I really like your tarp, good job. You could also add a tie out point in the middle of the back to tie to a high up branch to pull it out further. I think you could sell your design, with the 2 side parts you have practically got a Hot Tent capability!
For a hot tent setup, or at least better wind protection i'd recommend the warbonnet superfly, or something similar. But its best with other hammocks (non perpendicular lay)
Thats a great setup! I was almost decided on a bridge hammock and a warbonnet superfly tarp, giving me as much of a closed setup as possible with a hammock, but im honestly reconsidering going with a Draumr 5 and one of these 4x4 tarps. I dont want to buy something and regret it, not a fan of consumerism. Would love some advice. (I'll be bicycle touring in averse weather)
Be aware the 4x4 tarps are big and tricky to pitch , mine is moded 4 x 2.5 . Can you be sure of trees ? You can ground pitch the Amok also see shugs channel he set his up with Warbonnet Superfly Tarp although not as much cover as mine. 4 x 2.5 is the perfect size so far for me hope this helps abit.
Why don’t you just hang the lamp ( which I have too 😂 ) on the ridge line of the hammock so it’s directly above your head? Has this a specific reason? Should hold it easily or not? At the moment fighting with me spending more money on outdoor gear and buying this hammock 😂😅😅🤣🤣
@@walkaboutphilpots3795 ah okay. Thanks for your answer :) yeah they work well! I want to buy now a ledlenser ml4 I think they are Called in warm white. These things have a lot of power and are small as your middle finger. But also cost 35€. But great for light weight hiking and stuff.
A good alternative to the Amok Tarp but most importantly will have other uses ...
Nice One 👍😎👍
You should market this.

I might just add that extra tie out great idea. Atb.

Hi mate looking at the cumulus quilt myself would you recommend and are you thinking of selling maybe ?
Cumulus is great, i don't plan on selling. Needs a UQ though as open back. Or a pad.
