Dan, it looks like you're driving a MK2 Focus, they suffer from dodgy instrument clusters, the immobiliser runs through it and cause the car not to start, trying giving the top of the dash a gentle whack and it should come back to life.
Starter motor could be playing up Especially if it happened after you going over a bump. If it happens again try rocking the car or tapping the starter motor
