only to explode and I see on cam while I’m waiting to respawn that my supports either didn’t move or randomly go the other direction with no comms. Sometimes it’s a sombra, sometimes it’s a plastic bag in the wind, I really don’t be knowing. I even go back in replays and have seen my team randomly go in opposite directions without warning or even enemy gunfire or even a ping, just for them to type, “tank what are you doing?”. Like I’m in the front guys, I can’t keep turning around every 5 seconds while taking fire.

As a T500 diamond mercy their movement is so clean I feel they could’ve moved with tank a little more or kept a little closer but obviously it’ll be harder to get out of situations in that rank when the rest of the team is so far behind. If the dps had pushed with tank she would’ve had a way to get out but tank seems kinda unaware. I don’t think it’s on Mercy overall at all I think she’ll climb super quick :))
I also think they superjumped a little too much, like they wanted to stay in the sky too much, and that for me just opens you up to more damage being taken. Being on the ground is okay- I don’t think you need to be in the air all the time as a mercy

Tho I agree that the tank was being too aggressive. PERSONALLY, I think that more could've been done in 2nd point attack? The enemy team were on genji and pharah and Lucio. That area supports a lot of mercy movements so I think the mercy could even try to be with the sigma. I had games where a sigma survives a long time and they could probs have hold or pushed that spot more.
And maybe cause the widow is their group but I think the solider should be pocketed more. Because of that the mercy could easily supp the tank if needed, be with the team more should I say. Than be in the far back with widow that can one shot on her owwn

I’d argue one reason mercy is hated by players:ganks is the fact that her beam actually shows when you’re being healed. If you’re not paying attention you won’t even notice the beam (especially at that rank) or the inverse, seeing the beam connected to you, but she’s actually ALREADY ACROSS THE MAP while you think you have a pocket.
Just because someone makes a mistake it doesn't mean you shouldn't still at least try to help them
i had a game once where our tank was playing rein, and he kept charging in face first and dieing. To accomodate his playstyle, i switched to juno. whenever he would charge in, i would give him a speed boost so he could either pull back fast, or run after the enemy actually having a chance of catching up with them. He never pulled back, but he absolutely destroyed the enemy, and we won the game.
It gets pretty weird.. I'll play pharrah a lot, and my mercys will HARD pocket the tank, then I'll play tank and for some reason will get the more competent mercys that ONLY pocket the dps. Can't win...
And the enemy dps always gets the Mercy who understands they're supposed to pocket the dps. After years playing pocket Mercy myself, I think I deserve a good pocket when I play dps, no?
@commentbot9510 I used to HARD main mercy in OW1and the beginning of OW2, and it's pretty clear that you'll win more if you help the dps more.

@Lilian040210 at least in metal ranks you can carry on most tanks (even more easily if you have healbot supports), also hitscan dps heroes, and even moira. this is just based on what i've seen tho. i've been against teams that only have one great player, and they win because of that person

It wasn't until the rank reset that my MMR wasn't too terrible that winning actually gained me sr and if I played mercy there I 100% wouldn't have gotten my acc out of bronze and into diamond

This was definitely on the tank like 9 out of 10 times. The only thing i can say is i saw moments that seemed more like they were focusing their dps stack rather then the other dps when they could've saved or helped them. but like. on 1 hand the widow was hitting shots, but on the other hand that can change VERY FAST with widow. It's hard to say really but like. this was fine.
When people throw because of the healing it makes no sense 😂 like just take less dmg or play a hero that can heal themselves. Every role has a character that can self heal

Did you say this is Bronze? The Mercy has great movement for a Bronze player. But I think the whole 12:30 sequence was bad. I don't understand why Mercy couldn't help more on the front line by healing from the building, enemy walkway, or just being a flying nuisance. It might give the tank more room to breathe by pulling fire, maybe get the enemy DPS to look away from the spawn doors. But that's just one fight. For the far majority, it was on the tank.

I had a game very similar to this where the tank kept feeding. Halfway through the match he started trash talking everyone but himself and in the last minute had started a fight with my other support. Well he couldnt handle the truth and sat in spawn trash talking while we somehow managed to push them off the point and barely win it. This wasnt even ranked, if he couldnt handle QP i cant imagine trying to play ranked with him. Its honestely shocking that we didnt throw that game with how tilted we all were.

