When we from other cities go to mizoram we must see to it that if there is trash thrown outside by tourists to pick it up and put it in garbage pit… by this act we must show our love and respect to our north eastern brothers and sisters

Especially in former times, Mizos might have been one of the most honest tribes in the world. No locks for houses were needed, and a single piece of wood placed leaning on the bamboo doors would suffice to inform people that the owners were absent, and all would be respectful. The practice of voluntarily helping the needies, individually or in groups without expecting any return was what made the mizos life most pleasant and notable. However, materialism and drug menace have now starting to infiltrate the society, and the once beautiful social norms are changing for the worse.

The honesty and humility are not due to Christian influence but way imbedded from our ancestors. Due to modernization young generations tends to forget but more or less you will still found in many places.

If you want to go to mizoram by train then book a train ticket from Guwahati to Silchar. There are so many buses available from silchar to Mizoram(Aizawl)
