So glad they got rid of Steve Sarkisian. This dude has been wasting away in his offensive schemes for over two years. Julio was on fire this year and could have been so explosive if better, more creative play calls were made and executed correctly. I hope the next offensive coordinator can figure out how to use him to help this offense win more games and get them into the playoffs.
JayeCrook29 i agree but I also disagree.. we had one of the top 5 offenses in the league while being dead last in rushing offense. Sarkisan didn’t do half bad considering he was down a pro bowl RB, the interior of the O Line was shredded, and he had a rookie slot receiver/rookie 2nd RB. Spread the ball nicely and gave Hooper a breakout year as well as putting Ridley in the ROY race. I do think it’s time to get someone new though. I’d love Koetter
@@jakethesnake4533 my answer to that is that the passing game was top 10 from what I read. Which is great on paper but the missing ingredients to why they werent better is not only in how they were running the ball from the field. But in that It's how the pass plays were run in conjunction from the run plays and what plays were called from that conjunction. Their passing game was 6th in the league. In an NFL designed to throwing more than running to keep butts in the seats and create more penalties due to pass interference calls, Steve Sarkisian forgot to utilize his left tackle more and Hooper as a better chip protector in the run game. Julio and Ridley can exist in an offense that features both of them getting touches along with Hooper making the occasional play. EX, see how Sanu has done it for years now. But what makes a bad play caller is the use of weapons during the games. During the eagles game, everyone and their mothers knew Jones would be targeted towards the end, they combo covered him so often that the announcers even saw it. That's when you run a flood concept to break that tendency and create the best separation. Or you can even run that concept and fake it to run a draw play or screen play to take three sets of eyes from the box (both eyes of the safeties and corner from whichever side of the field you're attacking). Even if they lost Devonta for several games, screens can be almost as effective as running plays if done correctly. The offense I would go to next would be more zone based running instead of dry man schemed. So I would go for the offensive coordinator from New York because he's a disciple of shanahan which would best fit Matty ice best from what I can tell. The reason why is simple, watch the 2016 Falcons and how productive they were when whoever had the ball in the backfield was making plays while the offense controlled the time of possession. Matty ice was most comfortable and Julio along with sanu were fed accordingly. For goodness sake even Jacob tamme had touches and we both know Hooper is much more explosive than him any day of the week
every single game this man has been double and triple covered. that shows how much the coaches fear him and despite the pressure he still makes the best wr on the team statisticallly every season. granted he makes less running yards because of the man coverage but his catches and route running are more than enough to make him a deadly player. 1 - Jerry Rice 2 - Julio Jones

Julio’s the man! But, I’ll take Hopkins over Jones every time for Fantasy Football even though I’m a dirty bird!
Been watching matt ryan for 10+ years... he rarely hits the receiver in stride. Julio almost always finishes his route before the ball even gets there, so no chance for a lot of YAC. The stats are great but that's why Ryan has rarely taken this team for deep runs.

sorry but im new to tis sport but how come sometimes a play ends when the player is tackled but in some cases such as 1:35 the play continues and the player can still advance by running? love from Singapore!
or in some cases when the opponent intercepts a pass, the play just ends but sometimes when the player intercepts i see them run and try to advance, like when does the play counts as over?
o and why dont the players just play possession like in soccer and pass the ball multiple times during a play, i only ever see them pass once and try to bulldoze their way through
To answer your first question, a player is not ruled as "down" unless he is touched by the opposing team. So if a player just falls down without any contact, then the play is still live and he can continue to get up and run. This applies for both offense and defense, so when an interception happens the defensive player sometimes falls to the ground and then gets back up because there was no contact from the offense. For your second question, it's a little complicated but I'll try to explain it as best I can. You're not allowed to throw a forward pass once you cross the "line of scrimmage," which is where the ball starts on a play and is represented by the blue line on the screen. You can, however, throw a lateral or backwards pass from any point on the field, but the reason most players don't do that is because it is very risky. This is because if the pass is incomplete, the ball is still live and can be recovered by either team, like a fumble. On a forward pass, though, the play is dead if it is incomplete, making it a much safer option. Hopefully I answered your questions well enough. If you have more, feel free to ask. It's awesome that people see my videos from Singapore! Thanks for watching!
Edwin Batiste he's not, hopkins has better hands but that is it. Julio's route running, release and physical attributes are significantly better. Julio beats double and triple teams while hopkins highlights show him in single coverage. I'm obviously a little biased, but hopkins is given so much time to get open and catch the ball because watson scrambles for minutes to wait for him
We both biased obviously but I stand by my argument Hop is has better hands and is def more physical. As far as route running is actually quite even, hop has better power moves and Julio has better agility moves. And hop don’t take long at all to get tf you mean lol. No problem, I made it unlisted. Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/-d5HaciOaJ4/w-d-xo.html
@@HailMaryHighlights Wow man. You're the best. Thanks a lot!
Well actually, it was removed due to copyright infringement by the NFL unfortunately
Matt Bryant! #Brotherhood😃
And he didn’t even make the first team Pro Bowl over Michael Thomas smh.
SbcPlayz bunch of bullshit if you ask me
SbcPlayz exactly he gets doubled more than any other receiver and still leads the league in yards and people complain about his 8 tds when we have three other receivers on our team that Matt Ryan likes to throw to
Who else saw the reff fall at 1:56
😂😭😭
In the redzone, this man should be targeted at least 2 or the 4 downs, should always lead the league in TDs
Why when most likely there’s gonna be 2 or more people on him in such small space... he usually leads in yards that’s the sign of a dominating receiver
geeze how is he so wide open so often, crazy.
Ha Haa The way he runs his routes he’s not just big and fast he has the footwork and skills of AB at this side it’s scary that’s what it is
6:26
Wow didn’t realize how bad Matt Ryan was. Or maybe the play calling
It was the calling. Steve Sarkisian was a hack.
Ryan throws him into hits and makes Julio have to slow down for catches and these are highlights smh.
Lmfao that's explains why he catch all bombs and it's never a touchdown. Matt Ryan throw long passes like hail marys
must be very easy throwing 40 yard passes....apparently all the other QB's hit their targets all the time.
😎😎😎😎😎😎
Not trying to take anything away from Julio but goddamn some of these coverages are bad
He beats the coverage that's the point lls
PKIce he fucked he defense up that’s why it look bad
He burned the defense that’s why
That's because you can't guard Julio Jones. He makes em look that bad
Julio Jones is leaving?
rjravaz I hope not
No
He will retire in Atlanta
Y'all wish

The falcons were losing in almost every clip LMAO
