    Product Details:
    Organic Grub Control by the Andedsons uses Bacillus thuringiensis galleriae (Btg) bio-insecticide to control turf grubs at a level of efficacy equivalent to chemical standards but without the side effects or off-target damage to beneficial insects, such as pollinators. Entire landscapes can be economically, effectively and safely protected from destructive beetle pests such as Japanese, Asiatic, June and Oriental Beetles, and European, Cupreous, Southern and Northern Masked Chafers. Unlike other biological or chemical grub-control products that are only effective against smaller 1st-instar pests this is an effective control of the larger, later 2nd- and 3rd-instar beetles, and can therefore be used as a curative treatment for grub control as well as a preventative treatment.
    Novel & natural Bacillus thuringiensis galleriae (Btg) strain
    • Much broader range of control: Japanese, Oriental, June and Asiatic beetles; Chafers, Weevils & Emerald Ash Borers
    • Works on 1st to 3rd instar stages
    • Novel beetle activity on adults & grubs
    • Novel Btg turf granule & foliar formula for multiple markets
    • Is effective in cooler temperatures than other biologicals
    Effectiveness Study of BTG:

    Also sold as Scotts Grub B Gon MAX here in Canada, and it's pretty much the only product you can legally buy or use for grubs. Same active ingredient: Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. galleriae sds-502. As you mentioned this really only works if applied in late summer when newly laid eggs turn to grubs to feed before winter. If it's springtime and you've got fat grubs from last year that have come back to the surface to feed and wreck your lawn again before pupating into beetles, this won't really do anything to them.

    So I did some looking into this product and i'm wondering what the other 91% of ingredients, (that make up this product) are?
    I also see that it has not been tested for the use in veggie gardens. Organic ay?
    If something is labeled as organic --- to me that says --- its 100% safe! To use wherever!
    I feel the term "organic", is one, that has become an advertisement ploy --- to get environmentally concerned ppl --- to buy their products! If there's only 1 ingredient in a product that's truly organic, they haphazardly slap the term on it!
    I'm not saying that this product isn't --- but transparency to me (91%) says alot. I would like to know what else this contains....???
    It also looks like it isn't sold in CA...
    Thanks for the video tho...

    • @AAtta-3286
      @AAtta-3286 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @bill hill I'm not against natural products for lawn care. I have been using Jobes Organic lawn fertilizer for years with GREAT RESULTS and willing to pay a FEW dollars more. If you did some research, you would have found that chlorantraniliprole (Acelepryn or GrubEx), is not harmful to pollinators, and is presently what I use to BOTH protect my lawn from grubs AND protect bees and other pollinators at a reasonable price. You'll get no argument from me if there is a viable alternative to chemicals that won't harm our environment and do an effective job. All I was saying is FOR ME, I find Grubex effective, safe, and at a reasonable cost compared to THE PRODUCT in the video. If there were a natural product that was effective and cost a FEW dollars more, I'd definitely switch.
