- Today we talk about and put to the test the 9.51 x 32.26 inch Roskopp Frame Hand Shaped Deck. This board comes on our Reissue concave and was a ton of fun to skate. The longer 14.75 inch wheelbase makes for a comfortable ride while but remaining comfortable for flip tricks. In this video we break down the details on each of the products and why they are great. Then we put Santa Cruz Brand Manager Andrew Cannon to the test with three different challenges. Let us know in the comments below what challenges we should throw in the bins next!

For when the calves tighten up real bad what I'll do is foam roll the hell out of it then put it in a calf compression sleeve for a couple of hours. Would love to have a Theragun but don't have the funds. Digging these shaped boards though especially that it is 9.5" side all across.

Right now the 8.8 Total Dot VX deck with that truck / Wheel / Bearing setup. I basically skate whichever VX deck is out in the boat series. From 8.6-9 they all feel great.

Really dig that shape. Looks to have a little more taper toward the tail than other hand shapes in the past.

Grail of hand plants. Hmmm how about a Smith grab , Tuck Knee then go for a Proper Front side but that may end up ending these cool videos Ha. I’ll be happy with a good old basic hand plant.

We actually talked about that when we were going to originally launch VX but just didnt think it fit with the new tech and didnt want to confuse anyone. That's rad you had one.

I love the wide decks. I have my winkowski. I finally got a chance to drive to my close park at 1 1/2 hour drive away to fuck up my LCL in my knee within 5 minutes. I had to have help out of the bowl and couldn't stand. Gf drove me back home. After an hour the pain went away some for me to hobble and sort of walk but just too painful to walk normally.
NO! I'm so sorry to hear. Take that recovery seriously. I've had two ACL replacements on my left knee and the first time I drank a lot and ate shitty and the second time I was sober and watched my eating and it made all the difference in the world. Good luck!
@@AndrewCannon I'm good. It was a small tear, they don't think I'll need surgery. I just might not be able to return to my usual activities for a couple months.

Just got this deck for my 11 yr old he picked it out (made me proud) it's his 2nd SC board he even picked 60mm slime balls for it! It's more of a cruiser for him he still has his 7.75 SC neon hand deck but he loves this new roskopp. He and I have ridden nothing but SC!! However I did just set up a creature 10" but that's not totally cheating....right
So much fun getting old.

Now are we ever getting a single kick Roskopp target again? I rode the double kick version but it didnt feel right to me. I prefer smaller noses anyway.
We will do some Rob Reissues in the future for sure. We are talking about doing Rob 1-5 at some point. Any color requests?
@@AndrewCannon so like the green ones from a fiew years ago. The taget 3 one from that set is the shape i'm looking for.
From the vintage ones my favorite colors it came in before are the white dip with the florecent colored target (the pink,orange,yellow fade version to be most specific). Also once seen a black dip with florecent target where all the black in the print was printed in white instead. That one is soo nice but only seen it like that once.
But to be more simple. Yellow and pink dips are my allways good

haha, I skate a 14.25 wb so a half an inch is substantial. Plus, this is longer than the majority of our regular wheel bases.
@@AndrewCannon thanks for the explanation. however, a 9.5 wide deck with square tail and graphics that pays homage to the 80s SC graphics makes me want to ride it on vertical terrain. And I want my pool/vert deck with a 15.5 wb... 😎
