Whoever came up with this idea, I love it! Two charming, likable, experienced football legends commentating games, playing off each other with their great chemistry, while doing things that announcers aren't able to do. Love it.
It's not just that they are legendary QB's, it's that they are also brothers who are sons of a great QB. They have a rhythm no one else could match. They've been talking football since they were old enough to pronounce the word
It would be 100 times better without four guests on every week of the regular season, all they do is talk over Payton and Eli and it gets really awkward
It was meant to be ever since they were born. All they had to do was win a couple of superbowls each

I could listen to peyton and eli call every single game of the season and not get bored of it. These guys need more airtime. Serious airtime. They can bring in a lot of new viewers not being stuck on ESPN 2

Seeing Ray just get more and more depressed by the Eagles' defense was sad and funny. He got to a point where he didn't want to look at the screen anymore the tackling was so bad.

I quite like his input.. he is basically saying that coaches are outsmarting themselves in modern league - yeah when everything is going well and your threats are well established, sure you can go ahead and scheme and change the game so the opponent can't adapt but if things aren't going well you should default to just playing ball - run the ball on offense, just have your linemen go at them on defense - don't already scheme when you don't have to, your just keeping your team from establishing rhythm, then even basic plays go awry - you give up that safety, your zone defense just gets picked apart because you don't know who's dropping...just keep it simple at the get-go and scheme if it doesn't work not the other way around
I like seeing the Bucs win because of Baker. Despite the change of coordinators etc, he played very well. In the end gets moved and even when was at the rams he did good, they had a winning season this year and in this game they showed out. Bakers knows anything can happen and has matured more so, so I’m excited to see what they cn do.
Baker has 2 modes: Good and Bad. When he was in Carolina, Bad Baker usually showed out. Credit to the coaches at TB to get him to stick to "Good Baker" mode most of this season.
This is revenge for what they did to us in the regular season
It's also the 2nd time in 4 years the Bucs sent the Eagles to their off-season at home.
I knew Siriani lost the team a few weeks ago but man… they literally did not want to be there. The entire team is a physical embodiment of losing a locker room. Sheesh

Absolutely terrific format. They don’t yell at you. You can actually watch the plays and then hear their comment before and after. So superior to the standard broadcast. I’ve gotten where I just turned the sound down on the other games.

Would have to pay them a lot more. I don’t think they will travel to the stadiums for free. A lot easier to sit in your basement and basically do a podcast.
The number of meetings and interviews announcers have to do throughout the week, leading to the game is insane. I think they much prefer doing what they are doing.
I don't see why anyone would want that. This is miles better than them just sitting in the booth offscreen.
If that happens we wouldn't be able to get awesome people like Ray Lewis, Snoop Dogg, Will Ferell, etc on with them each week.
I'm glad they started this and look forward to watching more of it next season.

I think what elevates this setup so much is their experience with things like SNL and TV. They are both certified entertainers and it's always fun watching them together and how knowledgeable they are.

Well when you're in the same division as the Commanders and the Giants, it's like spotting the Eagles and the Cowboys 3 or 4 games each. Your record looks better than your team actually is when you can beat up on a pair of much worse teams regularly.

I love the Mannings, but even they have their limits. They wouldn't be able to handle Redzone.
Redzone requires you to go 7 hours straight- start to finish, no commercials. You don't have time to throughly break down plays. And, your crew is helping you keep up and manage multiple games all at once. You definitely don't have time to have special guests. I'm still amazed at how Scott Henson is able to do it so well.
redzones what too much chaos that i think they just wouldnt have fun theyd be mid conversation or mid demonstration and the game can change and thatd kinda ruin the flow of the program
