AW Tozer 1897-1963. Loved the way he preached. Tozer was a legendary theologian. Deep penetrating words because Tozer was led by God's Holy Spirit.

I hang on every word of this book. This profound teaching on regeneration is not presented in churches. A part of salvation is taught but not the total transforming gospel as Tozer explains so eloquently. Thank you Jesus for allowing to find what a transformed heart is, and what it is not, in Your sight.
Thanks a million for posting. You will receive many eternal rewards for spreading the gospel in this manner.

Many would profit. Proper doctrine does not in itself lead to pers onal renewal and relationship with the Holy Spirit within one's soul..and a new creature being created in our soul. Carnality in.the soul. Is what is to be put to death..by the Holy Spirit. There is a soul.to be saved and loved and shared out from the heart. Jesus came to save souls. Souls that begin in His life giving Spirit..and fill out people's life in the fruits of the spirit, and a purposeful life. It is abundant life, not the extinction of it by a false understanding of carry one's cross. Christ did that. We receive new life in a resurrected Spirit. This is ministered to us in the Holy Spirit. A good news to share. In fact, this is something only the Holy Spirit can convey and bring us through. Sanctifying us wholly in this creation. Most struggle comes when we try to do only what He can do. And we get discouraged, depressed, and into a self-loathing. The flesh is weak. Won't go this way. Prefers on the soul comfort, an escape. The world of carnal delights beckons an evening stay. Maybe a very long evening into years and a new self loathing. Lord, how can I possibly do this. You can't, He can. Remember just as you were I took you up. Gave you a joyous Spirit and new found love. That's what happens when you take your hands off your own spiritual self improvement plan. You need new mind. Come learn of me. I bear the burden of change. When your soul is full, it will work itself out in character and pursuit. That's walking in the Spirit.

There is some confusion in the Bible over the word 'believe.' Jesus said that whoever 'believes' in Him shall have everlasting life; yet, the demons believe - and tremble! The word believe implies a personal relationship, an infilling of the Holy Spirit. It is not simply an intellectual trust, but one borne of being friends with God.
Referring to the Holy Spirit, Jesus said, "Whoever believes in Me shall have rivers of living water bubbling up inside of him." So many false believers dismiss this verse with a shrug of their shoulders, saying, "Whatever that means!" However, having rivers of living water is the eternal difference of heaven and hell, God's favor or His wrath, of being a sheep in God's pastor or a rejected goat.
Do you know Christ or is He a distant figure? When you pray, do you feel like you are talking to air or are you talking with your best friend? The basis of salvation is, 'Do you know Christ?" Do you know Him or will He say to you, "Depart from Me; I never knew you"? Christ died on a Cross so that we may know Him. Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

    • @thegoodchristian
      @thegoodchristian  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Indeed! True belief also involves some committed act of surrender and love on the part of the believer. I think I am knowing God as a friend and Father, although I am sure I have only scratched the surface of this relationship. How about you?

@@thegoodchristian Thanks for asking; I am good friends with Christ.
Concerning your walk with the Lord, do you have rivers of living water bubbling up inside you? Does the Holy Spirit bear witness with your spirit that you are child of God? Are you seated in the heavenlies with Christ? If so, I encourage you to share this with other Christians. So many are like, "I have no awareness of fellowship with God." If they take that void into eternity, it looks like trouble to me. I could be wrong, but if someone is not sure if they are saved, they probably are not.
However, if anyone is in that position, unsure of their salvation, it is as simple as saying, "Lord, remember your promise to fill me with the Holy Spirit." Christ died on a Cross so that we may have fellowship with Him. On that day, false Christians will not make it on the basis of not knowng Christ. They will hear, "Depart from Me: I never knew you." Presently, witnessing to Christians is a top priority for me. Thanks for writing! Jesus Christ is the light of the world

@@aleph-tav I am so thrilled that you are interested in what the Bible says about salvation. Jesus said, "Whoever believes in Me shall have rivers of living water bubbling up inside Him." This is a reference to the Holy Spirit and there is no better description of what it is like to be born again, filled! Salvation is so easy! Jesus said, "My Father will give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks of Him (Luke 11.13)." So, why do so many people, including most professing Christians, miss salvation? The book of Hebrews has the answer. It talks about the children of Israel, how they did not make it to the promised land because of their unbelief.
Have you ever heard a Christian (or former 'Christian') say that they asked to be filled with the Holy Spirit, but nothing happened? They failed because of their unbelief. For example, please pray for my cousin. He prayed until he was blue in the face, but was never born again. He would beg and beg and beg God to be born again. Do you see the problem? To 'beg' God is to doubt His promises. It is like if someone told you they would pay your rent, then you beg them to. How insulting, as if you have to be manipulated into keeping a promise! Such a person is double-minded (James 1.8). James says that such a person shall never receive anything from God.
Yet, I love how David started one of his prayers, "God, remember your promise..." That is a genuine prayer of faith. You could pray, "God, remember your promise that the Father will give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks of Him. Thank you for giving me rivers of living water!" Never doubt the promises of God.
Remember that salvation is a friendship with Christ. Conversely, on judgment day, Jesus will say to those condemned, "I never knew you." Salvation is simply knowing Christ. How do you talk with your best friends? In the same way, be totally honest with Jesus. In fact, you can even argue with God (just remember that He is right and you are wrong!).
I will pray that the Holy Spirit will fill you with the eternal joy of knowing Christ! Remember the promises of God and hold tightly to them! Here are some Bible verses for further study: Romans 8.16 and Eph 2.6. If these Bible verses do not describe your walk with the Lord, remember, ask and you shall receive! Christ died on a Cross so that we may know Him. Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Except that the mystical cross is also another cross. A cross that annihilates a soul to save. Been there. The Soul to save thrown out with the bath water..Have to avoid extremes. Other wise, great teaching. Read in my search everything probably Tozer did. In terms of spirituality seeking the overcoming life. Morbid self crucifixion and reflection may equally lead away from Christs intentions.

@thegoodchristian It's a long long story which involves Isaiah 58 and the 18 or more blessings contained therein the chapter.
First introduced by Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein and the International Followship of Christians and Jews Organization in order to aid and support Israel❤️
As for combining Genesis and Matthew, Genesis promise a blessing or curse as does Matthew.
Genesis surrounds the course of one's life but Matthew could be ones last end depending on how they treat Israel or the Jews in general.
Jesus became in the seed of Abraham and that makes them His brethren Matt. 25:40.
As for Gen.12:3, it is mentioned throughout the Bible in Gen. 22:18, Gen. 28:14, Numbers 24:9, Jer. 4:2,
      Acts 3:25.
Even with that much I'm skipping over covenantal part.
      ❤️God bless❤️
