Taxi was one of the finest tv shows ever created. Not only was the writing superb, the shows managed to be touching and funny at the same time, but the cast was phenomenal. Christopher Lloyd was especially talented.

Christopher Lloyd's Jim Ignatowski was one of the most memorable characters, ever. Someone who was so carefree that he didn't know what day it was.
    Well done !

I was around nine or so when I started watching all these classic shows on nick at night and I have loved them ever since. I will always hold them in high regard.

You won't see many shows with moments like this these day's. Moments that teach empathy and wisdom. I am only thirty four but I grew up watching all the classic t.v. shows on nick at night. Im thankful I had the chance to watch them and learn what good acting is. Sure, there are still a few good shows these day's but most of the shows these day's are absolute trash just like the reality shows on MTV.

I loved this show as a kid. Now looking back I think, Oh My God, how good were the actors? But more than that, the writing was gifted and so on point. Respect, now and forever.

I remembered crying during this episode. Rev. Jim has a great soul, kind soul.

I remember watching this scene as a kid, getting ready to laugh, thinking Jim was going to give a wacky eulogy to his horse. Instead, an unexpectedly very touching moment

They were all so young back then. I miss these sitcoms. Shame they don't make them anymore :(

Absolutely one of the greatest comedies ever. I just had to do a quick search. It "only" ran for about 5 seasons and ended production the same year the highly touted M*A*S*H did- 2 terrible blows to the medium of TV entertainment that's for sure. Both shows had such depth of heart, but whereas M*A*S*H clearly shifted into more dramatic tones underguirded by humor, Taxi showed ongoing mastery of bringing one to tears during occasional moments like this amidst all the laughter. I cried ugly once when Alex's dog appeared on an episode and at the end it was revealed that he had to put him down. Need I say more?

I remember the guys going to Jims apartment and he said Gary was in the bedroom. Jim couldn't find the right door, because the whole wall was made up of doors... Hilarious!

Gary the horse! There was a classic scene from this episode where the guys try to explain that the horse was dead when Jim told them how Gary sleeps lol.

I understand from what I always heard was that Gary was originally going to be a regular in the series, but he became a real head case behind the scenes and was always clashing with the producers demanding more money, wanting his own really expensive type of oats brought into his private trailer, among other things. S the network decided to write off Gary the horse IMMEDIATELY making his appearance on the show a strictly one time shot...

This was great! Was that Tony Danza in the front row, with leather jacket and brown hair?
