Hey Puddin, your life outside of your channels is none of our business. Share what you like to, but never feel obligated to give more information about you and your loved ones than what y’all are comfortable sharing. Like you said some people out there don’t need to know where you and your family are sleeping. On the progress of the construction, I’m extremely glad that you have jumped way ahead of where you thought you would be. You deserve this for all you and your families hard work with getting content together and out for us to watch. You are every day hustlin, to make it better for yourself and family.
Hey Puddin. I was an electrician for many years. On your electrical boxes you can remove the raised industrial covers (the thing that has the receptacles mounted to it) from the 4 inch square boxes. Then buy plaster rings to mount to the 4 inch square boxes that are the correct depth from the face of the box to the finished wall. You then mount the receptacles to the plaster ring and can use standard device covers in plastic or stainless. Just trying to help. Shop is looking G.U.D!!
Exactly. Just to emphasize: plaster rings come in various depths. The Big Box stores will not necessarily carry the full range of depths available, but they can be had. Internet or electrical supply houses.
Standard face plates aint gonna fit with the OSB cut to the outside of the 4x4 boxes. They are all gonna have to be oversized plates, most likely jumbo. Sometimes you can find oversized stuff at the big box stores but more than likely have to go to a supply house. Otherwise I agree to ditch the industrial covers and get plaster rings.
@@user-neo71665 provided the OSB cutout is cut fairly tight around the box, standard size plates will cover two gang devices. I’ve done it a million times…literally. However if the cutouts around the boxes are too big then you are correct, oversized device covers will be needed.
The general population doesn't need to see the inside of the house. You're doing it right with the shop. Keep getting stuff done before you get in it. Be proud of where you are and keep movin forward.
You deserve all the success. Never apologize for it, and keep your family close and safe. No need to feel ashamed of that either. Make the shop what you want. I’m sure it will be awesome! You could post about changing the oil in you zero turn and we’d all watch it!
You've done such a great job making us all feel like we're part of your family. We as fans need to step back and respect you and your families privacy. We all appreciate everything you do to invite us into your life. Thanks for entertaining us and making us feel welcome
I agree about the house details. (not that my opinion actually accounts for much), but that is personal stuff. We care mostly about the shop stuff and that's where it should be. A person and their family needs some privacy on certain things. Good call Puddin. As always, we will watch what you put up. Take care and Merry Christmas to you and your entire family. Also, Merry Christmas to everyone here !
I agree keep your private life private. I am an old Air Force retired jet engine Technician myself (-F4) fighters).I love all your VIDEOS PLEASE KEEP UP the great work. By the way I watch both channels. And I never set 0n my a$$ when I have a project/work.
I think it boils down to this. There is so much negativity in the world, people just down right like seeing someone who is genuine and a great person succeed doing something they love. It's uplifting and well damn if you aren't fun to watch to boot. You are very open about your life and we appreciate that, but when you need to set boundaries everyone needs to just understand that. It's your life it's not all for everyone's entertainment. So happy to see you doing so well and will continue to support. Thanks again for such great content over and over and over. Really truly enjoy watching, brightens me up with every episode, even the old ones!!!
Puddin, we don't need no Steen-- keeng explanation each time of what your doing, you do it your way and let us just sit down and shut up and watch your videeos!! That's what we're here for!!
Just jumping on to say, Don't ever forget sir, you earned every last blessing you get to date and going forward. Congrats on this current blessing in progress. 👏🏻👏🏻✌🏻💪🏻🙏🏻
We learned the hard way in our shop - painted the walls a darker color - really made it dark when the doors were down repainted with a lighter color and woke it up lol. We are kind of liking the tin on the wall. You’re right on putting a pin in it for right now - no hurry!
Worked for years in a dark walled shop. Then painted walls, ceiling white and put a light Grey coating on the floor. Best shop upgrade ever. Not saying go white but go with a light color. Nothing beats a shop that feels lit up. I'd never go back to dark colors.
