I once tried to build an igloo. I was digging out the inside just as they had, and it collapsed on me. I couldn't breathe or move. I was stuck underneath and couldn't tell if the others were trying to dig me out, or if they even knew where I was. I pulled my jacket up over my face because I kept breathing in ice and snow, but that was about as much as I could move since the weight of the snow was pinning me down. I legitimately thought that was the end. I started panicking and hyperventilating, which obviously didn't help since I couldn't breathe in the snow. It felt like an hour that I was stuck under there, but ultimately it was only a few minutes. Let's just say I didn't sleep in that thing that night.

Side note-I went to Alaska for 10 days in June and it was still cold to me! But I had an amazing time and would love to go back! I think the coldest temps I’ve experienced is -20*! And that was horribly cold! I can’t even imagine -29* sleeping in a freakin igloo!

Hi it’s very unlikely that you’ll see this but in England, Stockport there is this abandoned psychiatric hospital and it’s absolutely massive! I think it’s called like St, Thomas psychiatric hospital! It’s supposedly super haunted and there have been reports of footsteps heard from upstairs even though there is no way up due to all the stairs collapsing. Not sure if you still do the exploration kind of vids but it might be a cool idea :)
1) I know I’m super late to this video..
2) As an Alaskan woman who absolutely loves to be outdoors.. you guys went to the extreme! Even if I was on a trip where I had to camp outside in the middle of winter I wouldn’t have even attempted this unless it was absolutely necessary for survival. I would definitely be in the back of car with it running all night lol.
3) I know you guys are super into the ghost hunting nowadays but if you ever do another Alaska adventure you have to be here in the summer for the fishing… sight seeing… camping… and sunlight! Just a suggestion 😉. If you want a real life everyday salmon fishing experience on the Kenai river or the resurrection bay in Seward hit me up lol

Pro tip from a canadien: the things you built werent actualy igloos they were quinzees (igloos are made with blocks of snow/ice) and in order for them to work you usually stick sticks in the top and let it sit for a few days before you dig them out so they freeze

I have lived in Fairbanks my whole life, and have NEVER been in this igloo! SO cool
Let me start off saying this: I was in deep depression for 3 years, I didn't know what to do with my life anymore. (And there were other reasons I was depressed I'm just not going into it) my bsf at the time introduced me to Sam and colby. And I watched a lot of there videos that day. That night I had played on ending it. But after listening to motivation from Sam and coby and seeing how much they care about there fans and all the cool things they can do, made me want to keep living because I would hate to end my problems and create other life treating ones to my family. With that being said I just want to say thank you for helping me get through my depression I am now a lot happier then I was.
I realized there's a reason I was put on this earth and it wasn't just to kms. There is always light at the end of the tunnel be safe

It’s actually a very bad idea to drink alcohol in the cold lol, it brings all your blood to your skin but leaves out your core so you basically freeze from the inside

Right before the igloo collapsed I thought to myself ‘what if it collapses?’😂
Years ago when I was still in Boy scouts, I had to do a winter camp over a weekend. we built a shelter out of a plastic tarp and some trees and kept a fire nearby and made sure to put ventilation in it. A big problem occurred. by nightfall, we realized there wasn't enough room for all of us to fit inside our shelter. Myself and 4 others had to find other acomodations. We found an abandoned wood cabin with exposed windows. It was very drafty but was better than nothing. I remember changing clothes and sliding myself into 5 or 6 sleeping bags and still feeling cold; I don't think I slept much at all. three out of the 4 of us boys woke up fine. however one of us was not. Our friend James came down with a really bad case of hypothermia and we had to rush him to the hospital after hiking a couple miles to our vehicles. He was lucky to make it out alive. At the end of the trip, I realized just how unprepared we really were and that the adults with us should have been more prepared for this situation. To this day I have sworn to never go camping in the winter ever again.
