Pretty much any advanced pattern nowadays would be a sudden death with most of the attacks from gh3 XD. Imagine playing trills from Cry for Eternity, but with double notes... oh wait.

Glad someone cleared up the solo bonuses. Honestly the tourney got really lucky that solo bonuses didn't end up botching any results. The solos got close to screwing things but the numbers show the rigbt results still happened. Also, glad that pretty much everyone agreed that the solo bonuses need to be modified to keep them from taking away from the pathing focus of the tourney.
@@dbeast03 I think the song right before ukog lost solely to a solo bonus and without it he would’ve won and there would be no tiebreaker

Probably the best match. As good as the finals were, THIS put me on the edge of my seat!!
I was there and got to watch the whole stream and I just have to say it was absolutely beautiful. Ukog had the sim racing earlier so he was pretty tired and right after his first match he was so hyped and seemed almost the exact same as like the old days of guitar hero tournaments. I can’t wait to see this again it was absolutely beautiful

This was insane to watch live. Chat was popping off. Can I ask, on Canteena band, did you kinda know it was GG after the solo marker and intentionally miss-time the star power? I hadn't realised until rewatching that the difference in points was more than the solo marker difference

The solo marker controversy was all just a ploy to set up an epic rematch down the road. Classic grudge match setup.

You can definitely see how much more UKOG played versus by the aggressive playing to get more points, used to love watching you play GH3 back in the day and pulling the same moves.

That junk was INSANE!! I loved GH and I should have found a way to stick with it when it was going through the awkward port transition. Watching this has definitely got me swayed into getting back to the GH days

I think the solo markers put more tension in the match which makes miracles and makes for a better overall tournament imo

Where can i get that circus galop chart?
I think that solo bonuses should be allowed but with reduced rate and a cap on the bonus, meaning that you can't pull far ahead with just solo bonus but you can make up (a little bit) for pathing mistakes through skill. Something like a 10k point cap (can be different depending on the song), every note missed is 1/5 of the 10k. So even if you suck at pathing you can make the points tighter through the solo bonus. This was a blast to watch though, couldn't have been any tighter.
