I found your channel one week before my thermodynamics exam and I understood nothing about it before. But I passed the exam because of your lecture videos.Thank you for your videos and you are one of the best tutor.
Thanks a lot for this lesson! I was confused about these diagrams for a while and the textbook didn't really do a good job at explaining them. You explained it so well and it all made sense!
Thank you so much! :D currently watching all your videos before my final exam. Really needed to understand these concepts!! -Electrical and Computer Engineering student form Trinidad
You are miles better than my thermo prof. These videos are amazing thank you very much ! Sincerely, a mechatronics engineering student with a visa tomorrow from turkey
Your videos are amazing, thank you so much! I just wanted to add that when water is boiled you immediately only see the water vapor and not steam, steam is invisible to the eye. Cheers!
Yes, in fact if u put ice in space it will immediately vaporise as the pressure is practically 0, All the boiling/melting temperatures of pure substances you are used to seeing are that way because of our atmospheric pressure (101,325 pascals) If you were to introduce them into an environment/system with a different pressure the boiling/melting points will be affected

I’m still a little confused on the relationship of pressure and temperature in boiling liquid, are both variables able to cause water to boil?
Yes, in fact if u put ice in space it will immediately vaporise as the pressure is practically 0,

Different units to measure pressure. One unit is Pascal, another is atm. Another example is bar.
