Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 Nice reaction and analysis, loving this song with each new listen, the girls love this song too and they couldn't wait to finish the choreo to show some cool dance moves which they did when performing the Black Night April 1st, at PIA Arena MM. Everyone was looking for heavier tracks like Mirror Mirror, MAYA or Believing, me i was looking for this, i love progressive trance and this edm mix is so good. They already got time travelling theme in songs like Awadama Fever, kinda, but this one is more like a challenge rather than just having fun, and also got the connection with this metalverse. Here's some official info: Time Wave (TRANSITION) _The concept of time is like an endless Mobius strip. The past, the future, and the present can exist anywhere on the wave of time. Is the METALVERSE that lies beyond time a maze in which we have wandered into, or is it a destination we must reach?_ This track sounds futuristic and is full of interesting layers that keeps haunting me, isn't the weakest track for me, is among my favorites and the live version got another flavor but we'll have to wait for live proshot, only fancams clips around so far. Anyway thanks once again for this, and here's the lyrics again because the one you saw got a little mistake in the line saying "there isn't and ending to everything", that's the right translation. Kitsune up and see you next time!🦊🤘⏳ Btw, you can check it out the new version of Doki Doki Morning live at Makuhari Messe with watermarked logo probably safe to react, "NLMetal" got this clip. Good reaction. When they teased the short snippets of all the songs in advance of the album being released I was possibly least optimistic about this one, it just didn't feel like it would be my sort of thing at all (I'm just not into electronic dance music). When I heard the full song I was pleasantly surprised and I liked it far more than I had expected, even though this really isn't my style or the sort of thing I might normally listen to ... and it has grown on me more and more each time I've listened to it. Only BABYMETAL can do that to me every time with all the different styles they play or mix in, its weird ... and on those rare occasions when I'm still not sure I know the live version will win me over.🦊
I love babymetals classic music songs. Going back two or three years ago. A very grand delightful 🥰 perfectly performance skills of abilities. Inspiring pure impressive of perfection.
On every Babymetal album there is a song or two that on first listen you're like, "Nah, not for me. Not my style". Then on second listen you're like, "hmm.... maybe not so bad". Then by the 5th listen it becomes your secret guilty pleasure. This song is one of those. There is one more song on the album that fits that category.
The album version vs. live . Always remember that the live will be different and better . There are fancams of it live, not clear footage, but you can tell the difference in sound, and the performance looks great ❤❤❤😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
To me this is the least Babymetal sounding song on this album, yet it's my favorite. I can't put my finger on why exactly. I mean, it is nothing like the type of music I generally like, and it's not typical Babymetal, so it's really hard to explain. The more I listen to it, the more effect it has on me. Something powerful in the music, in Su's voice and her delivery, the emotion I feel. I close my eyes and feel it, pump my fist in the air, and sing TIME WAVE!! at the top of my lungs. I'm even learning the Japanese lyrics, it moved me so much. I can't wait to see this live and feel the power in person. And that snare drum!! I freaking love that snare. I've seen live footage and the guitars are much more prevalent in the live setting. I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, and it may take a few listens to finally "get it". And coming from someone who likes their heavier shit like Catch Me If You Can, Sis Anger, BMC, etc, this song is a huge departure from that. But...I feel it... this song. Like I said, I can't put my finger on it, but yeah... Favorite song.❤
Su & Moa have both said they don’t expect everyone to like everything on the album. That’s ok with them. Thing is with BABYMETAL the album version is very much only half the story. When they perform songs in a live setting they take on a completely different aspect. There are numerous examples in their back catalogue of which, this is only one. ✌️
Nice one, thanks! Still my least favorite off the new album musically BUT I just watched the live performance from PIA Arena MM (Black Night) show and its so good! 🤘🦊
Good reaction! To me, this song reminds me of the 90's. It's definitely one of the more pop/dance songs on the album. My favorite song on the album in "Believing" which I hope you will react to. 🤘🦊🤘
I get the feeling you were expecting to hear something else so you are just thrown off a bit. If you listen to it again I bet you will like it more. While this style isn't my favorite thing, its a song I find easy to get lost in. I almost get the sense of floating through the song.
There are several mistakes in that unofficial lyric video. The whispers are Su, not Moa. The video has "There is an ending to everything," but the official lyrics are "There isn't an ending to everything." Opposite meanings and the official line fits with the rest of the lyrics while the line in that lyric video does not.
I feel this would have been a good song to have had featured Moa as the lead vocal and Su as more of a support vocal We need more Moa vocals, (and now Momo vocals)
BABYMETAL has always been experimental and always been trying out new stuff throughout their (soon...october) 13 year old career. But if you have the chance to listen to this song live, it has a different energy!
i just finish watching the Babymetal Begins The Other One Black Night and dont worry this song live has all the instruments with some really cool guitar parts.
This song I was kinda "meh" about. There were songs that I wasn't crazy about on every Babymetal album, but then when you see it live with the choreo it is far better than you thought it was going to be.
I'm pretty sure that this a nod to their hero/ older "sisters" from Perfume. Except for the chorus, this is 100% a Perfume tune. BTW- I don't care much for Perfume, even though I can hear and see their talent...
To me this is probably the weakest song on the album. That being said, I really enjoy the atmospheric middle part and ending, and I love the whispered "Feel it". I still haven't listened to it on headphones, I would assume that it benefits a lot from that.

Best song on the album. The live version from PIA show in April was incredible.
In concert, this song is played very heavily.
Thank The Fox God for That! I want a lot more Kami Band too!

I saw this song live this morning on Twitch and the choreo is awesome.
This song, to me in my 60's, feels like a very old cover song, and I feel nostalgic. It is very comforting.
👍 👍
Understood.
I like this song. I believe it has its place on the album and fits in well.
Until next time.
いつもベビメタ取り上げてくれて嬉しいDEATH🤘😊
There will be a limited live performance in Japan in August, and I will report it if I win the lottery.
Nice one, thanks!
Still my least favorite off the new album musically BUT I just watched the live performance from PIA Arena MM (Black Night) show and its so good!

Thanks for this reaction, so far only performed ones... so I won't expect to see it on any setlist soon, but who knows.

The song has only been performed live once. I expect it will probably be performed on the upcoming U.S. and European tours.

You ask in the thumbnail if there is too much synth. The answer is no.

This album has a lot of Edm underlying, so obviously If you are not AN Edm fan you wouldn't like much the more dancy ones 😂
And this is for a Japanese audience, not a Western one...
For both
