  • Hey guys this week I tackle two different DIYS! I did a few more Ikea flips/ hack whatever ya wanna call it.
The first DIY I did was take the IKEA Lack table
    www.ikea.com/u...
And do the DIY tile table I've seen all over the internet. Of course I did my version of the tile table. I made it distressed to look like some old pots I found in my back yard. The process of making the tile table was pretty straight forward. Grouting the tile table was a bit messy but all in all I love the way this turned out. If you aren't going for a distressed tile table I recommend using a priming adhesive. But since I was going for a distressed tile table I didn't using a primer, but I did use a top coat. Then when I grouted some of the paint came up to give it a distressed looks. Which was perfect and I love the way my version of the tile table turned out.
Next up we have the Ikea mirror hack. and OMG this project was such a pain. I'm soooo glad I did this project but in the moment it did not seem worth it. So to achieve the Ikea mirror hack I used 5 Packs of the Lots mirrors.
    www.ikea.com/u...
And I had a ply wood piece cut to the length I needed but not the width, I did that myself. With this Ikea mirror hack came a lot of difficulties. I made so many mistakes so here they are.
Mistake 1: Putting all the trim on first.
Mistake 2: Not measure both sides of the mirror to make sure its perfectly square
Mistake 3: Not leaving enough room to pop the mirrors in after painting
Okay I could go on and on about the mistakes I made but I think you get the point. There were a lot and all week I kept wondering if this DIY was worth it. Now that it is down and I did some research on how much a mirror like this would cost. This DIY is definitely worth it. Although my Ikea mirror hack version isn't perfect I'm super proud of pushing by all the mistakes to get what I have now. It was a big learning project and I'm sooooo glad I did the Ikea mirror hack.
    Mirror Build Supplies
8x4 feet ply wood. I had the guys at Lowes cut it down to 76 inches. I cut it down to 38 inches a bit too small
    1/2 wide dowels x 10
3 pieces of 1.25 inch wide trim.
    Navy blue paint
    Wood filler

You nailed the terracotta look! So cool. I actually thought you used terracotta tiles and not just orange paint.

Not much I remember I had way too much. You can just get a the smallest thing of grout for this project.

It was valspar signature paint. I use that for almost every project and the color was fiesta
