@@PosthumanKindergarten That reminds me of a time when there was a strong storm outside and the power line on the pole broke (the neutral), so the star point was shifted (we have 3 phase power in Europe 400V), and instead of 230 volts, we were getting like probably 300+ volts in our house, and some appliances were destroyed because of that, and the electrical company didn't even want to pay, they just said, oh, well someone didn't connect the cable on the pole properly
@@Alexelectricalengineering that's more or less what happened to me, (i'm italian BTW), they didn't admit anything but apparently they put a phase of the 3 phases on our neutral during maintenance, and the 3 phases are basically independent from single phase, so we got random voltages during like an hour, ranging from 0V to more than 400 (casual 180 degrees), i was stupid and waited for the voltage to stabilize cos it was ridiculously low and fluctuating and didn't flip off the main switch.... yeah... it costed us the board of a washing machine, a PC monitor, a pair of cellphone chargers and a neighbor had thousands of € of damage cos it broke his electric stair climber (the one for disabled people)... the guys that changed the washing machine board (i was stupid again cos i could fix it myself (it was just an exploded MOV and a blown track)) said that there's no hope that the electric company pays for the damage
That's really sad, in my case I was able to fix two of the appliances, an old HiFi that was just a fuse (because it has a classical transformer), and a VCR player it was just the main smoothing capacitor. If I remember right, I had to throw away a laptop charger, a set of nice speakers, and a circuit protector power strip.
From what i can see you use a 16 amps 240V input, if the breaker goes down there is to safe the wires in the wall burning your house down. You need a higher capacity input for that transformer.

Absolutely agree!!!! Unfortunately after a few arcs the circuit breaker is tripping 😢, it's like 50A on a K16 circuit breaker. Thanks for watching!

Oh and please be careful. Transformers are deadly and that isolation on it will probably not help.
