Topaz is always being sent on those miserable missions with something always between them. They've ran into organic life probably quite a lot for this to be Topaz's job.
"Someone between us" may just mean that her superiors make her do things that give Topaz little time to enjoy herself and her relationship. But you could be right in it meaning something more literal.
My own suspicion is that, in a rather ironic parallel to Rose Quartz, the Diamonds lead a rebellion against the Gem's creators as subject races are wont to do in fiction. Considering what we see of the gems today, we can conclude that rebellion was more successful than Rose's.
Why is noone mentioning the fact that in Gem Drill, Peridot said: "...The cluster will be a billion times bigger. An inseparable fusion capable of destroying worlds, starting with this one..." It perfectly adds your case.
One kinda half theory i have is a meteor struck homeworld and excited photons, and then consciousness was born and placed into a gem, or white diamond. Blue and yellow were made from this way as well, but Pink Diamond emerged from the ground, hence why her mural depicts her rising from the ground.
Also when Peridot enters Steven's bathroom for the first time, she says there's a hint of "Earth Citrus" implying that Earth isn't the only planet with citrus and therefore life. Furthermore on Homeworld as Steven and Lars are walking through the cave we see some sort of liquid dripping, possibly water?
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING!! I've been wondering what would be the point of having the cluster, or how the Diamonds even planned to tame it. I was thinking that they were fighting against Snaple. But seriously, how are the Diamonds planning to control the cluster? It's way bigger than they are and is capable of destroying worlds, why would they even risk something like that??!
Well, they're already using Oth'cani technology to insert semi-neutralized anthons between the spaces in between the molecules of Transjordanite crystals, using the weirdness effect of anthon rifts placed in mineral-rich areas within the Cazorpazorp system to allow for Gem production. The abilities of a Gem's core gem will act as a hinge for the rifts of the anthons located inside the crystals, opening/closing the rifts within it at will, utilizing their properties to achieve feats normally impossible in this universe's laws of physics. Transjordanites will be the ultimate Gems, led by the Diamonds as guides and commanders. They could wreak havoc on enemy worlds if they wanted to, their combined anthons creating a greater rift that encompasses a much larger area of 5D space-time
This is EXACTLY what I was thinking of. We need to learn what kind of damage Homeworld is doing to the rest of the universe. I mean, are there aliens whose planets have been conquered by Homeworld forming an alliance to stop them or are they to afraid to do anything to them, and how the rest of the universe views Gems? Do they think that every single last one of them are irredeemable, black-hearted monsters who need to be shattered the moment they are caught? I believe that one day they'll be a new character who'll join the main group. An alien whose home planet had been conquered by the Gems, his people enslaved, and his family murdered. He'll have train for years to fight against the Gems and does a one-man (along with his alien bird) crusade to shatter the Gems to extinction. Eventually he'll go to Earth when he learns that there are Gems there and he'll try to kill the Crystal Gems. But Steven will show him the error of his ways and he'll realize that not all Gems are evil and he'll join up with the gang. I may also get a lot of flame for this but I also want him to eventually fall in love with Steven and have him, Steven, and Connie get in a crazy love-triangle.
Im thinking that the gems were created for the same reason as they are now (soldiers, workers etc.), but they were created by other aliens. Then comes in the classic AI becoming aware of itself and they rebel against their creator.
It's like in Max Steel with Makino representing white dimond, ultralinks and megalinks-gems and the same purpose of colonisation and one big rebel traitor, Rose.
My guess is other gems who said the rebellion stopped at Earth? The weapons the Homeworld gems are perfect for subduing other gems. It there are other rebel planets the Cluster growing in a failed colony would be perfect for destroying those rogue planets.
I know this comment is a bit late, but Jungle Moon, the episode where we first got to see Pink Diamond, confirms the fact that organic life does exist elsewhere. Still though, no other civilizations. Rip.
Just a shower thought: What if, instead of the Diamonds revolting against their creators, their creators tried to kill them? And all gems used to be like the Diamonds, but only WD, YD, and BD (and maybe PD if she was created by then) survived?
What youve just touched on with the whole "creation of the first gems by some other species"-thing is a line of reasoning often used by creationists, its called the "argument from complexity", saying something couldnt have happened on its own (like the creation of the first gems in your example) because that thing is too complicated, is a fundamentally flawed way of thinking, by that logic: nothing could exist.
My theory is they made the cluster was since there was so many shards of shattered gems from the war and they could just be used to destroy the earth in stead of using precious materials that home world needs to survive
