I agree with the thumbs up a good movie I've been there with my second husband he was a perfect guy until the ring went on my finger and the first week of our marriage he pushed me into a brick wall breaking my nose when I was on the ground he stood on my leg with his work boots i was so frightened of him and it took me 5.years to get rid of him i think i was lucky to come out of the relationship alive .

Dear god I'm glad you got out. 5 yrs must have been agony. I was in for 25 before I finally left. I will never marry again or share my home. I am jaded but I'm also thrilled with my free life. Best to you always. May this find you healthy and strong

That baby won't be fine. My earliest memories are of my drunk father screaming and cursing at and beating my mother. My mother once took me and went to stay
with my grandmother (her mother) After a few days grandma told my mom to go home and patch up her marriage, saying that I need a father. Even now at 62 years old I have severe emotional problems as a result of witnessing the abuse

Domestic violence often ends up in murder. U can't change people . A violent, controlling, man, will always repeat the same ,negative behavior. A well done movie.

Who was the guy in the wheel chair at the end? His name was Chris I Think, was it Jown's partner? Yes these stories are true, it's vicious circle, husband is mean to wife, cops get involved then husband is more mad and determined to show his wife who's boss, beats her up worse, she don't want to press charged again bc she fears for her life and the circle never ends till someone possible ends up dead. It all starts with WHY a man is abusive.
Not bad but nothing spectacular if you need to pass time. Informative for those who need to learn about the dangers of toxic masculinity and patriarchy still prevalent in many cultures.

riveting. this excellent movie should be yet another warning to all who try to survive abusers. i have been there also and barely escaped after attempts
to injure me and finally to strangle me. my baby woke up and looked directly into her fathers eyes without blinking. he seemed to come out of a trance,
blinking his eyes and let go of me just as i knew i must start fighting for the life of my 18 month old daughter and myself. we were able to escape with
much planning, and the help of people i trusted. my daughter is 24 years old and i am 70. i am most grateful to have been able to raise sarah without
fear and trauma and for us both to be here. please take care of yourselves, abusers do not change no matter how often they try to convince their target
they have changed or love them. no one who loves EVER lays their hands in violence on anyone. listen to these warnings..a great piece of work and acting.. it will take all the courage you did not know you have, no excuses for abusers..there are no justifications for their cruel actions against you.

There's a saying "like father like son". The father mentioned his wife was the same - it's a shame the son didn't learn from it. Where in one's wedding vows does it say that domestic abuse is what a person signs up for. The excuses never change and no one ever presses charges. At least the film shows it can happen to both men & women and there is help out there. The cops wanted to reach out to the victims but is it ethical to get involved with them.

l would not let a abusive woman stay at my place his wife doesnt understand then shes making breakfast an playing music dont take it for granted if your in a safe place, i was in that same situation with my ex, then his cousins girlfriend comes over running for her life an had to go out the back door.
