AN is a better receiving threat than Sanders was and no worse at blocking than Sanders though he weighs less than Sanders did (IMO). Looking forward to a big year from AN in 2024. :)

Love the breakdown guys, love the show. I think that after breaking down a play w the stopping and starting back up 3 or 4 times y’all should run the play uninterrupted before going on to the next play. Let us see the play w what we were just shown while it’s fresh in our minds. THANKS

As a Bama Fan, I honestly didn’t mind losing Bond after Saban retired. When Niblack went with him - I was sick.
We developed this guy really well out of highschool but didn’t have the consistent OL play to get him the ball. He’s special. Sark will make him a draft pick in the top two rounds.

Amari was a WR at Lakewood HS. He was switched to TE when he got to Bama. That could explain his exceptional speed but lack of size for the position.

I bet he wished he stayed at BAMA!

Amari Niblack is a great athlete. At 231 pounds, it is very difficult for me to view him as a Tight End, though. He's more of a Flex End. Although he does line up attached, he is not nearly a good enough blocker to prevent 250 pound Weakside Defensive Ends from either supporting the run against him, or sacking or pressuring the Quarterback against him.
If Niblack could get to 245 and improve his blocking, with his speed, athleticism, and ball skills, he could be the best Tight End in the nation. He's too small at this point, though. Ja'Tavion Sanders was 245 plus, and he had difficulty being a consistent blocker that benefited Texas in the run game. Tight Ends that start for Texas need to be plus blockers. Texas will consistently have 3 Wide Receivers that are dominant pass catchers, as well as a very good pass catching Running Back out of the backfield.

Sark loves 2 TE formations. It gives the offense versatility when you have two legit pass catchers and one of them being a traditional blocker at the LOS with Gunnar Helm. Sark uses what looks like a pass block but is actually a delayed pass route running for Gunnar which leaves him wide open in the seam for 15-20 yards.