This person definitely doesn’t belong in bronze. Their movement is good, realizing as mercy they should probably stick with their dps more is pretty solid. As someone who can play almost the entire support roster to a serviceable degree, I personally would have swapped off mercy myself when I realized my tank was this bad at staying alive though (not saying you have to, but mercy doesn’t have the most impact). My widow has to be doing a lot more than that to offset essentially not having a tank, and no I’m not blaming the widow. There were things you and your teammates could have improved, sure, but this one was absolutely on your tank.
As if summoning something by watching this video, I got a tank who REFUSED to help with an INSANE reaper constantly on the backlines (Our reaper was trying his damned best to get him, and our sombra was otherwise engaged) and proceeded to complain he wasn't getting heals (I WONDER WHY??) The other support and I tried our hardest, but alas, we were no match-
unfortunately sometimes your ego as a tank gets into the way of winning, when you see the enemy tank able to effortlessly do stuff because he's being double pocketed, you feel like they are doing better then you, when that's not necessarily the case. you just gotta accept the enemy tank will be more free then you and play to your strengths. which in this case, is your pocketed dps, so your job is to survive with less resources, so your team can pop off.
this is kind of why i used to like 5v5 but im starting to miss 6v6, i feel like the entire concept of a "Raid boss tank" isn't even a guarenteed thing unless your supports commit to that. so theres a chance your STILL going to be a weak tank. tank has too many factors at the moment, entire playstyle changes based on if supports decide to pocket you or not. but i digress.
this mercy wasn't the problem. she was doing her job. even if it wasn't perfect.
Few tips.
If your tank is complaining about heals try not to respond to them. No matter what kind of response you give, you're just feeding into the toxicity. Especially if you argue that they are the problem.
In fact try not to respond to toxicity in general. It can be frustrating having teammates that decide to throw your games because they woke up on the wrong side of the bed, but you are just decreasing your odds at having any kind of chance of salvaging that game by responding to the toxicity. At the very minimum it'll distract you and your teammates from the game and make you play worse, even if just by a small amount. Mute the toxic people and focus on the game.
Damage boost/heal the person who is doing the most. I saw plenty of times where widow was sitting very passively in the back with not much of an angle, where damage boosting the soldier or maybe even the tank would've been much better. For example, that third point where you were being spawn camped. Widow's angle there is literally ass, and soldier is actually going in and trying to do something. I doesn't matter if the widowmaker is your duo if they are just not getting the value.
Of course to fully utilize this correctly requires some awareness of who is actually getting the most value, but there are some situations where it's pretty obvious who is actually doing more.
I think the problem was widow she kept going back to heal her when she could have just used the healing passive since she was so far back.

First of all, the player did not look like a bronze mercy. Nevertheless Emongg was a little too soft on the Mercy. The dmg boosting of widow did not give enough value. And if ur dmg boost does not get value, u shouldn't play mercy at all.
Also if u are a 3-stack, why not adapting to the one player not listening. This would increase ur chances to win. One player running it down is feeding, a team doing it is a strategy.
Also I wonder if they often play this mercy - widow - combo. Maybe this is the reason they are not climbing.
yep this 100%. 5 people locking in as a team and committing to a bad play one of them initiated has an infinitely higher winrate than 4 people sitting in spawn going "look what that moron is up to again"

The one who submitted this vod clip commented and said kinda the same thing, the widow was in their stack so they were focusing them rather than the tank/dps duo, though I do hope they understand Widow might be one of the worst heroes to pocket as Mercy due to the effectively 0% increase it gives in ability to kill things.
Widow gets to 100% quicker under damage boost. But yeah this mercy was a bit passive at times
In bronze mercy’s only heal the tank, so that’s why. I’ve had tanks flaming me for not pocketing them. Luckily, I finally climbed out of that hell hole

