In other tellings of Medusa's story Medusa was a maiden of Athena's temple, Poseidon pushed his advances but she refused as she had to be pure. He got tired of actually trying and decided to rape her, she fled to the temple hoping Athena would help but she didn't because Medusa had better hair. Anyways Athena then cursed Medusa and turned her into a monster, people would come to claim her as a trophy and she turned them to stone. After Perseus killed her, Poseidon's child which was inside her burst from her neck, the winged horse Pegasus, let's not question why it was a horse
That was written later on by someone trying to express that women have feelings as well the real myth is that Medusa is one fo the 3 gorgon's that existed before humans

My daughter is reading this story n listening to it being read. She is dyslexic n she inherited it from me. She is in 4th grade. I listened so if she needs help I can help her
