You guys have a great little railway there but..... There's one concerning aspect that I noticed and should be addressed as a matter of safety and that was the shunting. Everyone who does the shunting does it different from the next guy. Sooner or later you guys are going to have an accident. The way to overcome this is to ensure that everyone who does shunting does it the same way, not three or four different ways as it's currently done. Just imagine being the poor train driver at present trying to remember who's who and that they do it different from someone else. It's much better if everyone does it the same way as there will no confusion for the train driver and less likelihood of an accident .

Put a pony truck under the front of that locomotive. It might keep you from a derail someday.
0-4-4 tank locomotives were in common use in the U.K. and presented no particular problem.
