      I know what you're trying to imply, but it only reveals your ignorance of how these tests work.
      First of all, some DNA tests manage to cover more SNPs than others.
      Second, most estimators have a hard time distinguishing Mesoamerican, Inuit and Siberian ancestry from eachother since there's an overlap.
      I score 2% Amerindian, but I'm from Iraq and no one in my family has been to North or South America.
      In reality, it's Iron Age Scythian ancestry. They had significant SIberian admixture.
      Nearly all of Lucas grandparents had Amerindian ancestry according to the tests.
      The only thing noteworthy is that Lucas' result didn't show any Sub-Saharan African DNA.
      Meanwhile he's the only mulattoo-looking one in the family.
      I suspect that his result had the lowest SNP coverage and it didn't pick up any Sub-Saharan alleles as a result. This happens sometimes, even if all the tests were done by MyHeritage.

    • @allisonsp3044
      @allisonsp3044 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      É parte do DNA indígena que foi interpretado errôneamente como parte do DNA Inuit, repare que o MyHeritage não tem uma base de dados sólida e não tem precisão para reconhecer o DNA de nativos das Américas, a própria categoria "meso-americano e andino" por exemplo pode ser de etnias amazônicas, tupis, macro-jê, guaranis, goitacá, goyaz, etc, que foram mal interpretadas, é pouco provável que um brasileiro tenha DNA andino, o mesmo se aplica ao Inuit. Esses testes não têm como ser precisos, pois é impossível saber exatamente a origem étnica de alguém pelo DNA, o teste de DNA só vai chegar a uma estimativa comparando os seus genes com o de diferentes populações e fazer uma interpretação baseada em alguns possíveis fatores. Muitas vezes o DNA indígena é até interpretado como DNA asiático nesses testes, já que asiáticos e nativos das américas compartilham um DNA parecido.

      @ggvmar455 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A porcentagem balcânica é facilmente explicada se ela tem descendência europeia. Durante muitos impérios os povos dessa região foram escravizados e levados para diversas regiões da europa, principalmente Iberia. Então, é completamente normal que muitos espanhóis, italianos, portugueses, franceses etc tenham uma porcentagem balcânica em seus DNA’s. 👍

      Porcentagem balcânica pode ser ascendência italiana no Vêneto ou regiões próximas, que é relativamente comum em algumas partes do Brasil. Mas depende muito da porcentagem.
      Pode ser também Áustria ou Baviera, que são regiões próximas.
      Mas se a porcentagem for baixa, não é necessariamente indicativo de ter ancestrais recentes da região.

    You maternal grandparents don't have Irish/Welsh/Scottish. So your grandmother has some explaining to do, especially since your mother also isn't part Nigerian.

    • @scully8950
      @scully8950 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's not how it works. You don't inherit all of your genetic makeup from your parents in the same way, so you may see something that was in them too but that is seen differently in you because you inherited it in different amounts. Also these tests are constantly changing because they are based on the genetic similarities between people living in a certain place, they have nothing really scientific about determining where your ancestors come from, because people are constantly moving around the world. The genetic diversity between one person and another is so small that it is enough for you to inherit something in an inferior or superior way that completely changes what appears to be your origins.
      Furthermore there is nothing to explain, these tests primarily determine the genetic link between family members, so they always tell you if you are related to someone who has done the same type of test and your degree of kinship with them. The guy posted all these tests precisely because all of them are truly related as they claim and to show their genetic similarity and diversity.

      It's probably included in the "Mesoamerican and Andean" percentages, as the MH's data on indigenous people still seems somewhat lacking. Brazilians are not descended from Andeans, the correct thing would be to descend from the Tupi-Guarani people who lived in the east and north of South America, but they still can't separate these groups.