Did you know that are some substances/stones that are harder than a diamond? One of em is called Wurtzite, but however these substances/stones are really rare...
No, the first or first few gems (probably Diamonds) might have simply naturally evolved from their environment, appeared as a lucky coincidences much like us. Then, in a few eons, they could have discovered how to "procreate". The problem is we don't know enough about them to make any sort of assumption of this kind. We don't know if they evolved naturally or if they were made by a Precursor species. We don't enough about their psyche (how their minds work) to assume the reasons behind their reaction to Earthling life. For all we know, Humans are the only other sentient species in the SU universe, but the Gems simply disregarded them as curiosities, bararious mongrels that could simply be used as entertainement, ergo Zoomans, but that could be wiped out if ever they made trouble, like stiffling development of the Gem Empire (kind of like how the British autorities treated Amerindians, when you think of it).
With all the focus that the cartoon gave to the society of the gems I doubt they present other aliens It would be very interesting Steven Universe to become a type of Space opera but for this to appear now, there should be more evidence throughout the series
so it can make sense that the statue looking thing that looks like white diamond can be a computer-computer but than how would she have conquered the planets on her cave painting on earth
I think it's a bit presumptuous to assume that just because gems are inorganic that they're artificial. Who's to say gem injectors aren't some kind of technology gems use to help produce more viable offspring than natural means can? I don't think it's too far fetched to think that inorganic life could evolve in the same way organic life on earth has. We're just mutant sugary computers with hairy fish bodies, not much different from the rock computers with bodies made of light
Interesting idea, but here's another one. Why would Gems care about aliens? The Gempire has a very rigid structure and anything that doesn't fit into that structure needs to be destroyed, as Jasper so eloquently put that. This doesn't only apply to Gems. Lapis and Peridot made art (meep-morp) as if they'd never experienced it before (which is odd, since we see statues and murals everywhere) but this proves the point that anything that doesn't fit Homeworlds needs, or contribute in any meaningful way, doesn't exist under the Diamond control. Now how does this relate to Earth? Simple, it's not just small things (Gems, art, etc.) that fall under this rigid structure, it would include big things too. Gems need planets in order to grow their empire. It's been implied they can only use a specific kind of planet to grow Gems (Mars and Venus, presumably, are untouched). So what if this one planet had other creatures on it? They don't have a place in the empire, but their planet does, and why shouldn't the Gems use it? I doubt most Gems were ever even curious about the life on Earth, all they cared about was shaping the planet into a new womb for the empire. This is where it gets tricky, it's hard for us to think of a situation like that. But I don't think Gems automatically think the way we do. They have the same emotions sure, but, whether by nature, design or just because of their government... it seems most Gems lack curiosity.
To talk about the origin of gems is a bit difficult since this fact was never questioned It is possible that this issue comes up with the White Diamond (the probable first gem) but I do not bet on the idea of another race having created the gems
But if they had another race they were probably extinguished by the gems they created because the gems deprive organic life may have turned against their creators and if appropriate their technology In short, we'll see another race perhaps in flashbacks or paintings and sculptures
i hate cartoon universe, the roundtables and everything else, they are just clickbait The gem race is too human to be an AI :T Fictional crystals at least try to make a little sense, i hope she doesn't become clickbait like them :T
So I'm a Pathfinder nerd. What would happen if Gems ran into a D&D/Pathfinder based world? I mean SHATTER is a level 1 spell in D&D/Pathfinder. Would they have turned tail and run?
Fictional Crystals, you are a genius! What if the Diamonds and all those first gems were really created by organic life? Maybe they were created by that species to serve them. What if they really are artificial intelligence? In this case there are three possible scenarios. 1) *Gems once rebelled against their own creators.* This scenario describes that the gems may have rebelled against their own creators. This puts us into a separated condition as well: *gems may have destroyed their creators*, or *gems may have only rebelled and escaped, but their creators still live on.* The second one is more likely to be the truth, because that would explain the Yellow Diamond's line *"Let's make a plan of attack!"* and the shortage of resources, because of course their creators would try to stop gems from obtaining the resources they need to make more gems. 2) *Gems' creators died out.* This scenario would free the gems from the need to rebel against their creators and make a perfect ground to develop their own government. They may have taken their creators' technology, language, or maybe even their planet(?). That would explain the strange name "Homeworld". I mean, even we, "mere" and "puny" humans, came up with a cool name for *our* homeworld: *Earth*. But Homeworld really is the "homeworld" for the gems: that's the place where they were created, the place were they have taken that what remained from their creators and started to develop on their own. If you read to this point, please, leave a comment to this comment. I really want to know your opinion.
