I'm so excited for this show, I can't wait to see how Raelle, Tally and Abigail develop their power further and I'm looking forward to seeing the duo of Scylla and Anacostia in action.
They might have made each other better- but they were still toxic towards the end. And now they. are growing into the people they were meant to be on their own terms apart.
@@tammydreamwriter2877yess except I wouldn't say toxic towards the end i think it's more like an emotional reaction still they have positive influence on each other
I hope they show case more of Abigails powers this season, as the rest of her units abilities have been shown and highlighted. Hers haven’t and I felt her disappointment when she found out that only Raelle has the new power as she felt weak.
I definitely agree especially since I think she wants to feel like an asset to the military and live up to her name as a Bellweather. She wants to feel special and important because sometimes she may not get that from her mom because of the pressure of living up to her bloodline.
I think her storm calling has been either shown in trailers as her being really powerful or pushing herself too hard while training for feeling inadequate as you say. Scenes of her controlling 2 cyclones but also I think of her collapsing?
For now Abigail seems weak but I think she's going to be the muscle of the three. Probably is going to learn some busted attacks to make up for the special power gap
I wonder if Raelle is immortal now that she's fused with mother mycelium. And I wonder what effects Raelle actually dying would have on the mycelium and how that would affect magic similar to how Alder's health is tied to the plants of Fort Salem.
Great episode and great 'After the Storm.' I still cling, tenuously to the hope that Scylla wasn't actually the Spree at the mall, the one who murdered fifteen hundred people and then drove away smiling about it. It's a faint hope, but no one has actually stated it was Scylla, or Scylla specifically confessed to it . . . Love Eliot's comment on Forbidden Work . . . which includes what Alder did to the President . . . Oh and Anacostia at the mall, effectively that was Demetria playing Anacostia playing someone else. That was really cool.
Definitely interesting to know Raelle is the reason why Scylla felt more remorse deep down for the families of the victims of the Conscription Day Mall Attack. That love helped Scyllacretain some humanity🇺🇸🎖🔮🎈🍄🌬💨🌪🎼🖤💙
@4:10 A "draw" indeed. Anacostia might try to fool herself that it's about redeeming Scylla and about defeating the Camarilla....but sizzling beneath all that antagonism and sass is romance that is simmering and brewing and I won't be surprised one bit *when* it explodes across the screen and catch both these lovely ladies unaware.
One of true things that pisses me of is that they all talked down about frontline troops, and wanted to avoid seeing combat as if it was beneath them or as of it was a for-certain death sentence.
But that is writing. It's like a cartoon the writer increases the power of characters that they choose. I stated this last session that the writer was going to humiliate the Bellwether family and he did so by committing genocide and he wrote it in a way that nobody cared. He has always written Abigail as spoilt, aggressive, petulant and etc... And this season as someone who is angry, envious, jealous and etc... This shows that he just wrote the Bellwether's to absolve the hate of the show.
@@umpus But that is the point she isn't written to be a compelling character. And the Bellwether's name doesn't seem to be real based on the writer and producer of the show. He hypes the name to get viewers including those of African decent because they love "representation". But the only characters that he has propped up and shown in a good light are the others. Bellwether's just seem to be ambitious, greedy disappointments. You would think that everything that they achieved was a myth. Like when the writer keeps on alluding to Abigail getting into college because of her family instead of on merit. Even though in season one it was mentioned that in other militaries if you kill a Bellwether on the battlefield you could be promoted to general. That was part of the hype of their family. But hype without evidence makes someone annoying.
@@umpus Maybe but weather work is the most common power in the series. Tally looks special because we have never seen that power. Just like Raelle is special because she has a power that no one has. Even in season one the way she healed people was different. Human beings like characters with unique powers. That is why we like the "chosen one" trope. Raelle and Tally are the chosen one. Abigail was advertised as the chosen one but failed so now she is written as bitter angry and jealous.
I love the sections with Eliot and how he fleshes out the ideas of the Motherland world!
I love how Eliot just seems to be sharing a glorious time talking about the show, his passion on the world building is marvel level.
I’m fascinated by the world he’s created. His care and dedication in bringing it to life should be more talked about and appreciated.

Seriously, every episode my reaction is hook, line, sinker Elliot Laurence.
Please create a youtube series so fans can learn mothertongue
I ship Scrylla and Anacostia- I think they have a far more mature vibe. Plus they understand that life IS NOT fair in a way unique to them.
Mothertongue sounds so forced and artificial also it does not give me any wichy vibes at all, it sounds like a cheaper version of Dothraki
