Either way, I feel like It should have been on this iceberg. I believe it was a more than popular enough rumor to at least have been mentioned on this iceberg.
Although I'm not entirely sure if this is true, I've been told by a lot of people that the reason why the mid seasons were so graphic was because nickelodeon had moved a lot of storyboard artists who previously worked on ren and stimpy to SpongeBob
Squidward turning into a Snail was REAL! I still remember how Squidward was screaming and terrified while transforming. Idk why they say it’s not true but they probably removed it bc it was horrifying. I’m still scarred by it to this day.
The Bikini Atoll fact became more crazy as time went on, idk exactly when but nickelodeon did this live quiz thingy where you could sign in to the app and answer live questions that would pop up during the show, I do believe that one of the questions said "What real life island is Bikini bottom located under?" and they had Bikini Atoll listed there and it actually ended up being the right answer.

16:11 For the record, Mr. Krabs isn't saying "any porn in the store", he is saying "any port in the store". They're probably referencing the saying "any port in the storm", which is apparently a sailor saying meaning "when you're in trouble, any way out is a good way out", which checks our since he was a sailor.
I watched "Spongebob in Randomland" when it first aired, and that red mist jumpscare terrified the sh*t out of me. The haunting imagery of Squidward's shadowy face is still burned into my mind to this day.

5:34 YES although I wasn’t raised in iran, the Persian dub is by far my favorite way to watch spongebob, it’s not only hilarious but the translation of some certain phrases are just down right iconic. I grew up watching spongebob in English but the Persian dub is just as elite
It's creepy how his voice gets less energetic every Layer, showing its creepiness and its darkness. Edit: 2 years later, this comment is awful, how is SpongeBob creepy and dark?
He talks about how we dont know whether or not bikini bottom is just 1 town or a nation and how "we will never know" but there are multiple episodes of spongebob going to other towns/cities and the same goes for squidward. There was even another episode where krabs and them go to another city very far away to like either sell krabby patties or watch a concert I cant remember which.
just because there are other cities doesnt mean that we know if its a town or a nation, bikini bottom is a town yes but if there is a national anthem then that implies all the cities are within the bikini bottom nation, however some cities or states have "national anthems" too so we still dont know if bikini bottom is a nation or just 1 town, other towns existing has nothing to do with that?
I really liked that explanation of “Squidward is a talented artist”. I think Artist Unknown is a good example of this, with Spongebob in Squidward’s art class drawing a realistic head first-try, erasing it to get a perfect model of the head, and then erasing that for a perfect circle.
From what I remember on a wiki, red mist was made by an animator to air over fear of a krabby patty, the first episode of season 4, the strangler was the last episode of season 3, the last episode Stephen worked on. So red mist was made by a new animator of the show, this adds to the creep factor of red mist.
Another weird thing about the Iranian Spongebob dubs is that one of the dubs created a music video using unrelated footage of Spongebob and Patrick fighting and used the clips to make a propaganda video for the Iranian military telling young kids to join the military. I tried to find a link to it but I wasn't able to, I do recall seeing it in the comments of the original upload of the Spongebob in Tehran video.
Idk if anyone else remembers this but I had a 12 episode. DVD, and the episode where spongebob writes an essay had 2 deleted scenes put back in. One where Patrick is putting sunscreen on sandy, and another of a black and white car crash. Weird
Even if it's not that dark comic where Pearl's parents are killed by whalers, I think it would be nice to see an episode where Mr. Krabs adopts Pearl as a young man. Being an enlisted sailor in his younger years (which I will assume is tantamount to being a regular soldier in our world, cause you know... underwater), he could've easily found an orphaned whale while on deployment and decided to take her in. It's stated in the training episode that Mr. Krabs fell into a deep depression after he returned to civilian life from an unnamed war, so maybe he adopted an orphaned child from that war as a way of finding closure? Just my own idea.

Although I'm not entirely sure if this is true, I've been told by a lot of people that the reason why the mid seasons were so graphic was because nickelodeon had moved a lot of storyboard artists who previously worked on ren and stimpy to SpongeBob
I've heard that too actually!

It's also an illicit reference to the mentality of getting any lay you can come by.

Actually in the episode "selling out", during Mr. Krabs's musical number, he looks through an old photo album showing him raising pearl from when she was a baby, so more than likely he adopted her when she was young
Exactly! I was hoping when I went to the comments, someone would point it out. The "sugar daddy" theory makes no sense lol.
If you watch the episode where plankton plans a jailbreak, you’ll notice there is a male whale that looks exaclty like pearl. Could be that her father was in prison and something happened to the mother??

@@NegaPosiminusplus that's fine we all have our theories but I'll stick to mine and there's many possible reasons why that is there

5:34 YES although I wasn’t raised in iran, the Persian dub is by far my favorite way to watch spongebob, it’s not only hilarious but the translation of some certain phrases are just down right iconic. I grew up watching spongebob in English but the Persian dub is just as elite

He talks about how we dont know whether or not bikini bottom is just 1 town or a nation and how "we will never know" but there are multiple episodes of spongebob going to other towns/cities and the same goes for squidward. There was even another episode where krabs and them go to another city very far away to like either sell krabby patties or watch a concert I cant remember which.
just because there are other cities doesnt mean that we know if its a town or a nation, bikini bottom is a town yes but if there is a national anthem then that implies all the cities are within the bikini bottom nation, however some cities or states have "national anthems" too so we still dont know if bikini bottom is a nation or just 1 town, other towns existing has nothing to do with that?
i like to think that krabby patties are probably made with some type of algae since many types of sea creatures love to eat algae

I've scoured the comments looking for this, but do people not remember that mr Krabs found pearl abandoned and took her in to raise her?
Ive only seen the fan comic abt it
I wish that was cannon
The late Stephen Hillenburg knows that fan theories can be the only canon for finding answers in the show.
