Just bought this today. Jomashop tester 19.99! After taxes and shipping it was like 29 dollars and some change. The notes is what made me buy it. I love all the notes in it. I hope I like it.
Hello, Sarah, my name is Christian O, I find your reviews extremely informative and pleasantly done...another reviewer says this fragrance lasted 3-5 hours but a decent freshie...But I chose Historic Olmeda over this one for a few dollars more and I can tell you HISTORIC OLMEDA is a BEAST MODE. but that is for me. So I had seen smelly cat review and he said Historic lasted 3 days on his shirt. And the 9am lasted 5 hours.
Thanks! I base it on comments and when I get them. This one surprised me but now I need to try the Olemeda fragrance because that sounds even better! I appreciate the suggestion 🙏🏼
I get like a solid 7 hour's that I still can smell it off my skin then maybe a hour or two that it's a very close skin scent. ( my skin soaks up fragrances immediately! ) it's a nice bright and citrus opening for awhile then on my skin I get a sweeter version of bleu de channel edp then there's like a bit of patchouli with the sweetness in the dark dry down, I think it's a good year round all purpose mass appealing fragrance.
Got mine a couple weeks ago. Just getting back into fragrances about two months now. And damn. I had no idea of clones. My fragrance buying stopped back in the day with aqua di gio being my past and favorite at the time. Coming back 10 yrs later. Wow the clones are killing Me and my pockets😊
Blind bought this recently and was presently surprised. Performance and longevity is great. My bottle was defective however. The sprayer stem doesn't reach the bottom of the bottle. As a result, about an 8th of the fragrance cannot be used. No regrets on the purchase. Will definitely get more use of it during the warmer months.
I have no clue what the people were smoking that said it smelled like Tygar or Afternoon Swim, but it's no where close to either of those. I get Bleu de Chanel in the opening and then immediately turns to Y EDP and Dylan Blue, but it's definitely not decently close to any of those 3. Like you said, smells good, easy to wear, has some sweetness and decent longevity. I just got a BNIB bottle off of eBay for $30, and I'd say I got slightly more than my money's worth. Things like Dylan Blue, Versace Pour Homme, or even CDNIM Iconic are much better buys for only slightly more money, and if you've got the extra cash, I'd say to step up to any of the YSL Y line for increased performance and versatility. Appreciate the review, Sarah!
Great review as always Sarah. You said this would probably be your number one pick for outdoor events as of now, would DEFINITELY be interested in some of your others in that category for sure. Thanks as always for putting the time in 👍👍
Unfortunately, I am one of those reviewers that get 4 hours max. It's not bad for the money but just uninspired I suppose. Would have loved a clone of afternoon swim.
I agree- afternoon swim on a budget is what I was hoping for. This is okay, but personal preference- not exactly my style. You should try Al Ameed if you haven't (Lattafa). I think it's more complex and just a better wear overall. Also- am I the only one that's getting this much performance because a few others have mentioned that? That's so weird...
Hello Sarah, you say this one is sweet, but i guess not as sweet as 9PM as you recommend it for summer. How can you compare its sweetness to YSL Y EDP or Dylan Blue which i consider the sweetest among blue scents. Hoped it has more incense to make it more interesting, I'm still hoping to put my fingers on it soon, still not available in Europe
@@GlamFinds I'm almost certain I'm gonna like it anyways, but as you said it is shame they didn't use more dark notes, especially it is called 9PM dive, not 9AM dive ;) i actually really appreciate OG 9AM (they call it female, i find it unisex leaning masculine) - pretty sweet but very like the soda fizziness :)
been rockin' Lattafa Pride- Wajood this week......LOVE it !!!...fresh..??..yet deep spicy.....??...not all the way a "blue" fragrance..??....not sweet IMO....??....Clone of...???...not sure...yet. ...I also get green/chypre aromatic too. It seems to be complex..IMO.
I hated the opening of that one lol I should have given it some time but the cap came broken so I took that as a sign. Al Ameed is still my favorite lattafa by far!
If this one is a tad too sweet for you, Lattafa's Asad is similar to Bleu de Chanel with a touch more sweetness, but nothing as sweet as the original 9pm.
@@JohnC0356 you want to know what's worse? I was wearing Asad when I wrote that brain fart of a reply. I had 2 thoughts going on at the time. 1. I'm not much of a fan of Bleu de Chanel. 2. I'm not real big on Savage either but Asad sweetens it up a tad.
I just received mine. The mid, which some reviewers have compared to Dylan blue, to me, it smells like Armaf’s hunter intense which is a mix of sauvage and invictus. Def. Not what I had expected even with all the reviews. No where near a BDC/Tygar/Afternoon swim type of fresh citrus. Hoping the dry down changes. Been rocking LV imagination and afternoon swim. This one, although good, feels basic and jus mehh. Good for a gym or running errands if you’re starting to get into the fragrance game. Can’t see me reaching much for this. Doesn’t have the “it” factor to me.
Hi Sarah! I’m a new subscriber to your channel. I’m just now starting to get back into perfumes… So Afnan and Lattafa perfumes are definitely new to me. Of course, I have to blind buy them so it’s hard to tell. I bought Lattafa Pure Musk and Lattafa Opulent musk and they both aren’t my style at all. As a matter of fact Opulent musk kinda smells like bug spray. Can you recommend any Afnan and/ or Lattafa that are super fruity without heavy middle eastern notes? I’d love to try one that wows me so I can continue trying them at least. Just bummed that neither of them worked. I will also be watching many of your other vids as well. Thanks in advance for your help. 🙏🏼😇
@@GlamFinds No, the only middle eastern ones I have tried are the 2 from Lattafa (Opulent Musk & Pure Musk) and then I have tried one from Ajmal called Sacrifice which was decent but still not my cup of tea. They said the Sacrifice was supposed to be an Alien dupe. Not sure if it is an exact dupe as I have never smelled the original Alien. What is 9 am Pour Femme like? Have you tried any Ajmal perfumes that were stunners? How about Afnan? TFS again. 😇🙏🏼

People saying Afnan 9AM Dive smells like Tygar: Afnan Turathi Blue: "Am I a joke to you?" In all seriousness, I've been looking forward to this one since I saw Joy Amin buy it at a convention a million years ago and I couldn't find a way to import it, and I'm glad to see everyone likes it. This showed up on Fragrancebuy a day after I went on a huge spree, so I think I'm going to probably buy it sooner or later, but I'm trying to hold off since I bought like 18 bottles this month like a maniac. I got some great pick ups, but I'm kicking myself that I didn't wait like a day before doing it.
@@GlamFinds yeah, nothing I heard made it sound like it was anything at all like Turathi Blue or Tygar. I was a little confused when people were saying that, because Joy is usually spot on and he had his hands on this long before anyone. Still, I threw in Rochas L'omme Aromatic Touch into my cart for the free shipping, and I definitely would have grabbed Dive over that probably.
@@GlamFinds I gave it a wear, it's really solid for the price, you can't be mad at it, but I think your appreciation of it will depend on how much you like the original. It's the original with green touches around the edges. There's nothing synthetic about it, it lasts a good six hours, but at the end of the day it's just fine. Not mind blowing or anything, but there's nothing wrong with it.
Middle eastern fragrances take a few sprays to open up, let it sit for a month, spray twice every two weeks, shake gently, and at the end of that month you'll have it lasting well over 7+ hours and the smell changes too, it becomes smoother and lingers a lot more in the air
