You should definitely wash all of these, separately from any non-microfiber materials, before comparing. Microfiber will always increase in absorbency after a few washes, if washed correctly.
You can also weigh the sleeves dry, and then wet, to get an easier and more accurate measurement.
Since no one wants their sleeve dripping in use, I would suggest wringing them out until they are *just barely* not dripping, then measuring. That would probably be the most useful value to compare.
