The elbow being officiated as a flagrant seemed a bit odd though, it looks like a hard rebound with Luka being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Idon't really get what Poirier did wrong here

Non motivated, current USA dream-team would be trampled through-and-through by a potential Euro team (consisting of best players on this tournament)...incredible thing to think of...USA would need to be really motivated and fit to withstand: Luka, Jokic, Giannis, Gober, Dragic, MVP of Euroleag Micic (Ser), Bojan and Bogdan Bogdanovic (Bogdan absent, injured), Mamu from Georgia, Valanciunas, Nurkic (forgot him, woudl never if it was just former Yu), also Jan Vesely...actually for some of the great players there wouldn't be a seat on a long bench...It woud be a war for sure. Curry can shower 3pters all day long, but so can Luka. And go double Jokic and you're done, no brainer dunks for Giannis.

Of course he's protected to some extent, he's a superstar in this tournament, that happens not just in NBA. Slovenians also put a lot of pressure on refs every single game by constantly complaining, giving "angry" looks and that helps them sometimes.
I was at every game in cologne this week. You don‘t see how much the slovanian Players complain on TV. After EVERY CALL. Its just ridiculous. As much I love Luka as a player, this has to stop. Kids look up to him and they see: „Oh he‘s complaining, so I will do it, too“. Yes, the referees suck. But for every Team and player. Get over it and be a role model for all kids.

Also can we talk about how terrible refs have been this entire tournament no matter what game. It's frankly unacceptable to have 3rd grade refeeres officiating at this level (for those who don't know these aren't the best refs from like Euroleague who are for the most part amazing and very respected but are pretty much random 3rd grade refs appointed by FIBA) and i just can't imagine how many terrible calls we'll see in elimination games hopefully it won't happen but i'm not holding my breath. Also search up on yt the play where Dragić stole the ball in the last 1:30 i believe and just look at that the French coach does to a referee. Disgusting.
