Mahito weaknesses is that he lacks move that can be used as defensive, he does have bait moves, but unlike yuji, hakari, or gojo, he doesnt really have anything to get out of trouble For instance Yuji has manji kick, and cursed strikes, ones is a counter and the other one is a easy to hit move, hakari has a counter, and shutter doors that cant be punished basically, gojo has reversal red tp, and megumi has rabbit escape and toad Mahito has to consistently land his moves to put in pressure, and even so his pressure is huge, whenever he misses a move he gets extremely punished, plus using a move in the wrong way also makes them get punished, as his startup output is higher than most characters, even if the endlag is minimum When playing against mahito just recognize their skill and have caution with it, mahito is really the character with the most hidden weakness, but its a very fragile one if u know how to play ur cards well against it

1:40 As of the current update, you can ragdoll cancel out of black flash. If you dash to the side while clicking your m1's after ragdoll cancelling the black flash, it sets up the opportunity for you to land your combo. If you rag doll cancel before they use their combo, you're pretty much cooked.
as the other replies say its really abt ping, altough the combat system would be better if tze took a nice lil mechanic from tsb which basically makes you be able to hold block asap by just holding f during ragdoll or a m1 combo
Notice, Megumi aim weakness can be fixed by hooking up a controller to whatever you are using to play with because it gives you access to a lock on ability and nobody can escape and it makes all moves a definite hit, same goes for a lot of other games that give you lock on with controllers
For me I switch around the Megumi and Hakari strats. Megumi: 3/4 of his moves are blackable but they can all hit from mid range, so his win con is keeping you at that dustance and spamming util at you, but its still blockable so just spam that button, and dont give him space to breathe Hakari: he has only 1 long range move, while most are still blockable, he cant rlly use them as a combo starter(except for the doors of course) so for him itd be better to stay away, blocking against him doesnt feel as strong as against a megumi
mahito has 2 tech combo extender that actually works really well first one is with blades. foward dash and turn around right as you do it. 2nd one is with the gun move (i forgot what its called lmao) so when u shoot 2 times, immediately shoot the other way so opponent dosent get knockback. the bedt combo for mahito (with blades) is 3 m1s, foward dash and turn, 3 m1s, his third move (i forgor), 3 m1s, gun move and miss the last bullet, 3 m1s, forward dash and turn, 4 m1s (last m1 needs to be an uppercut), his hammer moves ASAP,

3:03 mahito has WAY more than 1 extender. he has the blades dash tech and the soul fire miss tech, which both allows you to reset m1s and extend. (their hard to do but still) also mahitos weakness is probably him being able to be punished easily (like hakari). moves like body repel are easily cancelled and punished with a front dash, focus strike is blockable and can be dashed out of if at a close range, soul fire is also blockable and punishable (with side dash + front dash) most of the time, and i think stockpile doesnt have s but maybe it doesnt, and the air variant is blockable.
Mahito does have another combo extender it’s blade forward dash and it can hit people who are down (I’ve been trying to get someone to notice this but if you go into build mode as mahoraga you won’t be able to fly and it will give you a low gravity state)
Fun fact when you are fighting a gojo user , when they use rapid punches , turn off shift lock and look behind the gojo user so as long as you have a dodge you can dodge behind them and combo them , this strat always works on them (as long as they are not try hard ) but if you do this strat enough on the same person they may be able to predict when you do it so yeah
Useful fact for mahito players: You can combo extend with body repel (When you eat a player with your Drake snake quickly disable shiftlock and click S) Opponent will land next to you and you dont need to flick your camera
Fun Fact: When a gojo user does Twofold Kick after the first kick/when their leg is in the air. if you m1 then while their foot is in the air you can cancel the move and combo them.
MAHITO’S 4th move has a long wind up which can be stoped. Combine this with the fact, much like Yuji, Mahito mains will land one combo before trying to use their 4th move. Don’t use ragdoll cancel until the end, so you can properly punish the wind up. If they are playing around the 4th move, like using it in the middle of the combo or start the combo, remember it is still Dodge able, and that counters don’t work on it. Just try to stay on your feet as much as possible.
Mahito his ability is mostly ranged so if you can keep close with him, you should be good and the reason that he’s able to get a bunch of hits off of you is because of his hammer move when he uses the hammers people normally dash backwards or to the side, which gives him the perfect time to either use his fourth move or second move do a lot of damage first he can use his second move then his fourth move or his second move first he can use his fourth move right after no one uses the third move. What you could do to prevent this is you use Manji kick and then use the rest of your moves except for crushing blow so then you can M1 him and then use it when you need to
Little something to add for megumi. All of his moves have high startup, meaning if you're constantly applying pressure on him there's little he can do if you do it right

The weakness for mahito is himself because if they miss their domain expansion or you managed to stay in their domain long enough for it to break you practically have the best chance of winning at that point because they don't have anything else on cool down they only have one ability left and they have to wait for their Awakening to run down
