Jackie Buono seems just disappear from any channel, social, or brand endorser (NI, Secret Lab, Roli etc...). It is truly a mystery, especially from such a precise, talent and meticulous person, to disappear like this without giving any communication, and no family member who can communicate anything on one his social channel. The most recent interaction seems to be on his Instagram page on October 25, 2023.
As a guitarist for the last 15 years who's constantly dabbling with audio production and effects...I cannot overstate how insanely impressive making music like this is. The timing, memorization, muscle memory, and talent all working together at the same time here is just...astounding. I literally can't imagine how many hours of prep went into this one song. It should be impossible for one person to create this alone in a live setting and until very recently, it was. This is genuinely the future of music here, folks. This is what performances in space stations will look like. Society just hasn't caught up yet.

Lol at somebody telling others how they should/shouldn’t enjoy music 😂 Music is as varied as humans are. Some music is designed to make people laugh. Some to relax you, or help you get the rage out. Some to make you tap your foot and feel amazed. Music can be ANY sound expressed or perceived by people, in my opinion. The patter of rain, the thunderous bass notes of a powerful speech, or the sound of dial-up internet. If Neon Vines heard THIS in her mind, and brought it to reality in a live performance, then she is as much an artist as anybody else I could mention.

Real answer here. I don't think the people interested in this type of music are interested in the athletic ability to play that music. I don't think a large part of her target audience knows, or cares, what she is doing, and it's a damn shame.
Do you see Jackie Buono's gear? About $100k worth of hardware has floated through her studio over the last few years as she keeps upgrading over and over again. I'd say that's a good level of success. I think she has moved on though. No new videos in over a year.
Cuz this music sucks. This is good for background stuff.. to be famous you need a personality and looks and pop or original great songs. Shes the producer type.
I remember watching some of Neon Vines' performances approximately two years back and being confused as to why she wasn't more well known. First one I saw was Give It Up, which I thought was awesome. It's been super cool to see her start to get more recognition because her performances are so deserving of it.
People listening and making rich people who without autotune are not even capable of sounding decent, and a beastly talent like this is practically ignored, I have been checking in periodically for 2 years to see if there is more content. It saddens me deeply that people like her don't get the recognition they deserve.

Nowhere does she publish where she will perform. I am guessing she no longer needs to promote the equipment she uses on her youtube videos, having a better deal. She may also be doing studio work for major performers. She is incredibly talented!

Just last night I watched this, and realised I have to be the performer/musician, especially on a video based platform! Awesome track and even better performance! Quick question, what's the benefit you're finding out of using a combo of the Push 2 and the Akai? Just to prevent having to dive through pages on the push to get to where you need to be?
Thanks so much!! I find drums a lot easier to manage on the MPC. Pad mutes are a lot easier to manage (taking just the kick out for example). I have the MPC synced to Ableton via Ableton link so they’re tempo-synced, and then I’m feeding the stereo output of the MPC into my interface, and into an audio track in Ableton. Just a workflow preference :) It’s easier to always have drums right there rather than having to continually go back to the drum track on the Push
@@NeonVines Ah awesome. That sounds like a great way to work and organise that I hadn't considered. I don't do live performance stuff (yet!) so things like pad muting on the fly and all that, hadn't occured to me. Thanks for the answer, take care!

The writing, production, mixing, instrumentation, engineering, PERFORMING, soloing, conducting, and maintaining a stage presence while doing it... wtf. Save some talent for the rest of us.

I know you are being funny, but this comment relates to so many people that I feel the need to say this. Because it may be motivating to others, but me as well. Need to set timelines on them goals my friend. Oh, and also meet them. Complete a song in one week is a good goal. That goal should naturally create restraints that should keep ya on track because we all know musical ideas lead to other musical ideas that lead to others and so on. Anyone who is a novelty junky and is a musician has a really difficult time completing anything. Then find a community of people that you trust to be honest with you and provide constructive feed back, post your one week project, and then rinse and repeat. Essentially practicing finishing projects.
Workflow problems are a beast of there own .... Use the Ableton set markers so you can label each part of your song and create the track outline before you even start with the music. Then you will have purpose with each section and how it moves into the next ...for example Intro/verse 1/chorus 1 /verse 2/ chorus 2/ bridge/ chorus 3 /Outro.
She is both beautiful and incredibly talented. There is simply no debate about this. Full stop. However, these aren't songs that people will be singing in 10 or 20 years. i.e., AC/DC, Elton John, The Eagles. When her music matures to the point that it has just as much soul as technical skill...she's going to be a super star. With that said, she has more talent in her pinky than most of us will have in our entire live's. Bravo, young lady! Rock on!

@@TheWhiteheadhouse for sure, I for one am going to incorporate more 'performance' as I admit I spent so long coming up with it and rushing to post, but it's humbling this. Just last night I watched this, and realised I have to be the performer/musician, especially on a video based platform! It's too basic in my opinion to just twist the dials, I mean it's just bringing that live feeling to it again and breathing life into that otherwise very automated feel

Quick question, what's the benefit you're finding out of using a combo of the Push 2 and the Akai? Just to prevent having to dive through pages on the push to get to where you need to be?
Thanks so much!! I find drums a lot easier to manage on the MPC. Pad mutes are a lot easier to manage (taking just the kick out for example). I have the MPC synced to Ableton via Ableton link so they’re tempo-synced, and then I’m feeding the stereo output of the MPC into my interface, and into an audio track in Ableton. Just a workflow preference :) It’s easier to always have drums right there rather than having to continually go back to the drum track on the Push
@@NeonVines Ah awesome. That sounds like a great way to work and organise that I hadn't considered. I don't do live performance stuff (yet!) so things like pad muting on the fly and all that, hadn't occured to me.

I know you are being funny, but this comment relates to so many people that I feel the need to say this. Because it may be motivating to others, but me as well.
Need to set timelines on them goals my friend. Oh, and also meet them. Complete a song in one week is a good goal. That goal should naturally create restraints that should keep ya on track because we all know musical ideas lead to other musical ideas that lead to others and so on. Anyone who is a novelty junky and is a musician has a really difficult time completing anything.
Then find a community of people that you trust to be honest with you and provide constructive feed back, post your one week project, and then rinse and repeat. Essentially practicing finishing projects.

Workflow problems are a beast of there own .... Use the Ableton set markers so you can label each part of your song and create the track outline before you even start with the music. Then you will have purpose with each section and how it moves into the next ...for example Intro/verse 1/chorus 1 /verse 2/ chorus 2/ bridge/ chorus 3 /Outro.