I always say that good things happen to good people... and nobody deserves to have good things happen to them more than you (and your family). You know that all of us are fans, and we are behind you 100%. Also, if you screw up, well, that just makes for good content! Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
You are wise to not move into the shop until it and you are ready! Speaking by experience, I moved into my garage before I had the insulation and the wall board up and it was a whole lot of extra effort to move everything over 18 years! That’s how long it took me to get it completely installed! Insulation and heat and lighting sure make a difference! Keep up the good work!
FYI Puddin, you need like a 1/2" extension ring for your electric boxes. Not sure if your boxes are 4" square or 4-11/16", but they make them for both and any electrical supply house will have them. Install that and reinstall the quad receptical covers you have, or for a cleaner look, you can purchase some "JUMBO" covers that will mount flush and cover up any cracks/openings. Your hard work is paying off for you brother. Super proud for you and your family 👪
They are 4" squares you can tell by the screw locations. Use a 2gang 1/2in rise plaster ring and the jumbo stainless cover. Or get white plastic and he can paint them.
@@camarondavisfulHe can also buy the Nylon Jumbos in gray, but they would probably have to order them in, because they're not that common, but they look great and the Nylon is practically indestructible.
That shop is awesome. It'll be great when you can get moved in. Take your time to make it exactly what you want. The house is private, no need to share it with everyone.
I agree with you. Just because you feel like all you followers are cool, there’s always that one creeper. Puddin has always kept his family off to the edge of his channel, involved but not overly so. I’d say keep it that way, better safe than sorry.
Yep, a surprising amount of TH-camrs have had people somehow figure out where they live and show up (Mike Finnegan and Mighty Car Mods being notable examples). Even if those fans are well meaning with no bad intentions, I wouldn't want to have unannounced people showing up at my place..
And thanks for taking everyone along on your journey, it’s not always about what you’re working on or whatever… people watch because you’re honest about what you’re doing and saying and not trying to be what you’re not
I knew Puddin could count. I didn't know Puddin has 18 fingers n toes though. You are not dreaming. This is your life. Enjoy the ride and don't expect that ride to be all smooth sailing. Stuff you know already bro.
It does my heart good to see young people like your self keeping the American dream a live!!! It is so hard for young people to get started now days but you are proving that it still can be done! Keep it up brother!
You do you Puddin, whatever it takes. May you and your entire family have a wonderful and safe holiday season. If you have the time to put on some content I will be watching it. I will not miss one of your videos.
Hey Puddin, Congratulations on getting YOUR home built 10-15 years earlier then you thought. Been with you over a year now and you surely have grown. Great content, and fun to watch. Love your channels. Take care and be safe. Merry Christmas a little early to you, your family and all your subscribers.
two years watching, youve come so far! keep building puddin! looking good. that black top trim over the rusty metal would look good like a dark natural wood stain color. what ever you do will be fine! THIS IS PUDDINS FAB SHOP>>> not Tiramisu fab shop. it doesnt need to be perfect!
PUDDIN! This is YOUR SHOP!! It will look good no matter what you do. The shop is part of the support...the channel is about you and your projects. Keep up the good work!
Keep your life private, brother. The content you provide is awesome and we are grateful! To be honest, your personality is what captured and continues to capture our attention. God Bless! Merry Christmas!
Hey Puddin, amazing how quickly the house is coming up. No one need to see the layout or the inside, but I'm sure we'll see the outside in a few videos. As for the metal panels, how about laying them horizons instead. The ridges will make the walls look longer. It will also make capping the top and bottom easier. Take your time figuring out what you want because you only want to do it once. It looks great.
I would suggest using the rusty metal to use on the roof of the shop for the covered storage. Chalk a line right at the bottom of the electrical box opening and paint the bottom white. Then come back with some 1x4s painted PFS blue and run a chair rail to cover the transition in color and along the floor to trim it out. The white will be easy to freshen up whenever the time comes to "clean" shop, and the blue gives a little pop of color. Black is nice, but the more dark colors you put the less the light will fill the space. The slight reflection will be good for filming too!! It also helps the space feel more open whereas dark colors tend to close yhe space down. Just my opinion. Very happy for you and the family and I can't lie and say I'm a little jealous. I live in an HOA and the wife isn't moving. I can't build a shop and the garage is to visible to the neighbors who are all cubicle rats that hate anyone doing anything creative.