Most of the robots we built take a lot from us after all and some of them are built based on the animals or something similar to based on what we found. Whoever these aliens are had chosen feminine figures, it sounds like an unlikely coincident that they look like humans with diverse skin tone. It is either the Aliens are humanoid themselves or they based on other alien species who look like humans being. Unlike their creations, they would only built them for tasks that they cannot do it on their own just like how we built other machines to make it easier for us. Why we want AI robots is because we need machines that are capable to have the patience, awareness and accuracy to react to situations whenever or whatever it is. My second theory is that Gem society didn't start out in their physical form than the aliens had started out their first summon weapons. So basically the Gemstones were actually first started as summon weapons before humanoid gems were made. It makes sense for the aliens to start somewhere simple just as we first invented tools to help us build other devices but when they advanced; they chose to make their gems sentient.
Baltica's Chronics maybe those "creators" who'd you refer are actually snake people, what if gems needed to conquer earth to extract resources and create soldiers to figh against them, besides it would be awesome 'cause you saw the whole series thinking that the diamond authority were the bad guys when snake people were after all. What if steven is the key to beat them.😢😢😢 sorry please tell me if I wrote something bad is because I'm learning english and I want to learn it well
Well Ronaldo's prediction were correct and the whole human zoo came true just like the Diamonds so its hard to imagine that the first prediction was false. The dollar bill has both the Snake and the Diamond symbol when Ronaldo revealed the Diamond Authority on that time so it is possible for the Sneople to exist. However it is like I said, their creations would take a lot from their creators but the gems do not have snake like appearances but the only ones who I can say who have a similar feature are the Diamonds whom their pupils are shaped into sharp edges like Snake's eyes but that is the only thing that they resembles them.
The 12 diamond on the shield in the strawberry war place theory... My theory is that there are other 4 diamond authorities including our diamond authority
What if cookiecats were the creaters of white diamond, then white diamond made yellow and blue diamond, then yellow made other gems while blue made pink diamond and other gems.
The line "let's make a plan of attack" isn't meant to be interpreted this way. In what the use of feeling blue, yellow diamond is talking about making a plan of attack to stop thinking about pink diamond. Hence, "let's start looking forward and stop looking back." Since blue diamond is still thinking about pink. I agree with what you're saying in the video but wrong evidence.
CAN YOU DO A VIDEO ON WHY AMETHYST IS A YOUNG CHILD IN THE FLASHBACKS IF GEMS ARE NEVER BABYS? I HAVE WONDERED THIS FOR SO LONG! (sorry for the caps lol)
The militaristic nature of gem society doesn't really make very much sense if humans and gems are the only intelligent life in the universe; in fact, it strongly implies there are at other interstellar empires of comparable size to the Gem Empire, because conquering primitives is a task that you could accomplish with a handful of Quartzes, given how ridiculously advanced the gems are.
I love your videos there awsome sorry I was gone my brother thought that I couldn't go without WiFi for a week I proved him wrong nd got 10 bucks for it!
Wait there AI that makes my think in the transformers comics it is revealed that all Cybertron are made in a factory in a pocket dimension, sent to an universe and than are populated by robots what if one of them took a different path making a new species that is within the same family. Sparked Mechanoids PS I know that's not true just fun.
This theory is pointless. Of course there are more. We have the murals to confirm it. Seriously when did you record this? In 2015? If this was made before Steven Bomb 4 it would be fine, but now?
Topaz is always being sent on those miserable missions with something always between them. They've ran into organic life probably quite a lot for this to be Topaz's job.
"Someone between us" may just mean that her superiors make her do things that give Topaz little time to enjoy herself and her relationship. But you could be right in it meaning something more literal.
Ronaldo has predicted so much already, I wouldn't be surprised if Seenple actually exist.
nice video,
I can't wait till the Diamonds hear that they were created by organic life
how embarrassing would that be
ferhattje They probably knew and being inorganic, they overthrew their organic creators.
My own suspicion is that, in a rather ironic parallel to Rose Quartz, the Diamonds lead a rebellion against the Gem's creators as subject races are wont to do in fiction. Considering what we see of the gems today, we can conclude that rebellion was more successful than Rose's.
LOL XD ! ! ! ! !
Run to the hills people the Sneople are coming

