    Haile Selassie I, previously known as Ras Tafari (on which the Rastafari movement is based), during part of his coronation ceremonies as Emperor of Ethiopia, in Addis Ababa. Ethiopian citizens and their animals in a large gathering area. Vehicles moving amidst a huge parade crowd and honor guard lined on sides of street. Haile Selassie I, born as Tafari Makonnen Woldemikael, in traditional ceremonial clothing in the open back of a car. An assistant holds an umbrella over his head. Ethiopian troops parade on horseback. Many other officials in traditional clothing and regalia along with tribal chiefs at an outdoor site. Visiting dignitaries in full military and ceremonial dress. Haile Selassie and other officials salute. Location: Addis Ababa Abyssinia. Date: November 1930.
