They got one of these things (not sure if is this one) at one of the schools I work. It's pretty cool. Students show their faces and get their attendance for the day. But not all stuents are registered because, of course, it's public school in Brazil and they didn't bother to register everyone (schools here have all sorts of high tech underused shenanigans, but don't have fans in the classrooms or a xerox machine that actually work).
