There is a lot of hype going on but as another channel mentioned, because this is based on an existing multi modal LLM it will upgrade it’s capacity every time a new and improved version of the AI is released.
The world is not designed for robots. Now it is necessary to adapt it to live with humans. There are two very opposite ways to create robotics. One is to create humanoid robots that adapt to the human environment and the other is to create humans with robotic technology that adapt to technology. I'm not quite buying this demo. looks too fake based on the "HQ" video and convenient angles and the humans 'backing up' to let it work. too cinematic and CGI looking. gonna need better angles or different human interaction.
In the first video, when giving an apple from a robot hand to a person, the person's hand moves along the robot hand at the end to receive the apple, but that scene does not appear in the later enlarged screen. Isn't it the same screen?
When asked how do you think you did, the bot says "I think, I think I did pretty well" like a human. Why at that time and really why at all. I can't help but think someone off camera is doing the talking.
