I think it's from nade timing. If they hit him before landing on the ground it can cause them to explode later (sooner?). Which throws off the whole thing, at least when the first nade does.
@@darthshard8967 yeah I'm console player and I'd argue it's more difficult and takes a slightly bit more skill to manage everything with limited buttons
@@LokisDivinity yes and no because the difference you get in aiming and quick switching is compensated with the game's overall difficulty. On pc even an imp kills u when hitting you twice on nightmare which makes runs like that all the more impressive. I'll never get that good no matter the amount of training I always get hit from somewhere and die in seconds...
@@LETSROCKTA True but once you have everything mastered the difference is so negligible. It's a challenge either way. I've found that even on console I die because of stupid things that a controller (even an elite style one) won't let me do. Hot Swapping being just one. The way a mouse can just flickshot demons as well and the overall time it takes to even do that with a controller is just not customisable enough to enable me to do stuff like that.

Only 630 subs and 1.5K views? No way. This is such an awesome run. I just played Doom for the first time last month and could only beat the Super Gore Nest Master Level on Ultra Violence. You are really amazing to watch.
Imagine actually being a demon and seeing this armored guy flying in at 100 mph speeds, switching weapons and melting all of your friends like a fucking maniac in a matter of 20 seconds
He did a slash cancel. Basically it interrupts the animation from completing fully and you get a free crucible hit in. I think it only really works on DH though. I've yet to practice it for my UNM runs
Oh yeah forgot to note, technically the slash cancel works anything that does not "die" in a singular hit of the crucible. So Sleds, breakable walls, I think carcass walls technically fall under this as well. That said once you perfect said slash cancel it completely bashes DH fights in master levels specially in such a tight space.
A couple of things I learned from this: Partial charge destroyer blade kills carcasses. As does PB + SS. Arbalyst into lock on rockets can one cycle a marauder. Destroyer blade kills all the specters. Can use 1 BFG @ Carcass nest or 1st slime and get it back. Ice bomb creates space for charging the destroyer blade.

If I'd ever wanna be a speed runner Doom is gonna be one of the games i speed run, just learning and knowing where demons spawn and stuff and how to take them out quickly. That's really awesome! xD

Wow what an incredible run, I just played Eternal again for the first time in months and tried out this Master Level instantly at Nightmare (I should’ve practiced first because I was incredibly rusty and I struggled a lot to say the least lol, but whatever). Anyway, to then see someone do the Ultra-Nightmare challenge in about 14 minutes with near-perfect movement, combat etc. is simply breathtaking. Idk how you just have 900 subs, you deserve wayyyy more. Keep it up man!

Actually, probably only 10 seconds at the most lol Blood Punch + SSG + Frag is still very fast, and both Doom Hunters are fought on spawn so it'd be easy to get that combo off.

@@zzarious7740 Try not to press any movement keys when turning around after a boost. You might be accidentally losing speed by pressing a direction that isn't the same direction as your momentum.

I combined the ballista recoil with the boost pad for extra speed.