Very happy for you and your family! Not a boring video at all and no need to apologize. Very kind of you and your family to share your lives with us. Always glad to see someone succeed at achieving dreams. I just finished building a shop that I would have never imagined I could ever have....I know how your feeling!! Also love how you are being patient....Very wise to finish before moving in, otherwise your right, it will never get done! I salute you, your family, and all of your blood, sweat and tears in achieving your dreams!!!
Thanks for the update, man. You don’t owe us any explanations or anything really. But I’m happy for you to see things coming together and that you’re taking so much pride in your shop. Edit to add: You can find that J or C channel at Lowes or Home Depot in about any color you decide on. Plus 10% discount with you Veteran ID. 10% doesn’t sound like much, but it saved me $9,000 when I built my house for one of my ex wives.
I'm interested in the garage activity, I've learned a lot. Your house is your home. We don't belong there and don't need to see it. I respect your privacy. Thank you.
Yeah, the house is yours. The shop might be shown in the channel, and maybe a distant view of the house, but people asking more about your personal stuff should be ignored.
Yeah man. Time your viewers spend watching your content is our investment in your channel. I think its cool to see the "boring" stuff which in reality is probably the most exciting part for you. Also I don't blame you on keeping the build a little secretive. Your family's safety should be priority number 1. People be crazy sometimes so better safe than sorry sir. Keep up the good work.
Congrats on getting everything going with the new place. The shop is looking great. As a suggestion ( that you are welcome to ignore), look on some online yard sales for people remodeling homes and look for them selling cabinets from kitchens. Use them for some storage and workbench tops to give you a dedicated space for rebuilding all your carbs that you have. Don’t need countertops, just a thicker wood top. Paint them however you want with the old rattle cans. They are usually cheap and it’s not like you don’t have something to hall them or store them in until ready to use. Keep up the good work and Aim High!
Dont need to keep apologizing to us or telling us you keeping it humble. You do w.e you want with w.e you got. You been threw the mud for your whole life, and you work extremely hard to provide you and your family all you can. if you want a nice shop, do a nice shop. if you want to keep it w.e. keep it w.e. Aint nothing to gain by holding back. you deserve what you deserve and want
Thanks for sharing an update. Its coming along nicely. I agree about getting it at least 95% done before moving in. Ive been in my house almost 6 years and everyday I wish I finished the walls in my garage before we moved it and set everything up.
Great video telling it like it is! I look forward to watching both channels because they aren't full of burnouts, racing and "team" builds. Staying in the old shop until the time is right and growing one step at a time keeps it REAL for me and that's what matters the most next to family.
Proud and happy for you! I rarely ever skip an ad in your videos, I know it helps a lot getting that ad watch time up! Hope everyone else does the same, he deserves it guys! He works hard to give us all this content, least we can do is not press skip.
Just throwing it out there but I’ve seen people do some amazing looking wall coverings with pallet wood and reclaimed tin. Barn wood too if you can come across it, but pallets are super cheap or free. As for trimming out your outlets, you could always get a bunch of old license plates and make something neat with those, I did mine with diamond plate (you can also buy premade in all shapes and sizes which I’m sure your already aware of 🤷♂️) What ever you do have fun- you deserve it-I sure am jelly!
Don't be afraid of losing viewers because you spent time with the family, or if you decide to keep up the hustle ether way, I'll be watching both channels ready to hit that like. Have a Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and all that to you and the family Edit: diamond plate threshold for the trim or even plane aluminum threshold comes in polished, black, and raw. It's a little salty but it won't stick out any further and brakes up the rust
The new property is something I always look forward to on your channel. I'm excited to watch you build out your garage, and every update is highly anticipated. Please keep your family's privacy as secure as possible. We, your viewers, do not need to know anything that is a clue to where your property is located so no one comes knocking on your door. We don't need to know the details. It is interested to see how progress is coming on your house, and how your property is being developed for your family. But your privacy is your privacy and we do not need to intrude on it. Please keep up the video content on the shop and how you develop your new property. I'm interested, and many others are interested, in how you set up your new workshop.
