    I really needed this video because I was unsure of what would make my budgies uncomfortable as well as how this is the first time my house has had any pets, so thank you.

    i do one of these, i get frustrated with my tiel sometimes but i never scream at her, though when im frustrated with her she knows, and i feel so bad. but what i love about her is that sometimes i feel like she knows im sorry and just sits calmly one my arm asking for scritches, looks as if she is forgiving me. i love you chico!

    Birds are super sensitive there not like dogs or cats where you can scold them for biting the furniture. Yet I would still not recommend doing it to all pets . Birds are very unique creatures where they have a lot more mood swings every one and a while! Great video I always find some sort of interest in them!

    Great advice. I learned a lot of this the hard way, so I can really appreciate this video. We have had our budgie for 12 years and she is has always been very nervous and jumpy, and I am quite aware of some of the things that I did (with good intentions) that were probably root causes. She still comes to me for protection when she is scared of something, but I'll always feel bad about contributing to her anxiety.

    • @J_Alrighty
      @J_Alrighty 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      She plays with me, chases me, preens me and would prefer to always be on my shoulder. But she has fears about hands, sounds, and other things that you wouldnt expect her to be afraid of.

    Honestly the punishment one depends. My quakers have benefitted from being held and talked to in a stern voice. It certainly does instill a little fear but doing this immediately after undesired behaviors completely gets rid of them. My Quaker’s are the sweetest little guys now, happy as ever. And no obviously don’t hurt your bird, just hold and talk to in a stern voice. My Quaker’s kept biting each other and getting in little fights; this type of discipline helped them to stop and they are awesome now!

    I'm not sure but I have a Female Budgie, She's a mother of 6 birds, She had now laid a few eggs and 4 or 5 had just hatched. A few days ago she started chirping, she had never chirped before and her chrip sounds as if and old bird is coughing. It's really loud and my dad is getting worried, not sure if she's sick or not. I had just finished watching a video of yours, It was about "Budgie chirping meaning" and none of them really matched her tone, I really kept an eye of the happy chirp noises, but im not sure if its that. PLEASE HELP ME, I need to know whats going on with her, Hopefully you can help me.

    When your bird/birds aren't tame, but you need to take them to the vet etc, how would you recommend handling the situation? I always wear the same pair of black gloves, when I have to grab one of my birds, so that they know I won't grab them if my hands are bare. They obviously don't understand that it's necessary to go to the vet, and that I'm trying to help them. How can I make it less scary for them, when I have to grab them?

      Turn off the lights or do somthing else to make your room darker so yous bird wont see anything and when you touch it its thinks its a leaf touching it while its sleeping on a tree and it wont be stressed and scared 🙃

      You must have some kind of travel cage, I have a Pack-o-Bird. You need to make the travel cage enticing for your bird to go into. Grabbing your bird is not a good idea. My Rainbow Lorikeet will happily go in when I make noise with a paper bag, he loves the sound. Also making the actual trip pleasant will make your bird want to have an outing.

    once you are my favorite youtuber for birds i wanted to say a problem that my bird has
    (*shes's girl and young)
    Today we diceded to let their cage with them outside in our balcony so they can rest for a litlle
    after a while my mum wanted to throw away(in the bag with the other trash) something but
    suddenly when she opened the door she saw a really big bird i front of our bird's cage trying to eat
    their food, fortunately the big bird got scared and fly away. When i was checking them but the girl had a litlle
    a spot of blood on her jaw and i told my mom and dad and they said its nothing, but when she opended her
    mouth, she had so much blood i her mouth that i stared crying really hard cause i was so freaking scared
    and then her own blood started to coming out of her mouth and me and my brother we're crying so hard but i cried the most.
    Then my dad take her and cleaned her mouth and started coming more blood and more, and more, and now it's like
    12:45p.m. after the accident and she is still so tired.
    Can you tell me what to do in this problem? I dont think she is now ok but i hope you can find something
    or we are going to the vet if you dont know anything about that

    Hi Salvador. I have a female budgie less than a year old named Pumpkin that I have been trying to tame for 3 MONTHS. I don't know what to do. She freaks out whenever I even move. I admit I haven't been completely consistent with the 5 minute trick and I am a little worried about Ziggy, the male budgie that is with her, but Ziggy is doing better than her and it is only the process of gaining trust. But other than that I have no idea what is wrong. I started hand feeding her, but it is mostly just Ziggy who comes to me. PLEASE HELP. Thanks. (Love your vids)

    • @pencilsketches5556
      @pencilsketches5556 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a situation like like this. When two new budgies are together, one will naturally be a lot more shy than the other, you just have to be patient and do lots of hand feeding with the more trusting one, the more shy one will learn by example eventually even if it feels like they never will. Just be patient, it can be very frustrating training a new bird. Hand feed it, spend tons of time talking to them or just hanging out outside their cage, don’t move super quickly around them and don’t speak loudly, eventually you will gain their trust.

      I'm sorry for your loss of a beloved bird. I used to have a flock of ten with six that are mine while four are my niece's. My niece's first bird she ever got named Caspian passed away due to failing pancreas this month. So now we have nine budgies. He was only three years old. My whole flock with my two male cockatiels miss him. They were very close to each other.

      that sounds like my Alex. She gets very upset if I'm not looking at her, all the time. If I leave the room, she yells. If I'm in with her and trying to multitask, she gets upset. Wants my full attention, all the time. But as for actual contact, she just barely, maybe sometimes lets me touch her.