It's obviously
*SNEEPLE*
I like your videos because you always get to the point, and your videos are never long winded, I appreciate that

Water is everywhere in the universe.
Dirtfire water is everywhere but liquid water isn't.
Even though gemkind are highly advanced they are just type 1 civilisation in kadeshev scale
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING!! I've been wondering what would be the point of having the cluster, or how the Diamonds even planned to tame it. i think the other aliens are called meep morps, because thats what lapis calls paintings and sculptures and those are types of art, like dancing
I had always wondered about this
You have a good point,It would be cool to see in the show other alien species.
Just a shower thought:
What if, instead of the Diamonds revolting against their creators,
their creators tried to kill them?
And all gems used to be like the Diamonds, but only WD, YD, and BD (and maybe PD if she was created by then) survived?
Since Rebecca is an anime fan I am thinking the Gems were made by a race similar to the Robotech Masters.

I'm so glad u thought of it like this. That vox dude said it was sneople like wtf
I really want other aliens to show up but it seems pretty late in the game to introduce something so huge
so it can make sense that the statue looking thing that looks like white diamond can be a computer-computer but than how would she have conquered the planets on her cave painting on earth

Your voice is awesome btw
I don't remember wether or not i've said that before
The heroes are forgotten and the monsters live on through the fear they created, Hitler, Stalin and Dracula are only a few example of this.
FC, is the war REALLY over? Maybe it's on pause, and a future event of the series is the war... RESUMING!

It's not worthless speculation, because the origin of the gem species is a major unresolved mystery in the Steven Universe setting.

elias martinez Hmmm... It is still hard for me to imagine Sneople being a real thing... (btw your end is good m8)

The 12 diamond on the shield in the strawberry war place theory... My theory is that there are other 4 diamond authorities including our diamond authority
i think the diamonds were the first gems
I think there was more diamonds before, then war, then white, blue, yellow and pink the only survivors
but the most important i think is
those 4
In other words, i'm saying the other diamonds died
i know
well, if the most important are our 4 ones it's because they are alive
Oh wait PD :c
What if cookiecats were the creaters of white diamond, then white diamond made yellow and blue diamond, then yellow made other gems while blue made pink diamond and other gems.
I feel it has to do with the bad guys that one fights in saving the light game
The line "let's make a plan of attack" isn't meant to be interpreted this way. what about the sneople😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍
CAN YOU DO A VIDEO ON WHY AMETHYST IS A YOUNG CHILD IN THE FLASHBACKS IF GEMS ARE NEVER BABYS? I HAVE WONDERED THIS FOR SO LONG! (sorry for the caps lol)
amethyst didnt become a baby, at that point she acted like a baby. Her height still remained the same, so she wasn't a baby.
I've always imagined a metal world being another alien world in SU
what if the diamonds are literally created by humans ? ...
When she puts like that it alot it makes a lot of sense
Someone should just ask Rebecca through twitter or in the next place she is at
FINALLY someone thinks about this!
plot twist azmuth created the gems
*S N E E P L E*
It's the real Rock People
So the cluster is a Death Star copy cat
Rob2324 the galactic empire will shatter the gems (pun intended)
haha. What if they plan on attacking WD
Steven Universe = Halo confirmed
I love your voice
I mean, its pretty obvious.
Theory: Pink Diamond was the first gem.
🤔
I wonder..🐍
example of this theory water melon people
PREDATORS ARE SNEEPLE
SNEEPLE ARE FOR YOU SPINES(if u r armed)
I like this theory
Sneepole confirmed
What if gems are some alien 12 year olds science project
Yeah, go figure
Yeah you are good
They should just keep between gems and humans
Angerskull 360 I much agree with you
The militaristic nature of gem society doesn't really make very much sense if humans and gems are the only intelligent life in the universe; in fact, it strongly implies there are at other interstellar empires of comparable size to the Gem Empire, because conquering primitives is a task that you could accomplish with a handful of Quartzes, given how ridiculously advanced the gems are.

"I was fine... with the *_MEN_* that would come into your life now and again" different human? or different species? whatever it is it has genders
but sneeple made the gems! Ronaldo said so! Ronaldo has been right about everything so far
Could they be fighting.._ SNEOPLE!!! *bum bum bum*
blob birds!
Oh...u mean the sneeple ....hmmm good theory i feel like white could be dealing with that alien race but know one knows
what if they need the cluster to form white diamond???? #ImHigh
