Samoa Agreement - The Truth About The Controversial LGBTQ Agreement - Lawmakers Ask Tinubu To Suspended It
The House of Representatives on Tuesday called on the Federal Government to suspend the implementation of the Samoa Agreement until all controversial clauses are clearly defined to ensure they do not violate any law in Nigeria. The House also mandated the Committees on National Planning and Economic Development, Justice, Treaties, Protocol and Agreements to interface on the matter. This followed the adoption of a motion by the Deputy Minority Leader, Aliyu Madaki, and 88 others, at Tuesday’s plenary, calling attention to some allegedly offensive clauses in the agreement.
According to Madaki, in his lead debate, the agreement purportedly promotes LGBT rights, which are against extant laws in the country. He said that the implementation of the agreement is a supremacy Clause, and thus violates Nigeria’s sovereignty.

They should allow the investigation to finish first, secondly if they didn't do something about the cost of living then they should be ready to face the GEN Z

You can't see his face because you people sit so far apart, the place is as big as a stadium! Gives room for constant movement and distractions.

In EU countries, homosexuality is part of their definition for "human rights". Sexual and gender equality simply include LGTBQ. Government simply signed to promote sexual and gender equality and human rights under EU perspectives. Nigerians are smart people.

If the members of the House of Representative supporting the motion of Hon Aniyu have not review the actual agreement but relying on comments made by the general public, they are not only misleading members of the house but also the general public. It is annoying and very isolated to hear the Honorable member, mention, guy, lesbians, LGBQ, an animalism, etc. terms that are no where to be found in the Agreement itself. If the members of the house are not satisfied with the explanation given by the government to the Nigerian public all they need to do is call for more explanation by the parties that signed the agreement. Forty-eight countries in Africa were involved in this agreement are any one the country's parliament or the general public worried about the so called hidden clauses? It is risky to assume or based arguments on personal interpretation of an agreement. Is the national assembly members saying that the executive branch of the government do not have adequate lawyers to review international agreement before signing? While being a member of the house of representative especially in Nigeria does not make you a lawyer or expert in law, it helps to obtain clarification from lawyers before criticizing a legal statement. Debating on this issue in all the Nigerian media and now the house of representative really set Nigeria below in terms of awareness amongst the 79 countries that signed this agreement.

This shows that you are speculating. If actually read it like I was privileged to, you will know that it needs to be canceled
