Currently beating this game on my 7 year old cousin's PS3, he's loving it so far and we're close to beat the last level. Those 50 last tokens are no joke. And the nostalgia is hitting like a truck.

Cyanide Gaming I mean, it’s a possibility but that game has really bad reviews so I don’t think there is an inch of possibility of that being remade. Sadly these games are basically all about marketing. Revenge of the Flying Dutchman wouldn’t have the best marketing. (I could be wrong though.)
Wow. They actually foreshadowed the sequel before it was even made. This game looks super fun. I might buy it. I've played Battle for Bikini Bottom, Revenge of the Flying Dutchman, Creature from the Krusty Krab and Atlantis Squarepantis and I love them.
When I was a young boy, I use to watch SpongeBob SquarePants with my cousins and my aunt, along side Pokemon, and I still love it today. I can't wait to rewatch the series again in the near future.

This was one of my most favorite childhood videogames. I thank Stephen Hillenburg for this. The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie Game should be remastered in his honor. But at least Battle for Bikini Bottom is getting remastered. Hopefully The SpongeBob Movie videogame will be remade eventually.
I had that game, but only the handheld version for my Game Boy Advance. I never have the version for consoles. I never knew what version of the game was like. Hopefully they will make remastered versions of a SpongeBob movie game and revenge of the Flying Dutchman game.

My kid mind couldn't comprehend how to get past that damn Planktopolis level for the longest time. When I finally did figure it out, I was so damn happy. I still have the game, this makes me want to play it again.

Loved this game when I was 5. Never beaten the game but would love to in the future (Also another reason why I couldn't beat the game is because my PS2 had to stay on all night or my progress gets wiped). I just remember all the time I would play this game I always got happy and never felt sad. Now 14 and still love the game to this day
Finding this gem for 5 euro at cex in 2014 and begging my dad for it when i was 4. He finally got it and dusted the ps2 from the attic. I remeber being taught how to use the controls and spending 30 minutes in no cheese. This will always be my most nostalgic game of my life. Thank you heavy iron.

The *most replayed* portion of this whole video is the Toast treasure chest in Shell City Dead Ahead... I can speak for everyone when I say that NO ONE found this one as a kid, we definitely returned as adults to get it

For those wondering, the graphical glitches in "Google Eyes and Smelly Knick Knacks" and "Dennis Strikes Back" can be fixed by modifying a few settings in the emulator. As for the low frame rate, that can only be fixed by using a resolution under 3x native. I can confirm that running those sections at 720p native completely fixes the slowdown.

I found a PS2 for $20 at a second hand shop and bought it. Two days later I got this game. I used to go stay at a night care and the lady had this game and Revenge of the Flying Dutchman.
I was hit with so much nostalgia when I played my own copy and it's one of my top 5 favourite video games. It was also my first Platformer as I had only been playing Pokemon before this.
The hole in my chest now . 26 soon in bought the same house I grew up in from / with my grandparents . I remember the good ole days . When all this was new , live was simple playing ps2 in the back lol.