I hate to say it, but considering this is a bronze game, in most cases, healbotting your tank is the best way to climb since the enemy team is going to instictively fight them before they fight the rest of your team. It's not best to throw your life away when your tank is running it down mid every fight, but there will be many cases in this rank where power healing your tank will be more beneficial to your game as a whole rather than pocketing the rest of your team that is also running it down mid. That being said, things do change when your pocket is a Widow that IS landing most of their shots. Regardless, from what i have learned about this game as a whole, healbotting your tank usually leads to a higher win rate in bronze.
Do i think that may have been the case in this game, however? I would say no. This tank player was waaaayy too aggressive and kept forcing 1v4s and 1v5s the whole game. If you're a mercy player facing this scenario in your games, unless you switch to a support that can bail the tank out of their bad decision making (like Lifeweaver or Baptiste) then you just need to accept the game as it is and play the best you can, and go next.
Youll be surprised how often this happens from bronze to masters.
i would never do what the dva did even if i was feeling the same way and even if i was in the right when you throw your wasting your own time, i chose to play OW in my free time i sat in q waiting and not playing im not going to waste my time not playing the game to prove a point, i may not be as focused playing that match but i loaded up to play the game so im gonna play the game

Ive run into so many of these once for nearly every single day i play ow, doesn’t matter if its qp arcade or comp someone will always get mad they aren’t getting healed, hell ill have my own support get mad at me when im fighting for my life in the backline lol. ive had tanks walk in 1v5 expecting to win with zero cover and no support and get so mad they throw a hissy fit in spawn. Ive had dps that get mad they aren’t getting pocketed when they are literally 1-8
I feel like tanks get really bad habits reinforced in low ranks. Because I think tanks get farmed by everyone in the game for stats so they get used to getting double pocketed and never feel the need to reduce the damage they’re taking to free up team resources. This guy was honestly beyond even that though. He was literally just respawning and flying in by himself on repeat after first point on defense.
hey emongg, im a mercy player aswell, and i struggle with Valks, how do you know when its a good time to use your valk?
It's good to use when trying to secure/capture point, or when everyone is low and you can't keep up with heals, or if someone on the enemy team is ulting. one thing I really love doing is when the enemy team is about to secure/capture the point and no one on my team can contest, I'll pop valk and hover around to give my teammates time to contest too, valk is REALLY useful for doing that
I main lucio. I dont dps lucio 100% of the time but when i notice a sniper or someone alone i will dive if my team has good positioning. Had a game on new queen street where i had shut down enemy ashe that kept going for wide flanks solo, and made her swap after going 0-4. We had lead. We ended up losing a couple team fights and then my ram starts complaining about heals. So i start playing with the team more. The confusion on my face when he decides its a good idea to stand in the middle of the street blocking in nemesis form, after both our dps died on flanks of their own, instead of getting out when i boosted speed. Then he and the ana, that i assume was his duo both go off about how i should have been on heals. Because clearly, amping heals in the open 3v5 is the play instead of reseting for next team fight.
I had a mercy in my Gold 1 game a few months ago that didn't even know how to use the jump or glide abilities. Like... constantly on the ground mercy....NEVER in the air. Would use shift but wouldn't crouch or space to go up or faster or anything....safe to say I was not happy....
My Valk mindset is : Do I have Valk? Yes? Do I have at least 3 teammates? Yes. Hit q.

The problem with Mercy in low elo is if you're damage boosting any dos who don't need it or arent making any significant plays you're wasting your damage boost. You could almost just as easily damage boost the tank and get better results.
Stop pocketing dps who arent doing anything because at that point its better to play Moira, Kiri, Ana, Juno, Lucio, literally anyone who isn't mercy.
Honestly this mercy should be high silver - goldish. Movement is good but that doesnt make a good mercy player. It comes down to decision making and awareness. Valks are a bit off like you said. But I see issues with who they are dmg boosting. Playing too far in the back. Its hard to play aggreesive or even PROPERLY in ranks below gold so i understand. Still a decent mercy that does not deserve bronze tho.

I had a tank like this yesterday im gold 1, my buddy plat 4 we were both on support and our rein literally kept charging in 1 V 5 and dying right out of spawn funny thing is me and my buddy both had 13K heals to the enemy teams 9K and 8k and our tank kept spamming "Mercy" since i was Moira and my buddy was Juno. We still won mainly because we just murdered the other team and made good play (DPS was feeding alot too and flaming heals so we ended up being dps when they died.) Honestly, it comes down to alot of people who are bad at something usually stay bad at it because they refuses to recognize their lack of skill and learn from their mistakes.

