Like LeAnn Rimes, who came later and was compared to Tanya by the media, she was a sensation because of the maturity of her voice at such a young age. Where I lived we could get only one radio station and it was country so Delta Dawn was on the radio every morning, every afternoon, and every night. Talk about hills and valleys in someone's life. Tanya has had it all, ups, downs and all things in-between. Glad to see she's finally getting the recognition she deserves. Like the the song, it's too late to award someone when they're gone. Tanya, Loretta, Charley Pride and Johnny Rodriguez are some of the only ones left of the old country music stars. Let's award them and reward them while they are still living with us. Look for Johnny's autobiography coming out in May of 2020. He's played with them all including Tanya.

This song cuts deep. I lost my dad almost exactly a year ago. Cancer took him within 2 months of his diagnosis. My dad did so much for our community, his industry, and diesel tech school students, the church was standing room only. So many flowers and plants. So many peoples sentiments left unspoken thinking we would have him for many more years. Hug your loved ones. Tell them why you love them. Never lose that chance.

I Love Tanya. I think she is just about the best female artist of my lifetime. I marvel over my blessings haven seen Tanya perform when she was in her early career. I am talking when she was 15 and 16 and headlining a venue that only the very A list performed in. Tanya’s career has been exceptional since the beginning and it is amazing how she has stepped up to the plate every year of her career and proven exceptional, truly exceptional. Tanya actually had started writing the song many years ago but never finished it as she was being so perfectionist about it. Then when Brandi came along she invited and asked Brandi to help her finish it and so Brandi did.
