Evan Williams is SO underated, everyone judges by the price. They have great whiskeys, and your blind taste test showed that. But even better is their white label BIB, their single barrel, their 1783. They are all good! Forget snobbery....choose for taste.
I find that the most fair tasting would come from both freshly opened bottles. A bottle that contains mostly air, the character is different. As with wine, if two or three fingers remain in the atmosphere of air in the bottle, the alcohol is partially escaped from the whiskey! Also, alcohol leaves the bottle when you open it. poof. So, fair test= both fresh new bottles. Another test= leave each contender in the glass for ten or twenty minutes. It will be different, as with wine. Cheers!
Evan Williams was my standard Bourbon, and I'm honestly thinking about getting it again. Have you guys ever done Old Grand Dad? Or Bacardi 151? Cheers!
Always look forward to your videos this was a great head to head, I'm a big Evan Williams fan so I'm happy it won. Could you guys do a W.L. Weller special reserve bourbon whiskey review soon!?!
I would like to see a head to head between Pappy Van Winkle 23 year v Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year. haha. But seriously how about Bushmills/Jamesons/Paddys/tullmore dew
I have aged both of them in white oak barrels for 38 days and it mellowed them out quite a bit but probably coincide with you guys with the Evan Williams. I'm going to age me another 2 liter barrel of that this weekend. Thanks guys!
Evan Williams is the best cheap bourbon. It's easy to abuse the sweet mellow flavor when mixing with A&W root beer. Beam is great with Dr. Pepper or, with a regional mixer from New England, Moxie.
Evan is my house whiskey. Can't beat the price for the amount you get and tastes as good if not better than the competition. I do like Jim Beam's flavored collection. Maybe I'm trippin or just drunk but didn't you guys have a big bottle where ya'll were just mixing a bunch of liquor in it?
@@kybrewreview I don't see Evan Williams Apple on the channel. Only regular bourbon, peach, and cherry. I highly recommend the apple - especially for the price. It's solid stuff for $12, nothing offensive, and leaves the perfect burn at the end.
It takes like an hour to do one easy video. I work a full-time job and we upload at least 4 videos a week so it's very Time consuming. Not mention the time we spend shooting.
I’ve never liked Evan Williams, too me it has a bad taste, I might be drinking the wrong kind thou… I think the kind I’ve tried is a sour mash Evan, I didn’t like it, I don’t even know if they carry a straight bourbon where I live for it, I’ve always been a Jim Beam fan ever since I drank sour mash Jack an reg Jim, I’ll have to see if I can find bourbon Evan and see if it’s any better, I’ll edit this comment when I do
I give you a like! because of the AIC shirt.
A +

I agree, thats why we do head to heads, and why we go into all of our reviews without doing any research.
+Bridon Just curious, why do you prefer the EW white label over the black label?
I like black label. But only because I rarely get white.
black label is a bit more sweet with a vanilla flavor... and BiB is more woody... i love em both

Evan has been my go to since I started drinking Bourbon. In my opinion, you can't go wrong for the price!
A head to head between Buffalo Trace and Makers Mark would be pretty good
we currently have both so it may happen!
Searched this a week ago on your channel, was a week too early!!
For me the slight edge goes to EW. More proof less cost and a little more spicy oak to it which I like but nothing wrong with Jim either.
Evan Williams was my standard Bourbon, and I'm honestly thinking about getting it again. Have you guys ever done Old Grand Dad? Or Bacardi 151? Cheers!
We have done a review and challenge for 151
@@kybrewreview oh, yeah, the infamous 151 chug, how could I forget? Haha. I hope Steel will recover some day from the horrors. May he stay strong!

that's good stuff! hopefully we can get to it sometime!
How about a head to head with Evan Williams and Benchmark? Call it “The Battle of the Bottom Shelf Budget Bourbons!” *explosions*
Evan Williams all the way. Black label is my favorite whiskey mix (zero Pepsi)
Evan Williams is the best kept secret in bourbon
Agree. Shhhhh. Dont tell anyone. The price will go up.
That's no joke! Evan Williams bottled in bond is my go to bourbon
"I just did a line of aroma" just drink the shit
Nothing says blue collar quite like plastic glasses and duct tape.
Just a few cool guys, in a basement, sniffin bourbon.
Garage lol
Benchmark vs Evan Williams Green label for a head to head would be interesting thanks for your courage!
George dickel vs jack Daniels
I would like to see a head to head between Pappy Van Winkle 23 year v Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year. haha. But seriously how about Bushmills/Jamesons/Paddys/tullmore dew
More head to heads very good episodes. Don’t matter what you guys do just something ha
Austin V yea do it with ice cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🚵🏻♂️🚵🏻♂️🚵🏻♂️🚵🏻♂️🚵🏻♂️🚵🏻♂️🎻🎻

If i have the money i buy buffalo trace most the time i buy evan williams lol
Beam white vs beam bottled in bond. ... beam white surprisingly has more flavor. But the price is alike. here. Cheers
I cant find your review for jim beam white label...tried searching too cant find
Just checked, TH-cam deleted it.

Can't beat the price for sure.
Exactly right. The EW fades under Coke and other mixers. The EW is better than the Beam, but not for bourbon and coke.
Beam is great with Dr pepper.
Wow ! Now I'll try em like that thank you !
Try mixing it with zero Pepsi, it's not as sweet of a cola which allows the whiskey flavor of EW black label to come through.
I think an interesting head to head would be Svedka vs. New Amsterdam vodka. I know which one I usually buy, but it'd be cool to see them done blind.

yes and we forgot about it lol.
@@kybrewreview Shame! I was looking forward to that.
It will still get used at some point.
Have you guys checked out Evan Williams Apple or Honey? Both run around $12 for a fifth.
We have done evan apple I believe.

"More time to edit"??? It's like 1 cut.

Congrats on doing blinded tests. If you know what you are tasting confirmation bias comes into play - hence all the preconceived reviews on, say, JWB
Y’all should do tullamore dew but idk if y’all can get it where y’all are it’s also quite expensive
we can get it around us, but its out of our price range right now.
Special K I understand I only buy it when I can afford it my self
You guys may not like it, but would you mind doing a review on mountain beach beer. It’s my go to
im not sure if its available around us.
Your stmt, "cant go wrong with either" is a misstatement. Beam is terrible. EW is a decent budget bourbon.
Nice video gents almost to 7k subs whoo!!😎😎
It’s pronounced Evan WEEEYMZ. Williams should be one syllable, “WEEMZ”
I wanted Evan Williams to win for one reason it’s cheaper so I can spend less on a better product lol
Want cheaper and better? Benchmark is better than both and is 10 bucks a fifth
I’ve never liked Evan Williams, too me it has a bad taste, I might be drinking the wrong kind thou… I think the kind I’ve tried is a sour mash Evan, I didn’t like it, I don’t even know if they carry a straight bourbon where I live for it, I’ve always been a Jim Beam fan ever since I drank sour mash Jack an reg Jim, I’ll have to see if I can find bourbon Evan and see if it’s any better, I’ll edit this comment when I do
Evan White label bottled in bond is excellent 100 proof
Evan Williams all the way. Black label is my favorite whiskey mix (zero Pepsi)
we use pepsi zero and coke zero a lot for our mixer in bourbon reviews.
