FROM ES CUBELLS TO THE BEACH SES BOQUES.
An interesting route with a lot of culture.
CUBELLS IS a small town not of many inhabitants but endowed with almost everything.
Where we will find several restaurants, children's park, a mini walk and fabulous views with a church with a lot of history.
The ES CUBELLS church was born thanks to the impulse of the Carmelite religious.
Francisco Palau who settled in the parish and asked Rome for a license to build a hermitage dedicated to the Virgen del Carmen.
Since he considered that the residents in the area were very far from the nearest temple, in SANT JOSEP.
The letter was sent in 1855 and the reply from Rome came almost a decade later, converted into authorization to set up a private oratory in his own home.
In 1864 the little chapel was inaugurated. A few years later masses stopped being celebrated and the small temple was inhabited by hermits and farmers.
In 1933 the parish of Es Cubells was finally founded, beginning the works of a larger church in 1941.
The works suffered several stoppages and were not finished until 1958.
For this reason, the church of Es Cubells is the most recent of those that follow the typical rural architectural style of the island.
The old hermitage was incorporated into the new project as a presbytery.
The temple is small in size, with a single nave that is supported by buttresses and the rectory located at the back.
The apostle lived loneliness in ES VEDRÁ because of his intense love for Maria.

With spectacular fishermen's piers and a wonderful beach bar.
Where it is not open all year but when the season begins and the good weather does.