It looking good and makes sense to take your time to build the house and the shop the way you and your family wants it. I don't think we need to know all the details about the house, but nice to seeing it going up at a distance. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
They come in assorted depths so you can bring it flush with your osb then use whatever color plastic cover, I suggest the jumbo oversized at lowes or HD. Ask your electrician, or me, I'm an electrician 🤣
I agree with most of your loyal fans in that you should keep the private life private. Like or not , you are in the entertainment business , and a celebrity and all of the unpleasantness that comes with it. I know you will keep that wonderful family safe and sound. Just hope the new place isn't too far from the Taco Boy! And was wondering , Once you get moved if Bill will move as well ? lol LOVE your channels , Like seeing Slick , He's an excellent side kick . You two interact like only good friends can. Keep livin that dream !!!! Thanks for the great videos.
Grey top. Black metal bottom. Puddin blue accent strip top of metal bout 5 in wide. Then the wife said. lil metal cut out of each truck in logo form about 5 feet wide on the gray all way round shop. So each Truck Yehaw Sausage Waggon and so on. We are super proud of you and your family for what you have accomplished. And coming up the way you did it means even more. I know cause like I said b4 I fell threw a mobile home floor myself. GOD Bless you and your family and Thank you for the enjoyment you give me and my family. Love ya brother !
I think it's really a smart idea to have that metal around the bottom of the walls inside. That will help from getting holes in the OSB if something rolls or slams into it. That whole garage is going to be a great work area!! 👍👍👍
I think the metal being the shiny silver roofing metal always looks nice and reflects a little light? Really enjoying the things you do! Keep it up and just share what you wanna share.
Hubcaps equal light switches use all the hubcaps you have acquired for the fun of it and then you can say today's power is brought you by slicks leftover love cap and now you power your portable luv saw 🤪
I like all your ideas so I'd say you can get a j channel for the bottom and then do the wood at the top with a 1 X 3 to cover to protect anyone from getting cut and to tie it all together and your satin black would be perfect
Hey buddy the only reason why I would be interested in the house would be to see how it is going for you it's nobody's business where you sleep or your kids especially progress on the shop yes definitely interested in progress on the shop this is yours man you deserve this you take your time get it right these things take time progress on the pond I'm definitely interested in that too but nobody needs to know where you sleep or your kids are sleeping love the channel love the content
Puddin, We just watched this episode. I have a suggestion on the tin. When you laid that tin down to cut it... the back side had a cleaner patina and you could cut off the end with lots of rust. Hang that tin with the most galvanized side showing instead of rusty side. We bought a stack of tin to build a shop 25 years ago. It sat around in a pile forever. One side was white the other was red. We decided the dark color inside on the walls made the shop dark so we put the red color toward the wall and used the white. I think you are on the right track about the rusty side... just flip it over! For above the tin, get a 2x4 and screw it right above the tin. That creates a ledge. Then lay a 2x4 directly on top to create a ledge. The front of the ledge could have hooks all the way down the wall for hanging tools, cords ect.
By the way... We love to watch your channel. You are good people and your humor and wit and style is contagious! Thank you for entertaining us here in Kansas from Pot Co Oklahoma! Caven and Melissa Portenier. I found a picture of my suggestion but I can't figure out how to attach it.
I like the lower height of the metal. I would do a 1x3 on top and overlap with a 1x4 to cover the seam at the top. As for the bottom id caulk it with the caulk they use in commercial buildings for the wide expansion joints. It will keep the sparks out and any spills.
1x4 trim board painted black to separate the Grey osb and the sheet metal super easy super clean might also look good with your outlet trim being black.
You could try burn/char wood and satin clear it. It's a Japanese way of preserving wood. Looks really good and cheap to do, brings out the grain, even on cheap wood.
You can get custom j-mold and trim pieces bent at a really affordable rate. Most of the metal roofing supply houses have their own brakes in house and bend their own corner, window, peak and valley trims as well as the J-base you mentioned. Mock some stuff up with cardboard then call around and get some pricing. You will be surprised at how affordable it is.