As a silver hardstuck player I am clearly missing something. Example: 6:12 he says that dva overaggressed when shes on the payload.. confusion. The team is way back by spawn and not on point which is around a damn corner! How on earth is this ONLY dva's fault? Shes playing objective while her teammates are being scaredy cats and not pushing up. She "made space" as he always says in these videos but unfortunately, they chose widow and are heal botting her instead of flying up and helping soldier and kiri push forward half the game, which imo would be more impactful. This game would have gone easier if their dps just swapped off widow, it clearly doesnt gel with this tanks playstyle, right? Am i actually crazy for this thought process? Why is it always the tanks fault for.. playing the objective?
What’s important here is that the payload/objective isn’t always where the fight is happening. On this map regardless of where the payload is the fight is going to happen at that first corner for control of the gas station roof. (This is part of why you often hear emongg say things like “you don’t see people hold here in gm” in alot of vods).
How this relates to the diva feeding is before she goes in and dies her team had made no progress in the fight: No forced cooldowns no picks, no ult usage. Just based on this alone there’s no reason to boosters in, but the reason that what she did was a feed and not just taking/making space is where she boosted to. Instead of going to the roof to contest anyone and allow the rest of the team to safely swing the corner she stayed low ground, went cart, blocked los with the billboard and died.
Against the comp they’re running diva can’t commit to a brawl or she will die. It’s better to exploit the low healing backline and grind them down over a longer fight by taking map control specifically the gas station roof here.
TLDR: it was an out of position feed because she went cart to commit to a brawl ( losing matchup ) instead of taking away map control on the high ground and worrying about cart after her team comes around the corner

The dva is out of position only because you're supposed to be aware of where your team is on tank so that you don't over extend (which is what happened). However this Mercy misplayed even more than the dva in my opinion. There is no reason why she should be hard locked on the widow. There are better pocket choices not only based on hero but position as well. You always want to be supporting the player being aggressive and dealing damage. In this case it is most likely going to be solider or dva. Yet this Mercy thinks its a good idea to pocket the widow who can already one-two shot regardless of damage boost and doesn't even have a great angle. So the only benefit this widow is receiving is being harder to dive and a faster charge time on her scoped shots (which widow clearly doesn't even use/need). Emongg is just hyper-focused on blaming the tank and praising the mercy because the tank blamed the mercy even though its bronze so the tank can 1v5 if they're a decent player. But it is kind of annoying because the tank is right to be mad at this Mercy even though its still his own fault for getting rolled because this mercy is genuinely doing nothing.
@@commentbot9510 Emongg also looks at it with the knowledge of a top tier tank player. He's saying what HE would do differently to properly get the support that's needed and assessing the choices vs the opposing team comp. If I'm on tank and it feels like my Mercy player is nowhere near me, I'm not diving in more, I'm adjusting my pick/playstyle to put myself in a better spot. Switching to a tank that WANTS to dive in more when you're already having issues with your Mercy being close enough to help you on Sigma is a very weird choice, and it's even weirder when the enemy comp thrives on brawling. This is much more on the tank than being on the Mercy player not doing enough to help, even though the Mercy pocketed the Widow too much on attack.
Yes the Mercy should have been in a better position to help the team on attack, no it would not have changed the outcome of this game because of how the tank swapped and was playing into the enemy comp. It felt like the tank was going into the enemy team all the time, and you can't fix that unless you're playing Lifeweaver to actively pull them back. The other team also recognized that the tank was hard feeding and adjusted accordingly for the attack, by going into a team comp that can melt them down even faster.
@ the mercy getting 0 value is definitely more of a detriment to the team than the tank playing a dive hero. They aren’t making the most optimal play and adapting to their team, but the only reason he would have to do that is because the Mercy is bad. Even if he stayed sigma and played more passive, this Mercy cutting the team’s support in half is a limitation that will lose them the game. Ofc anyone in this rank could solo the enemy if they were good enough, but expecting someone who isn’t smurfing to do that isn’t fair. The same thing could also be said about the Mercy. She sees her tank dying and doesn’t adapt at all. Healbotting a feeding tank doesn’t always work, but sometimes your healing can be just enough to keep them up. It’s worth an attempt at least. She doesn’t change who she pockets at all.
@@commentbot9510 The tank kept going all in. They literally kept going all in. Even on defense when the Mercy was playing more with the team, THE TANK KEPT GOING ALL IN ALONE. On top of that, THEY MADE AN ACTIVELY BAD SWAP TWICE. That is why Emongg is putting it more on the tank than the Mercy player overall. You can't fix that kind of actively bad tank gameplay on Mercy, it takes the Mercy putting HERSELF in a terrible position to try to keep the tank up, and it usually results in getting merced.
I've been there and done that on support before stopping playing OW a few months into OW2. I barely had to deal with Ram and didn't have to deal with Mauga and that kind of tank gameplay was still unsalvageable. I've also been the tank who expected more support, and I didn't adjust in a way THAT CUT ME OFF MORE FROM THEM. Both players are at fault for the loss, but it's more like 45 Mercy/55 Tank on attack and 20 Mercy/80 Tank on defense.
Ive played with AR3 before and i said the same thing, they are to agro and push way to hard. Take to much damage and there no outhealing it
I think some tanks blame their supports for not going in with them becaue they dint realize that the higher you go some olays wont work, or a bad play that got you through before wont get you through now becaus you in an elo where people have better awareness and game sense so they can deal with you accordingly whereas before, you could get away with it. Furthermore, your teammates know that what youre doing is wrong and arent gonna commit to your wrong play because then they all die. Im sure this d.va fully expected their mercy and kiri to pocket them whenever they went all in in horrible situations.

