A sci-fi themed hack consisting of 4 worlds with 16 levels in total. Mario has been erroneously teleported to an alien planet and needs to find his spaceship to get back home. The hack is of medium-hard difficulty and is mostly recommended to people who have already mastered the original SMB1. Some levels require you to go into the right pipe, walk through the right door, or hit the right vine to finish.

You had me with that Genesis/Mega Drive _Alien 3_ OST cover in the underground levels.
So happy to hear new music in the original SMB. Why a lot of romhackers almost never touch music?
Because music composition is a completely different skill set.

The title of this rom hack needs work tho .. instead of Astral they should've called it Super Mario in Astral world
@@enzof_ranciscoTotally agree. Luigi's Ghost House came out recently, I hope you've checked that one out. 26 (I think) floors of a haunted mansion with Luigi using SMB2 JP physics. Super difficult, but very addicting.
I like the Alien 3 Genesis music!
That stage theme kinda sounds like the Mission Impossible theme.
This is some of the most kickass NES music I've ever heard. And why does the CVIII level clear music sound so right even though it's completely out of place? lol
Such is the brilliance of Castlevania's music. It has such a diverse ability to be used in everything from Super Mario Brothers to Metroid hacks and beyond.
The yellow added to Mario's sprite on his overalls and shirt looks great! I'd love to see what Luigi looks like for this hack!! :D

This has a really great aesthetic and the sound remixes are pretty cool, but I feel like the level design is a bit too kaizo for my mediocre prowess at video games.

The title screen and music are very good (the music reminded me of Zen Intergalactic Ninja).
I wish it wasn’t a hack of Mario, but it’s own game.
Or at least they should’ve used Metroid as a base game instead.

But wouldn't this qualify as a Lost Levels hack, since it uses stuff found only in that game, like upside-down/red Piranhas?

Is it me, or does the sound driver sound similar to Gimmick's?
It definitely sounds Sunsoft-y. It's the bassline, mainly. You can find a similar one in other Sunsoft games, like Fester's Quest for instance.
It reminds me of Journey to Silius and some european nes games too.
Beat this one other day was quite the challenge another really smashing hack but not quite as trying as party bros that is hard they have really come a long way

I think the level designs are good, though it probably isn't meant for casual players. It feels like it was designed for people who thought SMB2J was too easy.

Despite the retarded "git gud" comments you'd expect, I thought there could have been more... something to the level designs. I'm not even sure "what", just "something". Like the one level with Hammer Bros and the brick wall background looked too much LIKE the Hammer Bros and brick wall levels.

I think that's the Block Clear music from Castlevania 3...