Don't be afraid to keep your life private. Be afraid of making your life public. Keep up the hustle. Love seeing you succeed.

Thank you.
I like your idea of the exterior color instead of the rust. It would flow better visually in my opinion. Thanks for taking us along!
Puddin good to see you hope you and your family are doing great merry Christmas
Always a good day when puddin uploads!
You're such a good dude you deserve everything you have man!
Yeah, the house is yours. The shop might be shown in the channel, and maybe a distant view of the house, but people asking more about your personal stuff should be ignored.
Showing the shop is cool and keep inside house private.
The walls going up on the house means it won't be long Puddin! All the best to you and your family. You all deserve it!
Way proud for you brother! Hopefully you’ll be able to get a lift or two for the shop. Possibilities are endless.
See you in a couple weeks, enjoy your family time, then we can all enjoy your new shop space. you're a pro.
Pushing when it’s hard is how you get to where you want go, keep grinding , we will be here to help the analytics :)
personality and honest educating content is what persuades me to watch and puddin has all that and then some. keep up the good work.
Don't be afraid of losing viewers because you spent time with the family, or if you decide to keep up the hustle ether way, I'll be watching both channels ready to hit that like. Have a Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and all that to you and the family
Edit: diamond plate threshold for the trim or even plane aluminum threshold comes in polished, black, and raw.
There are plenty of options for trim available in PVC...Check out some roofing places and cladding places etc., and they come in different colors. 😁
It's good to see all the entertainment you provide is paying off for you and your family. Be blessed this Christmas and always.
It looking good and makes sense to take your time to build the house and the shop the way you and your family wants it. I don't think we need to know all the details about the house, but nice to seeing it going up at a distance. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
You may have to go all Cletus and get a mini jet boat for the pond.
You could live in a box and it don't matter brother your content and attitude is refreshing. Your private life is yours
I love your perspective and outlook. Keep your life private while you keep supporters involved. Blessings to you and yours.
Awesome progress! Keep pushin’ it’s all gonna come together sooner than you (& all of us) realize!!
Satin black with PFS blue trim would look 🔥
You can get what's called a plaster ring for your outlets, then you can use a regular plastic cover and your trim rings.
And was wondering , Once you get moved if Bill will move as well ? lol
LOVE your channels , Like seeing Slick , He's an excellent side kick . You two interact like only good friends can. Keep livin that dream !!!! Thanks for the great videos.
Hey puddin... Remember horse power garage.. the paint scheme...now that is the cat's pajamas....
Congrats you deserve it you work your butt off
Do it in a satin black trim would look great
Hey buddy the only reason why I would be interested in the house would be to see how it is going for you it's nobody's business where you sleep or your kids especially progress on the shop yes definitely interested in progress on the shop this is yours man you deserve this you take your time get it right these things take time progress on the pond I'm definitely interested in that too but nobody needs to know where you sleep or your kids are sleeping love the channel love the content
I'm so Happy for you guys. ONE PROUD POPS
Lookin good man. 🙌
I'm so Happy for you 👏 I'm a old guy and I always want a shop.
Merry Christmas to you and your family God-bless
1x4 trim board painted black to separate the Grey osb and the sheet metal super easy super clean might also look good with your outlet trim being black.
Matte black for sure
BTW Ben watch for two years and love content
You could try burn/char wood and satin clear it. It's a Japanese way of preserving wood. Looks really good and cheap to do, brings out the grain, even on cheap wood.
Gray metal would work. The back of the metal is a lot less rusty, and that might work if you turned the metal around.
Could add stickers decals logos to the metal to add character to it and break it up more
DREAMS DO COME TRUE . ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.
I'm glad things are going good for you and your family
A blue strip on top of the trim would be cool
You could use thick floor boards and paint them the colour you fancy, cheap and a lot of design options
Don't care about where you sleep, I do hope your family is warm safe and comfortable though.
Hey puddin paint over the rust with some black or gray then use a stotch bright pad and make a little patina on those walls