Then came into chat talking crap saying "can support stop throwing and actually heal" I was like... Brother stop going out like you're a one man army. Then get got mad and went afk.. In rank. He was like "fine then y'all carry me since you think you can win without a tank", yeah... We won't without a tank. So delusional.

While I can figure out what I need to change most of the time. There are games where I have NO idea what I was doing wrong until I watch the replay. I suspect the Dva isn't going to watch any replays of themself and just bitch about the supports. That's why they will remain in bronze\silver forever.

This is one of these analyses I just don't agree with. I play support and tank and keeping the tank alive is top priority imo. The tank dies the entire team fight is practically over. In this Mercy view, healing the tank was low on her priority list. The tank was feeding at the last part of the game because he got frustrated, I know what it's like. It's hard to push when the team just stays at the back and the supports don't have your back.
If you watch any GM player you'll see how aggressive they play and the supports have their backs.
It's kind of cheeky to complain about your supports not healing as a tank when the enemy is running lucio mercy...
This mercys movement is too good for bronze (maybe i underestimate bronze) but yea decision making isnt the best
Specially given that tank is most likely silver you need to understand that not healing them ALOT is basically throwing theyre in silver for a reason they dont know what cover is basically so you have to accomodate till you get out of silver you cant expect them to change if you want to rank up just adapt and hope you dont get such trolls again
When a tank keep feeding like this tank does, just ignore them and support your dps and enable them instead because tanks like this wouldn't understand anything about this game even if you spoon fed them with the tiniest of spoons..
I think... movement and awareness at the very least she's very good for bronze. I don't think it was on her at all. Played well overall. Tank overextended too much and was awful on DVA and knowing who to target/look for out of position players etc. Overall I'm impressed (usually not). The ult coming 2 seconds too late around 13th minute frustrated me lmao... when I have ult , i ult. you will get it back in 30 seconds.
I play support, and I can say with certainty, there were many times in this video where she could have saved the tank but she was too far in the back pocketing her friend.
I like mercy's plays here. Yes, your tank was atrocious. Only criticism I would have is maybe be more open to changing to a different support? Idk I just feel like an Ana, or someone else would have been more useful in the match besides Mercy with all the different utility. That way you can fight back more or help lock down a kill so instead of the beaming. Would have been a huge counter to the mauga pick they ended up resorting to.

Someone got mad at me yesterday. They were on orisa and I was on LW and I pulled them out of an enemy kitsune rush and they got mad. It's like 2v5 with a kitsune rush, look for cover.
Just from the description at the start, they're trio qued and didnt wanna help the possible solo q because their mate was "doing a good job" XD Nicely worded
Edit. Tank did get mad but she was spending too much in the backline with the Widow who was always super far away so takes you a while to get near the rest of the team once you win the fight. during fights was fine since everyone was packed together

99.999% of the time when people say "support diff" or "my supports aren't healing" it has nothing to do with the support and everything to do with whoever is complaining, bad positioning does NOT get fixed by a support player, support players are more important and going into bad positioning just to attempt to save someone is NOT worth the trouble it is.
